And both my parents are Mexican and I am still called a gringa by my inlaws. My husband's nephew told me that at least I was half Mexican, so that wasn't so bad 😒 so I feel ya on the gringa comment

When you mentioned that coffee shop Hule and how people are in outfits I thought maybe you can find a way how to show us the style of people living in Mexico.. maybe have some interviews with people, let them explain how their style has evolved or maybe changed for those who have moved to Mexico from abroad. You can talk about your own style and its evolution. Your fashion content was always so good, so I would love to see something like that. I also remember one of your last videos where you showed us things you bought in Mexico, like local interesting shops and designer pieces and I loved that so much ♥

The fashion content got me here but I think it would be awesome to see everyday Mexico life videos!

I am so glad you are loving Mexico City, I did 9 mos. and did not have a great experience. I grew up going to mexico because I am originally from here but I was actually super let down. I was met with a lot of hate towards foreigners ( I was treated as one although I speak Spanish and am from here) and every place we went to we were treated with the worst customer service, and were constantly getting uppriced once they realized we were from the U.S. Completely diff experience then when I used to visit the smaller towns. Also because a lot of us from the U.S are moving down to Mexico the prices for an airbnb are ridiculous. you are paying as much as some cities in the U.S and we are outpricing the locals and making things more expensive for them. But anyeho, Glad you are loving Mexico city, wish I could have had that same experience. I also did Colombia and had the best experience, Medellin is a dream and in my opionion it was 10x better than Mexico city and the people are welcoming and nice!

Also love your routine videos, like maybe a what I eat in a day now that you’re in Mexico City, or an updated morning/evening routine, morning/evening skincare routine, and if you’ve gotten any cool skin treatments in Mexico City. I know these could all be considered basic ideas, but I love these kind of videos haha, so maybe I’m just basic

Gringa usually just refers to people born in the U.S. (most also to any white people) I'm always in Mexico and it is obvious when people are from the U.S. (that's what all my couins say lolz no matter how much people try to blend in they can tell especially with accents/slang/access to types of clothing). It is not invalidating our experience on being Mexican

Don’t feel bad for the mass migration issue. Poverty, classism, fascism, racism etc are products of institutions created by white Anglo men and perpetuated by white folx who aren’t affected by them. You’re Mexicana Latinx Peruana you have a right to be in your home 💕 also I’d feel the same about the gringx thing too lol but I think in Spanish speaking countries outside the US it more so means foreigner.
