Thanks for this teaching. The Bible clearly tells us no Christmas Trees: "This is what the Lord says: “Do not learn the way of the nations, And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens, Although the nations are terrified by them; For the customs of the peoples are futile; For it is wood cut from the forest, The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. They decorate the idol with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers. So that it will not totter." - Jeremiah 10:2-4 NASB

To me, i was placing gifts under the tree “sacrificing my bills” for the smiles of my children for one day… and afterwards struggling to pay bills. I didn’t celebrate this year. And i hope to no longer celebrate. It’s lonely, especially when everyone around you celebrating and I’m not. To have to show my children and help them unlearn the reason of Christmas, was very hard this year. I hope for it to become easier as the years go on.

I appreciate finding this video, because just today my mother practically argued me down when I said I wasn't buying gifts for anyone or celebrating Christmas. I told her this last year once finding out the truth and she told me I wasn't raised that way and what did my 23 year old son say when I told him I wasn't getting him a gift this year. She was shocked when I told her he was fine with it. I even told her Jesus wasn't born on December 25th and it's a pagan holiday and she told me every reason why we should celebrate Christmas, bottom line is she walked away with an attitude and still didn't want to see it any other way. 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️

It's my parents and i's first year not celebrating Christmas/Thanksgiving/Easter/Halloween. It definitely is crazy how the majority of the rest of the world thinks that I am now crazy for not celebrating. I know in my heart that it is the right thing to not celebrate, and I definitely won't ever give in to society's standards to celebrate ever again after learning the truth of it all. The thing that I find to be funny that I worry about the most is that now, with my new beliefs, it will be harder to date when in reality I have to remind myself that God will guide me to the right man that will love and accept me for who I am and what my beliefs are.

My parents are Jehovah's Witness and Christian and growing up, i was forced to celebrate Christmas. I never really liked the holidays and prefer the comfort and peace at home. Heck im even down to hang out with my friends instead. It's always this time of the year when i feel really uncomfortable and Christmas music irritates me. I always get crappy, second hand gifts while my cousins always had something nicer. Then again, if i want something, I'll buy it myself.

I used to celebrate Christmas growing up and used to be my fav holiday. Now my fav holiday and the only holiday I like is New Years but that would be a whole different comment. For the past few years I would get yelled at and told I would ruin Christmas. When I was under 18 years old I spent half of my Christmas Day with a different family for the first time bc my own was depressing to be around. I don’t hate that family but they aren’t positive either and no one is positive around the holidays. It’s obv how stressful the holidays are. The mall is packed, more crime, traffic, arguing, etc. the holidays put me in a bad mood and I’m impressed people are the happiest at this specific time of the year. I don’t not celebrate it for religious reasons. I am atheist but I don’t not celebrate Christmas because I’m atheist/

I like the idea too. I found out the history and truth behind Christmas last year and It was so disappointing. I was big into Christmas and would always go do all the Christmas events and go see the lights, deck the halls etc but last year I was so off put I couldn’t and still can’t . I give my family gifts still bc if I didn’t they would get upset but I really think focusing more on Jesus at least for a week with prayer and fasting and doing something nice for someone else would be a lot better.

My family and I started celebrating Christmas when I was 21yrs old. My parents are missionaries who always traveled to Mexico to clothe and feed the children in poverty and they were always went with them of course. We as in my brothers and I. We never got any gifts or any fancy dinners because the money went for the children cuz of clothes, shoes, toys, school supplies, personal hygiene stuff such as soaps, shampoo, sponges, make up, perfumes and for my parents home in Mexico. once we were all in college Christmas and all of these holidays were just like any other day but without our parents. So Christmas were spend alone at home at the age of 18-21. Cuz first final semester exams, work and well stay at home during Christmas. Usually it was my older brother and I watching movies with some pizza and thanking God that no more final exams for now lol later on things got really bad when it came to traveling due to the cartels and they would always stop my parents. They got the gun pointed at them before by these cartels. They face life and death many many times. My parents prepared us every time they traveled on what to do if they don’t ever make it back due to the cartels and violence and let’s not forget the amount of witchcraft that these people do in some of these places cuz most of them depend on witchcraft. Thank God that he always brought my parents back home safely. That’s when they realized we need to start spending time together during the holidays. Specially cuz we were now separating and going our own ways such as cuz of work and college and growing up. My parents business and then there missionary work. We obviously don’t believe in Santa Claus or in the Easter bunny, Halloween and don’t get me started when it comes to thanksgiving cuz we all know the truth but for us its the fact that we are spending time together and that everyone is alive. Specially after so many crazy times spend at Mexico since I was little. I sure don’t miss taking cold showers during freezing icy days 🥶🥶 ❄️❄️❄️so more like I celebrate that during Christmas hahaha and it’s a gift from God that he allows my parents and my brothers and I to survive a lot of things and now enjoy the fruits of what we all did and continue to do. We do gift each other gifts because why shouldn’t we finally enjoy gifts after many many many years of not even buying stuff due to having to save money for clothing and feeding the children in poverty and money to travel over there was all from my parents hard work. They never asked for donations or anything. They worked. So Christmas for us is now chilling at home with some good food and spending time. Same goes with all of the other holidays.

