Thankful for your husband’s service and the sacrifices your whole family has made over the years. Thanks for sharing your new space.
Thanks for sharing. I like your setup. It's very well organized. I love organization. I'm a newbie at cardmaking and while viewing craft rooms tours, it was, FOR ME, very intimidating. I was looking to change my desk, which I like very much and decided to keep it. I work on a 3" x 6" Costco folding table and not willing to let it go. Instead I could use that money for tools. Down the road I'll have a PVC top, cut to size at Home Depot, laminate it and keep it! My craft room is small, but I love and enjoy the space. I'm grateful for what I have and being a 68 yr old retired woman, I have been blessed with being crafty, AND I want to spend whatever years the Lord spares me, to craft-craft-craft!
Welcome back to the South! Yes, that is a Hemnes dresser from IKEA. It’s a great dresser complete with the matching glass top!
But wait! That’s a very nice space - lots of room, lots of storage. Neat - as in tidy and neat as in nice! Retiring from the military. That will be or is a change for sure. Someone below said thank you to your husband, you and your family for your service. Yes, thank you!
Laurel, love your videos! Congratulations to your husband on retiring from the military. Thank you both for your service for our nation.
First off…wow! Your hair looks gorgeous, Laurel!! Sincerely!! So flattering on you. Second, thanks for the tour. I too have a hodgepodge extra bedroom craft room. It works great for me. Sometimes I get enticed to create a ‘fancier’ craft room (those videos!) but just haven’t pulled the trigger. You’ve really streamlined your craft stash. I need to do that also. Get overwhelmed with too many choices at times. Becoming a more thoughtful craft purchaser, not so impulsive. My Visa thanks me. Lol. Thank you for your no nonsense crafting style, it’s a refreshing balance! 💙💜💙

Thank you! :):):):)
I appreciate you being real!! We appreciate your husband's service.
Laurel, thank your husband for his service and a big hug for yourself, from me, for being the support he needed. We are a military family, also. So, when did you live in Connecticut?!! I’d hate to think we were neighbors and didn’t know it. 😉 Thank you for the tour of your studio. It looks like it flows and, works perfectly. You certainly make beautiful art. I did the very same thing with the Singer sewing base and the top to an old coffee table top. Great minds think alike, as they say. Be blessed in your new home and life. ❤️
THANK YOU 2 U & YOUR HUSBAND 4 22 YEARS OF SERVING OUR COUNTRY!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY!!!!! I go up 2 a veteran out in public & shake their hand & tell them THANK YOU FOR SERVING OUR COUNTRY. They need 2 hear that from us. Thank u 4 sharing your new craft room with us. It is simple & beautiful. Where in Florida r u from? I grew up in Florida. I lived in Florida until I got married. Enjoy your new home & being closer 2 your family. Have a very blessed day.
Welcome back, you were truly missed, no one is as funny and full of energy like you are. Georgia would be a beautiful place to live. You have to try their peaches, now! It’s peach season. So glad your getting settles in. A huge thank you to hubby for his service.
Hard coffee cups… YES! And they are handy in my craft room! Georgia.., well okay?!? Enjoy growing your roots!
I think your craft room is lovely, so warm and inviting with stories to tell!
I love your craft room. It's clean looking, organized, fun, interesting, and looks like an area that I, not just could, but would work in. I'm like you in liking the fancy craft rooms, but they're not necessary. Thank you to your husband for serving, you for your part as a wife in supporting him so he could do what he needed to do. And last but not least, your children for their part. I was raised a military brat, as well as being a military spouse, and a mom to 2 step sons that were military. My husband was in for 24 yrs, and loved it. Best of luck in GA. Enjoy retired life! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
I have been crafting for over 20 years and I am BACK to my dining table!
