Your reasons are valid, But I’ll suggest you go back to the drawing board, Buying assets to create +ve cashflow is good, but the fear being a landlord in your primary residence you’ll encounter some of it in your investment property Secondly, you have to be smarter than the system, think in equity You and your brother can jointly buy in the gta and maybe add extra 700 to you individually pay in rent , it’s and asset too and that way you don’t throwaway money. Property appreciation: you can sell your half and recover all that you’ve paid in rental
