Brian and the rest of the guys there are phenomenal people and very knowledgeable. I floated the trem on my Strat according to Carl Verheyen’s video a few year’s ago and it’s been that way since. It’s great. The one thing I miss is being able to do double stop bends in tune. Carl says he solves this problem by resting the heal of his right hand on the bridge. That hasn’t come easily to me.

If yes, did you have any issue with the saddles ending up bottoming out? Thanks!

@@Pantalooj Some people like the trem to float parallel to the body (how it is shown in the PRS video), and other like the trem to be floating up from the back and touching the body at the screws (basically how any Fender comes from the factory). I have an American Pro II strat with a two-point trem that is floating with the trem parallel to the body and I really like it that way. I've never had a "traditional" style 6-screw trem with a parallel float but I'm eager to try it on my Silver Sky. @@coreycongilio Great video, Corey! I copied what you did exactly and noticed that afterward when the trem arm is pushed all the way in that it won't quite clear the volume control or the switch when it swings. Did you find that as well? Someone mentioned in another forum that this was the reason why PRS recommends you install a shim and loosen the six deck screws. I'm wondering if I can get away with just loosening the deck screws. I'm guessing that adding that fourth spring back might fix the issue as well but I like the looser feel of the three springs.

Not at all! However, it's always best to have a luthier help if you're uncomfortable.

If anyone hates the Silver sky headstock tell them how but ugglyyy the music man headstock is and tell them to frick off I think it's pretty gorgoues of a rewriting the PRS headstock Also wrll the Silver sky trem uses the same knife edge screws.. And they made a professional video on how to make it properly float right Idk how I feel about the back plate sideways thing tho.. But just raise the 6 screws up how the normal prs trems are and give a proper setup
