In this video, I discuss some of my reasons behind making the choice to leave the United States to live abroad.
As a single mom I was unaware of the challenges that I would face doing motherhood alone. Fortunate for me, I have a greater understand that I do not have to be victim to my circumstances. I get to choose my destiny. In doing so, I am able to explore other cultures and experience different ways of life while exposing my son to the same. I'm also gaining a better understanding of the global community and see how people live in other parts of the world. Overall, the United States hasn't felt like home since the pandemic and we know home is truly where the HEART is.. Tune in to our journey as we settle in and explore our new normal here in Curacao.

Louise - keep moving to your own vibe. Same happened to me when I moved to East Coast from San Francisco. Friends became soooo ummmm not in my best interest for what I had planned for myself. It was really weird because you trust folks and then you feel suddenly betrayed. Your lens will become clearer as you settle in. Continue to trust your own energy and yourself. That little boy is absolutely adorable ❤. All the best to you and your son in 2023!

if you ever get frustrated there you can always move up to puerto rico or the virgin islands (im from there) you can still use your citizenship and benefits. spanish is easy to pick up. you should not worry about hurricanes. i left st thomas when i was 14(my siblings were starting high school/college) and our lives never stopped because of the weather. so any island in th region will suffice. not grenada as there is an active volcano on that side.
