They will need far, far, more than the 10 he asked for. ( I have the feeling he was uncomfortable asking for more.) Repairing a cleft palate requires multiple surgeries, as the child grows, and may also have other health issues, that come along with it. Some babies can feed okay, some tend to aspirate their leading to upper respiratory infections etc. . I was really encourage by how generous people have been! This is going to be a long haul for them and their daughter but the good news is, with the surgeries available now; you usually can't tell that they were ever born with anything wrong at all. I will be donating prayers and good thoughts for their family and hope to give more when I can!

I'll never understand why and how insurance companies can deny any kind of treatment for infants and children.. Although I can't afford to donate any money i will definitely share this video so their story can possibly reach more ears. Also the family will be in my prayers, that lil baby deserves to get the medical attention that she needs.😢🙏🏻❤

Well you see it is in the insurance company's interests to minimise the amount of money they pay out as much as possible, this is why insurance companies deny payments or at least drag their feat as long as they can. Unfortunately in countries that have a privatised """healthcare system""" your insurance company, who don't want to pay what is due to you, are the only thing that decides whether medical expenses will plunge you into crippling debt or not, and also your insurance company does a shitton of lobbying to keep it that way. Of course these same insurance companies are also run by actual demons in human skin that hate all life and want blood, but that is a given for all major corporations and the system of capitalism intrinsically encourages and rewards this behaviour. So in conclusion, all of this is ultimately the fault of capitalism and Marx was right.

I was the bar/cafe manager at our local community theatre. It was built in 1931 and still has the old style marque. It has a very high beautiful ceiling in the auditorium area. There were tales of two specific ghosts ...one being a woman in a white dress. For some reason she supposedly like to walk out of walls and down the least used of the two stairways. I worked there as bar manager and office manager which both led to multiple other volunteer tasks and jobs. We had concerts and of course the Theatre President had trusted me after so many years that I had a totally full set of theatre keys. He would leave before events ended (he would be there all day for multiple days) I sometimes had another person with me and other times not. So after musical instruments vents I would be there until 3 a.m. due to there being multiple bands that had to pack up and get paid. I never personally seen anything but during a couple events the atmosphere felt heavy and volunteers not their usual cheerful selves and random power would go out. We were up to code. No breakers tripped. We were scrambling to fix it and it would just turn back on without assistance. There were a few days that I'd have to be there completely alone to get alcohol ordered and cafe supply list and I'd have the overwhelming tired feeling. No matter what happened or what you did.....you wanted to go to sleep. I napped a few times without actually wanting to. I know others experienced the same. The 2nd floor was the Green room, office and balcony entrance. Green Room had its moments of feeling odd. I hated balcony. There was a 3rd floor with props and roof access and not only was it a pain to climb all those steps it was the scariest part. There was an ild bathroom that hadnt been updated like the four others in the building. I'd come in and decor moved (which I know people could have done and lied about). Like I said I never seen anything short of shadows. Our ghost light made things creepier.

Ohh my. The night shift story of the security guard has officially ruined my sleep. One of the scariest stories I've ever heard.

My baby boy was born with Down Syndrome. He doesn't qualify for any benefits because our one income is more than allowed. We make around what Novas family probably makes. It's a struggle. The assumption is babies born with special needs get all this help like disability, insurance, etc. Wrong you still have to fall in their super tiny income threshold. I already knew this prior so I didn't expect it but most people think when they hear down syndrome I'm getting some magical check. Nope..far from it. Anyway, hope Nova gets her surgery soon.

I’m so sorry… I don’t understand why you’re son doesn’t qualify for Federal Disability? I know other’s in similar situations who receive Disability for their children. My nieces daughter was born with a life long disability and received disability. At first she was denied and then appealed the decision and was awarded disability after she fought it. Maybe you should appeal the denial you received and find free legal advice… it’s worth looking into and try fighting it. I’ll be praying for you because this doesn’t sound right to me. I'm so sorry to read about ur situation and all these other ones as well? If u lived in NY there's a place called Empire Justice that helps ppl who've been denied? They helped me so much and I found out that government programs deny a lot of ppl unless u have some legal help, someone who knows what they can and can't deny u for, and who knows all their little secrets? Please don't stop fighting for the money ur baby deserves because I believe someone could probably help u? I have an autistic son and they gave him SSD right away, and my caseworker at his Special Needs school had said that the government sets aside money for SN children. A child with Down Syndrome is usually awarded benefits right away so please don't stop fighting sweetheart, and u might have a place that helps like Empire Justice where u live? I bet ur little boy is so adorable and IMO, children with DS always are? I've worked with a lot of children who have it and they love me because I don't treat with anything but love and care, in my heart Special Needs human beings are angels that were put on earth to make it more beautiful?

All those ads on YT about extra money for food for those on Social Security are only for those below the poverty level. I tried and was denied because my $500 a month pension puts me over the poverty level. Darn. I feel so special.

No socialized medicine is garbage, I’m glad you’re happy with it though. And I’ve read the stories of people in the UK (including babies being denied desired treatments because the government thinks they’re futile and the parents then must watch their baby die) The NHS has the power to go against patients wishes since the taxpayers hand over gobs of their money so the government can take care of them, the government is authorized to make decisions for them and the patient gets no say. Socialized medicine is inferior, doctors aren’t able to earn what they can in the US either.

I think people need to stop buying insurance all together, there will be some short term pain but once the system is destroyed, we can make a system that actually works.

The sad part about go fund me being successful is insurance companies don't have any stress on them since the common man steps up. A beautiful but sad thing.
