Power is out here in MD due to rains from Tropical Storm Ophelia, so what better time to listen to scary stories in the dark?! Also, as someone who grew up in North Idaho I always get so excited when I hear places like Kootenai County mentioned! For somewhere so vast & rugged as North Idaho, not too many people actually live there, so I love hearing stories from there. The town I grew up in only has a little under 500 people in it, and if you blink too fast while driving through the town, you might just miss it. The 10 years I lived there will stay with me forever & helped mold me into who I am today. Such a beautiful place, but there’s definitely something spiritual linked to that area that is hard to describe. If you know, then you know.

The final story doesn't make much sense. So the entity is...an elk? Or...what? She never describes it or why she thinks it's this entity specifically causing these issues. How did the camping stories at all relate to the entity she thinks is attached to her? Few things in this story seem like anything supernatural, aside from the hauntings going on at the one job. It just reads like someone who has had a hard life and bad judgment in relationships. I'm sympathetic to someone who has had so much struggle, but way too much was left out to make sense.

Many demon-like entities are said to be able to take on different forms or mimic other animals/people. The author mentioned it mimicking other voices. I'm guessing her theory was that the strange elk was the same entity that presented itself with green eyes later on. And that the entity attached itself to her and followed her out of the park perhaps?

I hope all of you get the help YOU need. Obviously none of your mama's taught you "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" You know nothing of the girl who wrote this, only what you've heard in this few minutes of a story. Some people aren't great with writing or composing their thoughts into words, or maybe she figured the listeners would have the capacity to draw connections on their own (that was her mistake.) Whatever it be. She does describe the entity as she sees it and the manifestations that she believes is one/all the same entity. Whether it is or not is not for us to say. It's her experience. I'd put money on you all being same people in comments elsewhere using fad words and whining about "gaslighting" and "invalidating someone's experience" without looking in the mirror yourselves.

First of all, you gotta be around people who are calm and can trust will calm you down if something goes wrong. I normally wouldn't condone using benzos at all but having some handy when situations like this arise is a good idea (but only for emergency). Secondly, you should also make sure that you're in a safe place where you're comfortable and won't feel trapped or too far away from help. Saying a prayer certainly wouldn't hurt either particularly because when certain parts of the brain are stimulated it's an open invitation to possession by certain entities looking for a place to stay/hide. Ya know how they say: _"it was like he/she was a different person"_ or _"it was like something just came over them"_ Environment and mental/physical health are always governing factors. Hopefully anyone reading this is now more educated on the matter.

How tf are you supposed to expect a dog to not chase squirrels when off leash and off duty?? There are many behaviors my service dog knows he's not allowed to do when working, such as barking, but it would be unreasonable to expect him to NEVER bark. I have never heard of this being a standard for service dog training.

  • @macabre.barbie

@@melissa_18216 It's not just service dogs it's dogs in general. Letting them kill things unless explicitly trained to such as hunting dogs is a bad habit and can cause serious issues. And I expect it because many dogs don't do it because they're taught not to lol

It's pretty rude to expect someone to disclose their disability. At least in the US, it is illegal for someone to demand that answer. In general, public establishments are only allowed to ask: 1. Is this a trained service animal? 2. What type of task is it trained to do? Just FYI. She did mention it was a medical alert dog, meaning the dog can detect imminent medical episodes of different varieties, via smell.

Regarding the story about the Ozark howler or dog man, I just find it hilarious how people will paint themselves as the victim and say they feared for their lives, when in the story it expressly mentions that the creature could of killed him if it wanted to but left them alone, in my opinion he was actually the aggressor, the creature was simply observing them and as stated made no moves to attack them nor did it show hostility up until he shot at it, therefore I’m on the creatures side, the person writing the story is the provicator or instigator in this situation

To the person who sent in the last story. Early childhood trauma is one of the things Catholic exorcists tick off on a check list to see if someone is possessed. In your situation, you are pre-possession, but on the road to that. If it is a demon, then that's what it wants. To wear you down until you give up and give in to it. Don't. Stay strong. Seek out the assistance of an Exorcist, and see about ridding yourself of said demon.

It hunts her because she is good it hates her because despite everything it threw at her she does not break nothing infuriates a demon more than a good and honest person that does not break.

that last story there no way it was a skinwalker a devil of some sort yes but skinwalker no way and working where she was would all kinds sense to some of that activity and why that thing would have the power it did because some of the people who live there sadly are on the last legs of their journey through life make the place a place associated with death like hospitals and places like that also in other words cleansings and things like that would not work