Thank you for your husbands service.and for all you do. I'm with you on the tours of craft rooms. They come up in you tube,I just skip them now. Love your room, especially the treadle sewing table. I have my mother in laws machine. Love them. I took over my sons bedroom when he got married. It's my sewing / craft room now. Said I'd never get into paper crafts / card making. I have tons of material and paper stuff now..and it's a nightmare. Problem I have with my room is,I only have 1 full wall that I have 3 large shelf units on it...full. my other 3 walls- 2 have a window and other has closet with a shelf unit next to it. All the rooms I have seen, they only have 1 window in them. Also live in a log home and the walls are flat side of logs so I can't just hang things wherever. Lol love how your room is. Looks comfortable too. Hope to get my room organized soon. I know I have too much is my problem. lol thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
The "dog eats art story" is all too familiar. I'm glad you had a scan!
I am all about using what I have. Bookcases, hutches, dresser, pegboard, and a 4 drawer file cabinet that holds my 8.5" x 11"cardstock. When we bought our house, there was already a built-in desk, shelves and closet on one wall in a basement bedroom. I turned that into my craft room. My husband put up pegboard on three sides of the desk, where the sides of the closet and shelves forms a recess. It is so handy, having so much within easy reach. Would I love a custom-built craft room? Absolutely. Is it a necessity? Not at all. I know where everything is, and try to put everything back, when I am done crafting.
It’s beautiful! And we rarely eat in the craft/dining room. Lol
Congratulations on retirement💕 My husband retired 22 years ago from army .
Love your new space. My previous space was 400 SQ ft. I am now Dow n to 56-- but the creativity goes on. Be blessed in your new home
You are so funny and good - i wished I had watched this 3 years ago behold I spend money ! Thank you
Love your hair and welcome back to the SOUTH. Thank your husband for his service for all of us
*sounding like Trudy who is Dorothy's high school friend on The Golden Girls* Boyyyyy have I missed you!!🤣. I really like your hair, I think it's beautiful. I have an extra room as well and decided to dedicate it to crafting. I started out on a card table (the one that comes with the 4 folding chairs🤣) I knew that wasn't gonna hold up over time so instead of getting a "desk" I purchased another dining room table. This room that I am in is multi-purpose however, it works for everything I do. It's my craft space/Office/pantry/laundry room. What helps me the most is how I have things positioned, plus the origami shelving units. Thank you for the tour Laurel and Welcome Home!!😁
First thank you and your husband for 22 years of service and sacrifices you both gave to us !🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Agree about the show room type rooms Woukd I then be afraid to mess the place up mmm I work out if an extra bedroom with a queen bed So very limited My only Beef is I need a bigger desk with drawers that fit between a window n am armoire (they left us in the house) and hot damn it's so so handy !!!! ❤️❤️❤️Won't give it up n use 1/2 of that closet in the room Maybe just maybe I need to listen to you n PURGE 🥰🥰🥰love watching ya Laurel Hope you enjoy this new place in Georgia n have fun!! ❤️❤️❤️✝️☮️✝️👏
Wow!! 22 years. That's incredible! I can't imagine being separated from my husband periodically like you have (even though my husband has been in heaven for the past 12 years now). Anyway, God Bless you both and happy life in Georgia!! Anyway, I just had to tell you that your craft room is fantastic. Mine is similar. We still make great cards, right? I just LOVE the painting you did of the bay window. It is so beautiful to me; so colorful and inviting!!! I think it would make a great stamp set -- the windows and all the things you might do at that window -- painting, drinking coffee, relaxing, putting cut flowers or growing plants there. Also, would you consider selling a copy of that painting? I would love to have that picture in my craft room.
Your room is kind of like my shed. Yes we bought the shed because we don't have room in the house. But a lot of the stuff was reclaimed to decorate it. We used old wood and metal from an old hog barn. But I love it, and it's my little home away from home lol
Love your craft room..mine is all using what I have..congratulations on your family’s retirement.. I say that because it is.. I am the other half of a military retiree.. we are special people..
I so admire & revere military personnel! They will do for me what I am afraid to do. God bless your family. My craft space is just a collection of storage space-nothing fancy! But I love it.