Amen sister ❤️ Thou shalt have no other god's before me. The Lord has commanded his holy days, we are to observe in their seasons. Leviticus 23(Feast of the Lord) Including the weekly Sabbath of the Lord. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in Six days the Lord made the heaven, and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hollowed it. Exodus 20:8-11 Let Us HEAR the conclusion of the whole Matter, FEAR GOD and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS For This is the Whole Duty of MAN For God shall bring every work into Judgement with every Secret Thing whether it be GOOD or whether it be EVIL. I started celebrating the Feasts God ordained in the Bible, because they all point to the Messiah. I now believe Jesus was born during the fall Feasts because God sent the angels to proclaim and announce His birth (Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets), "and the WORD became flesh and TABERNACLED AMONG us," is the Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot. God ALREADY KNEW when His son would be born!

One single day that will cost alot of people Alot.. It comes like every other morning and and goes just like that.. People left behind in dept that not even Jesus christ would want them to be inn.. Many gifts are to people who don't even need them.. My people will perish because of luck of knowledge.. FYI, the person who invented the name Santa wasn't a fool to know that it spells Satan with the n in the middle and not at the end.

It is all about the worship of your self, selfism. It has many names throughout the days, mercury and venus, the baal and the grove, it is a representation/reminder of the fall of man at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the spirit of selfism that is exercised when we eat the fruit there of. The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life is the fruit. We every second chose to do the will of self or the will of the CREATOR. Only in HIM, through HIM are we able with the power HE gives us to die to self and be reborn in righteousness. Through HIM we are able to daily crucify the mind/will/emotions of the flesh.

I celebrate the birth of Christ. There’s nothing pagan about that. I also celebrate Jesus resurrection not Easter. Nothing pagan about that either. If you were born on Halloween would you not still celebrate your birthday? I don’t worship a Christmas 🎄 tree. I worship God. I’m very intentional about keeping Christ in Christmas. God has no problem with that. Let’s not be legalistic.

Christmas is MASSIVELY over commercialised and for what...? I don't get it. For the past few months, we have been utterly bombarded with Black Friday TV advertisements, then 'Novembermas' adverts because it seems that November is another month for companies to milk as much money out of consumers as possible. I'm sorry but Christmas is nothing like it should be. How many people are there in this world that still religiously go to church like most of our Grandparents would have? Barely any, our local church isn't even open on Sundays anymore! They would have been open every Sunday, they would have Christmas services but now this is not the case. With the newer generations, traditions are dying off and are becoming a thing of the past. I was raised with the Santa Claus thing, always getting loads of presents and I can barely remember half of the things I got lmao. My parents, every year, have stressed themselves out trying to make everything organised, spending loads of money that they just do not have and I have heard this online too that this year, people are incredibly stressed because of the lack of money after the pandemic etc. This is the first year I think that people, at least in the UK, can actually freely visit family as we are not in a lockdown. We are in a 'Cost of Living Crisis' right now with people struggling financially etc. Yet we are force fed annoying advertisements on TV to get you to spend loads of money that you just do not have. I explained that I do not want to celebrate Christmas and I just get looked at like I'm weird for breaking traditions but most of my family are Christian and know the true meaning of Christmas yet they give into this silly gift giving fad and stress themselves out which is just unnecessary and it takes the fun out of the occasion. I have tried to break the tradition but as I still live at home, it's very hard to isolate myself and not be a part of this because it would just seem weird if I'm the only one acting like a Scrooge as it were lol I won't raise my kids with this nonsense. At the end of the day, it's a religious holiday and I don't get why so many non-Christians celebrate because Atheists and Christians too do not celebrate Eid or Hanukkah so I don't get why so many people celebrate Christmas even when they don't believe in Jesus etc. Madness. I'll pass thanks. We should be allowed to do our own thing without being treated like we're weirdos for not going along with such things. If people want to celebrate, go ahead because you're not hurting me but trying to force others to get involved when they're not interested is just annoying and whilst I'm happy to spend time with my family, I'm not happy to feel like I have the obligation of buying gifts and so on when just spending time with them and having a nice meal or a day out is more than enough 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just my opinion lol If you ask most kids what Christmas is nowadays, they'd probably say it's the time when Santa Claus gives gifts and they don't know the true meaning or probably who Jesus is at all 😅 When I say that there aren't many people attending church nowadays, I'm talking about in my area at least. Not sure what it's like in the USA but I'm in the UK and in all honesty, we go past our local churches so often and they are always closed, rarely open for a wedding and so many people aren't getting married now either. Some churches have been demolished too around here and replaced with big old sky rise apartments 😅

Why believe in any ancient traditions as the truth of everything at all? Cant people just be nice and giving to each other and nature? Without crazy traditions, lies, ignorance, worship, or hurting each other physically or mentally over it? Its not that hard to do.

I celebrate the birth of Jesus. When I got older I was wondering why we were celebrating a fat white dude that has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus! Christmas comes from Christ. It's to celebrate his son! Easter is another Holiday that is the celebration of Jesus dying on the cross for EVERYONE sin! Not a rabbit or an egg. Satan is the one lying about the birth and death of Jesus Christ! Neither one of those holidays are representing Christ the right way. I will always celebrate Christmas and Easter. Just not the way I was when I was a child!
