    I was also thinking about the 444 for my Bobber but ended up paying more and got the Nitron R1 and it's a WHOLE different world. Now I don't have to watch out for every single pothole or bump or whatever else. I also ride 2 up every once in a while and with minor adjusting also my wife has a blast :) Great video dude, as always!

    Did you use the same setting between bolts on the 444's that you had on your oem shocks from your preload video?

  • @Jimbobbington

    @Jimbobbington

    2 жыл бұрын

    I did not. The 444s are 1/2" longer than stock. I just started with zero preload and dialed it up as necessary. I'm at about 2.5 full turns on the 444s right now, so still on the very light pre load side

    In my mind the extra 1/2" can only add improvement to the suspension feel and performance, but doesn't make a huge difference visually.

    Hi from Australia, can I ask what put you off the Indian Fox shocks?

  • @Jimbobbington

    @Jimbobbington

    2 жыл бұрын

    The Fox Shocks are fine, I just think they are overpriced for their middle of the road capability. I also do not like the contrast cut style of them with the black and the aluminum. If you have some credits or vouchers for discount on OEM parts, they may be a great decision, but my research into the 444s leads me to believe they are a superior product for less money.

    I put Ikon shocks made in Albury Wodonga. Told the guy my weight and that I wanted 3 inches of travel. So 75mm vs. stock 50mm. Ikon has 4 position rebound adjustments. I ordered black body and black springs. Out of the box with no adjustments, they work way better than stock. Cost was $1000.

    any recommendation for a 165lb rider? In other video you mentioned 444 might do nothing for a lighter rider.

  • @Jimbobbington

    @Jimbobbington

    2 жыл бұрын

    I would probably suggest the Progressive 413s. They are the cheapest option out there, but still that Progressive quality. The springs aren't as beefy as the 444s, so I would think they would offer better movement for a light rider such as yourself. ANYTHING will be better than OEM regardless of your weight, but the 413s are good and cheap.