I love your craft room! It works for you. I like mine too. Every time I get a new piece to help organize my craft space things get lost! So I'll stick to what I have, Thank you! I do like your clear fridge bins. Hmmm.
I love it!
I have to use my kitchen table. Have a pull cart with 12 drawers. Some cheap organizers. I paper quill. Use what you have. You can doit. : )
❤️❤️❤️ I love it !
It's Gorgeous!
Thank your hubby for his service Thank you for your videos keep your mojo going.. I loved boiled peanuts when living in Florida but back to Illinois 😖
Commend you are on your organization! Thank you & your husband for your service.
Thank you for sharing your videos
Love your room.!!
Great craft room. Thank you.
Love your craft room.
I always love your videos...you're so REAL. Thank you both for your service! Being a military wife is no walk in the park. Congratulations on moving to GA! I live in Dallas GA, are we neighbors? LOL!!
Wow, the Singer iron brought back tons of memories. My Mom used to have a sewing machine table just like that, of course, minus the top you have on the iron. I also like your simplicity. Truth be told, I saw your KZread channel a few times, and 'found' your personality to be sort of intimidating; however, for some reason I kept watching your videos, LOL. You are not intimidating at all, you just say it like it is. And I love that about people. Much success!

Great room Laurel. 😊
Three things: (1) THANK YOU to your husband for his service to our country! And THANK YOU to you and your family, I know it's not easy being military family, sacrifices are made by all and we appreciate them! (2) WHY DID I THINK YOU ARE CANADIAN?! Have I lost my mind? Don't answer that! (3) Your craft room is gorgeous! It's nice and large, has beautiful windows, your storage is perfect, your entire room is clean and fresh looking and it's bright and cheerful! I love the homey touches of the beautiful desk your husband made you, that totally cool and useful pegboard, the lovely printer table and the converted sewing machine stand (I adore antiques!). It's such a lovely room, I wish I had one just like it. Thank you for sharing your new room, and I hope you enjoy living in Georgia!
You are just the best... You always make me laugh I think we would get on so well ... I love your space it is like mine... Hi Laurel! New subbie here 😃I think your craft room is great! I unfortunately have the “I need everything” germ and for almost a year, I have been purging my craft supplies…I love your down to earth personality and the tips you share. Congratulations on your new home and being back in the south.
Your hair is fantastic! Lovely to catch up. Enjoy the new lifestyle and thank you for your practical advice.🤩🇦🇺
I thank your hubby for his service. And thank God for yours too.
Grits and boiled peanuts, 2 of my most favorite things in the whole world!!! Headed to South Carolina today. Looking forward to those goodies and fried shrimp!!! Enjoy your new home! Love the new space
Max! Who’s the best good boy?! 1) Your hair is too cool. 🏆 2) Love your craft room, airy, organized. 3) ExpedIT rather than ITE. 4) Holy cow, you are one talented artist. Your work is beyond delightful. I’d buy one if you’re selling. Etsy is calling.

Welcome back to Georgia!
Welcome to GA! We can get together and craft. Love your hair. Your room looks amazing. Lisa
Hi Lauren great to see you, lovely craft room, lots of light. Thx. Njoy your new home and location.nga mihi NZ
Tell your husband thanks for his service!!! Love your craft room!! I am also from Florida and have lived in North Georgia for 17yrs now!!
Thank you Laura I need one which is so hard and now I am disabled now . So getting harder to go to fairs and roadside sales. ❤️ your craft fair and have plenty things from different places but I pray this year since July 22, 2022 when my apartment flooded I am going take my bedroom and make a craft room 😊 TFS
I have so many supplies on my dining room table, there's no room to actually use any of them! It drives my hubby absolutely insane...
