Today i use the Wet Coat. I never used spray and rinse sealant. I have used and as drying aid Sonax BSD, Turtle Wax Seal and Shine Sealant and the Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray Coating. All of them and as drying aids leave streaks.....With the Wet Coat after the apply and the rinse i had not any streak. The gloss is amazing. Maybe the Sonax BSD has this gloss. My glasses in the car first time were so clean. The paint is slick. I dry the car with a CarPro Microfiber Towel and the dyring was very very easy and again without Streaks! I do not know about self cleaning properties. I have not ceramic coat. I know that with one pass with the Wet Coat i have gloss, water beading and no streaks. I do not know about its durability. But i know that i do not get tired in order to wash my car and to apply and a sealant most times with streaks and extra buffing. The price for 500ml is a bit high. But i do not spent time to buff the streaks!! Sonax, Meguiars, Turtle Wax has excellent spray sealant. This is very comfortable for me.

I also use this and find it really good and durable. Re-applying once every 3 months. Personally i lightly spray over a panel, then use a really wet microfibre to lightly rub the whole panel. Then jetwash off. Gives perfect coverage to all areas.

@@tonyhill1916 where? This what they say on their site: "Use Q²M WetCoat only on a wet surface and cool panel. Never use the product in direct sunlight. If you’re about to use the product in a warm or hot climate, work in sections. TIP: Rinse Q²M WetCoat immediately. Don’t wait for the product to dwell or react - the reaction happens while you rinse it. Do not spread it with mitts or towels, this is not necessary."

Its a great product for sure, used it for winter maintenance for over 2 years, wash with Bathe + and apply wet coat on top for extra protection. I prefer to spray onto a wet clean microfibre wash mitt and wipe it on, you can also put a small cap full of bathe + onto a wet mitt , wipe and rinse that on also, does the same thing. 👍👍

It would be interesting to compare wetcoat essence to wetcoat. According to Gyeon Essence is a completely different chemical makeup in addition to being dilute-able. They supposedly behave identically but suspect there must be some difference if the chemistry is not the same. We have to import essence in the US as not sold here for some reason.

I love wet coat!! I have found if you spray from the bottom up it helps to even out the protection. I also use it on the windows as I haven't ever had a problem with that. At first I tried to keep it away from glass but then I realized as I was spraying it off the car it was inevitably going across the glass anyway. Now when I drive I don't even need windshield wipers it's really that good!!

I've just come in from washing the car and seen this. I used wet coat but totally different method, I have a damp micro fibre towel and spritz into it. I then wipe a panel that I've rinsed then dry. I've been doing this for a while and I believe I get better coverage and it last longer.

I was using wet coat before your test video of similar products. Ever since then I’ve never tried a new one out, love the stuff to. Many use it on wheels summer/winter. Usually as it starts to get warmer and I don’t have an shade, I do use the Gyeon ceramic detailer on the paint instead and work in smaller areas. Thanks Jon

This is an awesome product that I bought for my JCW that I had ceramic coated then sold 2 weeks later. I predominately use now for plastic wheel arches and alloys with great effect as I am a wax man for bodywork. Another method of application is to spray it into the power washer jet as you rinse the car and spraying onto the car and spreading before rinsing.

I absolutely love this stuff Jon and for the type of product it is I think it’s arguably the best on the market. The only thing I do slightly differently than you did in the vid is I spray it over the entire car first which takes around 30 seconds or so then starting with the spray gun start at the same point as the wet coat and rinse off. I really do think the dwell time is key. That said in summer I’ll probably do half the car then rinse before doing the other half.

Always on my shelf for when I'm up against it or can't be arsed. Best and most cost effective method is to spread it with a wet microfibre. Top with Gyeon Ceramic detailer and maintain with Bath+ shampoo delivered through lance application.

Ever since I started using a very similar product years ago I never once looked back to traditional waxes. They just don't last as long and are not so quick to apply. I used to use one wax that is fairly hard to buff but had the best water repellence for a wax. That was Collinite's heavy duty insulator wax. I still consider it a good product even though I no longer use waxes, it was just one of the better ones I had. Now all I use are touchless sealants like the ones in this video. For their ease of use you can not beat them! You simply can't beat them!

I wonder if this product can be diluted. To get even coverage, it seem like you have to use a lot. Currently, I use this at every wash but just keep an eye out for less hydrophobic areas while I am doing the initial rinse, make a mental note and hit those areas directly. There’s a great video from AutocareHQ on the best way to get the most durability out of Wet Coat in application. It’s probably the best alternative to TW spray on sealants now that they have kind fucked it up with the new range. It’s confusing and doesn’t appear to be as good as the previous range.

  • @BarryCoombs1
    @BarryCoombs1 Жыл бұрын

Tried this after watching your first review of it but it just didn't do it for me. Couldn't see any sign of self cleaning, poor durability and a bit if a faff to apply compared to a foam lance applied sealant like AutoGlym's Polar Seal which are so quick and effective which also had (for me better durability) but It's easy to apply after every wash though I knock down the dilution ratio bit (3 capfuls to 300ml water instead of the recommend 4 capfuls to 200ml) after the first application as that's where they score for me - getting the car done quickly when it's too cold to be hanging around. I've relegated it to use on the wheels now until it's gone. Still it's all in the fun of trying out different products now and again. Thanks for the videos - looking forward to seeing the 996 C4S being done at some point. It's overdue a bit of love. 😃👍🏾

@@OraEtLabora0 When you are rinsing your car you spray wet coat into the water jet. That way the product spreads evenly. Best to use a short lance for this.

i use it often, so simple... i recommend emptying Nozzle after each use so it doesn't jam with product Crystalizing over time.

I imagine Wet Coat and CarPro's HydrO2 Lite are quite comparable. I wouldn't mind a video on that.

Have always found it hard to look past Koch Chemie Protector Wax personally, so easy to use in a lance. I do like Gyeon stuff though, quality products.

I agree on the Gyeon products work, but the only thing i dislike is the sprayer and i have swapped out for a so called chemical resistant sprayer from Meguiars product range. And the difference is noticable and would reccomend for products like Glass or Prep. Try change the sprayer for a better one and you will be amazed more!

For the commentors using the wet microfiber method, wouldn't using a ceramic detailer or drying aid generally be better?

Hi Jon, Another great video. Once this Wet Coat is applied and rinsed off and car dried, do you know if I can apply a coat of P&S Bead Maker on top? many thanks

Auto Finesse Lavish Ceramic foam is far superior to this product. Just a concentrated snow foam so very easy to apply post-wash and up to 6 months’ protection (3 months in the real world). Would like to see this get formally reviewed on the channel!
