Happy birthday dude. Knew you would love the 444s. It was one of the biggest impact changes I made to the bike in regards to rideability.

Thanks dude! Yeah they are pretty great. No complaints here! Loved how they felt coming down Pikes Peak
Dude you bike sounds absolutely awesome. Probably even better in real life 👍🏻

Haha I really appreciate that! It took me MONTHS to pick this exhaust and it's everything I wanted, but does reduce right lean angle. Still worth it for me.
I was also thinking about the 444 for my Bobber but ended up paying more and got the Nitron R1 and it's a WHOLE different world. Now I don't have to watch out for every single pothole or bump or whatever else. I also ride 2 up every once in a while and with minor adjusting also my wife has a blast :) Great video dude, as always!

Like I said Nitron was one of my first choices! I just ended up thinking they were too much for my needs and not worth the extra $
Great vid. That’s a LOUD bike.

Did you use the same setting between bolts on the 444's that you had on your oem shocks from your preload video?
@Jimbobbington
2 жыл бұрын
I did not. The 444s are 1/2" longer than stock. I just started with zero preload and dialed it up as necessary. I'm at about 2.5 full turns on the 444s right now, so still on the very light pre load side
Love the shock vid.but what is that exhaust. Have a 22 rogue on order.

Thank you! This is the Hacker Mayhem exhaust.
What made you choose the 11.5'' over 11''? Sorry if you addressed this and I missed it.
@Jimbobbington

In my mind the extra 1/2" can only add improvement to the suspension feel and performance, but doesn't make a huge difference visually.

Did the 11.5 inch raise you back fender noticeably?
@Jimbobbington

I took before and after comparisons and it was a negligible difference.
Such a nice road. What area of country are you driving in? I'm in Florida. It's dangerous to drive here - a lot of elderly and young agressive kids driving.

Hi from Australia, can I ask what put you off the Indian Fox shocks?
@Jimbobbington
2 жыл бұрын
The Fox Shocks are fine, I just think they are overpriced for their middle of the road capability. I also do not like the contrast cut style of them with the black and the aluminum. If you have some credits or vouchers for discount on OEM parts, they may be a great decision, but my research into the 444s leads me to believe they are a superior product for less money.

@@Jimbobbington I believe you're right and I don't know if it makes a difference but the 444s have 12 coils vs the Fox's 9.

@@marcmiller2218 I always try to get the most bang for my buck, and for me, the 444s were the sweet spot.

I put Ikon shocks made in Albury Wodonga. Told the guy my weight and that I wanted 3 inches of travel. So 75mm vs. stock 50mm. Ikon has 4 position rebound adjustments. I ordered black body and black springs. Out of the box with no adjustments, they work way better than stock. Cost was $1000.

@@Bernardclement1955I bought Ikons for my 2022 Indian Scout. It was an improvement for me too.
price is close to the Indian piggy back's, do you think these are a better choice?
@Jimbobbington
Жыл бұрын
The Indian piggy backs I've heard are 12" long and will really lift the back fender quite a bit
any recommendation for a 165lb rider? In other video you mentioned 444 might do nothing for a lighter rider.
@Jimbobbington
2 жыл бұрын
I would probably suggest the Progressive 413s. They are the cheapest option out there, but still that Progressive quality. The springs aren't as beefy as the 444s, so I would think they would offer better movement for a light rider such as yourself. ANYTHING will be better than OEM regardless of your weight, but the 413s are good and cheap.

@@Jimbobbington you were impressed with adjusted stock shocks with 3 threads left. Not good enough?
@Jimbobbington

@@Gragon yeah I mean it was better, abs about a good as it ever got for the stock shocks, but that's not saying a whole lot compared to an aftermarket shock
New mic sounds better but it also picks up more of your exhaust. Also sounds good but your voice over could use a little volume boost when you edit.
@Jimbobbington

Yeah I've been playing with it to try to lower the volume of the exhaust with filters. Hopefully my next one is a little bit better

Standard or heavy duty?

I used standard. Heavy Duty is suggested for people who exceed 250 lbs combined rider/passenger/gear weight over 50% of the time.