Dear Laurel Love your laugh and the new hair style .it suits you very well. Thanks for the tour. Missed your videos the last few weeks. Tc stay safe and blessed
Great and beautiful craft room. I like how you re purpose things like the doors and sewing table. I have to open my eyes and mind next time and thin’ avout how things can be used in different ways
My son and daughter in law are stationed in Japan. My dil does crafting and takes what she can when moving then sells the rest. She helped Mt design My craftcroon and it's market place finds, walmart cubes and repourposed home items. I love it. Thank you for your service.
Love it. Simple is good. I'm getting ready to pack up my craft room and redo it. I'm tired of carpet. So I'll paint first then have Lowe's come 8n and lay vinyl flooring throughout the house. I bought a couple of Ikea table tops to give me more work space. My craft room is 8'x16' with a closet. I have lots of stuff. Hoping that I'll be able to organize it better once I start putting everything back in.
GRITS YUMMMMMM
Love your room. What’s in all the drawers? 😁
Beautiful room. I use my money on supplies.
Thank you husband for his service. Happy y’all are able to settle down. I live in NC so we are practically neighbors! Always look forward to your new videos.
Your space is great. I also would love a beautiful craft room. However I’m a new card maker and I decided that I would use the cash to get supplies. I work in my unfinished basement with a small window above my desk.
I also have a hodge podge craft room. Some IKEA, some amazon - some free. Also, those darn animals, my mouth dropped open that one of your critters ate it and I agree, at least you scanned it but the original is typically better.
I think it's perfect! You have everything you need! I always get so confused with the gianormous perfeclty quaffed craft rooms. I don't want to have to walk a 1/4 of a mile just to grab a Copic Marker or some Card Stock (maybe I'm just jealous lol) I craft in a spare bedroom too, but I use the twin bed as a table and yes, it's kind of hodge podgey and I'm okay with that! TFS!!!
Thank your husband and you and your family for his service! Love the clean simplicity of your craft room!!!
I love your spare room! ❤️ Thanks for sharing! 🌼 And thank you both for your service! 🇺🇲
The white dresser is from IKEA. I have the same in green
Awesome jealous worthy craft room. I’ve never had an entire room designated to crafting , but I craft none the less….and feel blessed to have what I have. Thanks to your husband for his service. I hope you both enjoy his retirement. Tfs
I love your craft room. You do have a great crafting room! Amazon, Ikea and Target rock. Love the table your hubby made. Oh by the way thank him for his service. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your new place
Love your craft room! Great advice too! Absolutely love your watercolors! I hang all mine up too!
wow, it's beautiful! The piece that you have in the middle is a unit for an old sewing machine. I learned to sew in one of those. Great memories
Thanks for sharing your work space & storage solutions. It wasn't Max! He would NEVER eat your original artwork.
Laurel, how refreshing to hear your latest video! I totally agree with you and also use an extra bedroom/office for my paper crafting...however, I usually end up on the kitchen island!! LOL. I am rather late to Card making, and have found a true love for the craft. I’m a Central Florida gal, and welcome you back to the South!
I think this craft room shows your personality and I love it! Beautiful! Great job Laurel. 🥰😍💛👍
Thankyou for your husband’s service and the support you and family have given him. Enjoyed the craft space tour. I now use about half of my living room. Started with what I had. Adapted the use of some things and slowly added/replaced other items as my crafting grew. Only thing consistent is the color scheme!
Best Wishes on you new step. You were missed, but understand. Hope we see you more in the future- love how you are always so practical. Take Care!!!!!
I LOVE your craft room! Thanks for sharing!
I am in total agreement about using what you have for craft supplies. You are lucky to have a designated work space in your home for creating. Congratulations on your new move, home and chapter in your life. Thank you for allowing us into home.
Your room looks excellent! I love it! Congratulations on you hubby's retirement! I'm thankful everyday for the service men and women who serve our beloved country. Best of luck.
Sweet Laurel come see my miss matched studio. That is on tgr rare occasion that it is clean and tidy.
So appreciate your husband’s service and yours as well! Families sacrifice so much. ♥️🇺🇸 And BTW, love your hair!!😍Your craft room is perfect!
