You missed the point of the Dramatic Capture sets. That is Takara and really for the Japanese market. Japan didn't get the other versions of Jazz we got. They will say the same thing about the new Soundwave which is more for our market since many missed out on the Netflix version. Hasbro though has been doing toy and cartoon versions which used to be the difference between them and Takara. You just make your choice. No need to buy everything. And I definitely would stand behind the Autobot 5 pack. It is amazing... I do feel they will give us a new Hound for SS86. I want the rest of the Autobot cars to be produced without the clear plastic and painted windows to match. A lot of those figures they will probably not do again for anywhere between 6 and 10 years. I will be old then, so now is the best time to collect. I just want to complete the G1 cast at least. They keep stretching out the few characters left. They aren't completing teams. That's my only complaint. I hate 3rd party takes.

Completely understandable

What chapped my hide was them only redoing the ER Prowl(that so many people missed) once as the damaged version. Yet, Wheeljack and Arcee got repacked and repainted like 5 or 6 times each. That 5 pack should have had Prowl instead of Wheeljack.

Bro, in 2020, 1 year after siege springer came to retail, I picked 2 up at ross for $11 each. Aint no way hasbro selling a slightly retooled one for $55.

I’ve been all in on masterpiece for a while and avoided mainline until siege and earthrise hooked me with g1 looking bots that were fun and simple to transform. But yeah the stuff hasbro pulls is insane! Time to try to get out on the Hasbro stuff or at least all the versions.

Hi! Loved your video. Everything you said its true. I'm a 40yo european, I work but not that I have an awesome buyer power, and here toys are more expensive. Transformers is my favorite brand from childhood, so when Siege got out I thought that was the way to start collecting. 6 years after, I totally regret it. Lately I was capable to sell some old figures like Jazz or Wheeljack that I got the new ones, and not buy figures like 86 Magnus, or 86 Springer. But I look to Prime, Galvatron, Blitzwing, expensive figures, and having SURE there will be better versions, at least colorwise, it makes me really sad. And they will be hard to sell. I would love to go back in time and just collect, for example, fantoys figures, at least all of them have quality and as funny as it looks, after all the spendings those are MP figures that become cheaper than all these chug figures we keep substitute.

Amazing seeing all U young cats into something was into back in the day. Personally do not like any after beast wars/ beast machines. Still own all my vintage G1 Transformers inc Soundwave N most of the cassettes. Can Tell Hasbro N Mattell been cutting corners for decades. Cheerz

And my hopes for those new figures went crashing and burning. Yeah Takara Tomy released that mold in the Dramatic Capture Nemesis Crew set.

Someone linked your video in a server I’m in. Just wanted to comment to say that you make a lot of sense without over-preaching and it’s something the community needs more (so I hope you continue to make videos). Something interesting that Ive learnt is that western collectors tend to prioritise “value for money” whereas asian collectors prioritise the completeness of a product. A consequence is that products made for the west (legacy, studio series, earthspark) are often compromised by having to fit a certain pricepoint (i.e deluxe, voyager, leader) because that’s how western collectors judge value, whereas products made by takara for Japanese collectors (missing link, masterpiece) don’t have the same budget driven compromises. It explains why most western collectors aren’t happy to buy a masterpiece megatron (or less expensive ko). Siege/kingdom megatron isn’t nearly as good, but it’s just good enough to fill the slot in their collection and it’s cheaper, so it’s better value for money (in their minds).

And at one point I had the same view that they were good enough but when a so much better version is only 2 to 3 times the price why not make the switch especially these people who complain that megatron should be a gun just buy the masterpiece

Hasbro had nothing to do with Nemesis and Ark sets. They are made purely by Takara, they just gave Hasbro some to sell.

I was watching a clip the other day and they had said that the Leader Soundwave in the pictures that the designer posted pics of isn't gonna have the same paint apps as the Nemesis Bridge set, so those shiny forearms and feet are just gonna be dull grey like Seige/Legacy. B.S. like that is what bothers me. I can't lie and say ill never buy nothing from Hasbro because I've got a seven year old and I pretty much have to buy two of everything. What finally broke me was not being able to find a Tarn in the wild. I had no idea it was gonna get short packed. After looking for months I went to ALI Express and paid $38 for an oversized K.O. of Tarn because I could never find one. It's full diecast, light up cannons and overall just made better. I got two of those for what one Legacy Tarn was going for on Amazon. We got a couple Bludgens so we have experienced the mold. (The Tarn KO is worth the long trip from China BTW). I got sidetracked, great video young man. The only way to hurt Hasbro is to hit them in the wallet. Your not alone, they have soured even the old G1'ers like me. Like protonan said, were never gonna get what we want. It's out there Hasbro just don't make it at the moment.

Very true and yeh I thought about buying that ko tarn too it just seemed a lot better made and just cooler but I was fortunate to get the legacy one I didn’t know it was short packed I just preordered it on big bad toy store thanks for watching

I hear ya. I hear folks say they missed whatever toy and I'm glad that many have second chance to get that toy. I never got Cosmos and I refuse to pay scalper prices so I'm glad him and Galaxy Shuttle are coming back out. whenever that is. I don't buy and resale my toys cause who wants the older version when the new version is . . .there. Just get the stuff you want and don't worry about picking up everything. I think folks feel frustrated with all this which is why on the complaining then buying. I got Siege Springer but I ordered new Springer cause the new stuff with him. I can't explain it with him but I do agree with your points. I figure I can change my mind and cancel. But I have not ordered Soundwave, Blaster, Autobot 5 pack, Nemesis set or Ark set. I got Dietrus and past Hounds. I do hate that new Soundwave has Buzzsaw in with him. Version of Buzzsaw I don't have. That part sucks but I talked myself out by looking at the tapes over the years I do have which has couple of different Buzzsaws. Maybe Buzzsaw and Hound will be re-released sometime down teh line. Perhaps I'll pick up the Ark next year at show. Don't have Teletran. It sucks cause if Hasbro just release just Buzzsaw or just Hound without everything else, I would buy it and love it. Hasbro has already done this to Star Wars crowd. I scoffed at the Nemesis set. I have all three and I 3D printed myself the throne and entire shelf of the base to go in.
