The shot also reminded me of Adrian from B&J, when he did the same sort of shot with his Rolex Kermit, but the waves washed it away, to the point he thought he’d lost it only to find it metres away from the shoot location lying face down in the sand. Talk about a heart in the mouth moment!

Once again a great video, really like the jump up in production too. For me the strap lets it down. Other than that it’s very cool. I think I prefer the carbon 300 with lume dial but it’s quite a bit more money and not as capable. I think on a single pass ribbed nato the 600T would look awesome. My holiday watch is probably my SPB143 as it’s my “beater” and can dress up or down depending on strap choice. Plus it’s not valuable which is always nice when in unknown locations

Interesting review! I went with the Searambler (with the frosted steel bezel) on the metal bracelet and it fits my small wrist quite well. Yes, it is heavy & thick, but not a lot of play/movement while on my wrist. My only criticism re the bracelet is that there is no tapering on the bracelet (20mm all across). Also, the bezel is too thin, and out of proportion with the rest of the watch head, in my opinion. I went with the Searambler (& steel bezel) because it's one variations that is the closest to the (quartz version of the) 1980s original.

It does look stunning in all white, be a great holiday watch!

I spit out my coffee when the video changed to us the music.... My head is under water. Love it!

I really liked the white ceramic bezel but my AD wasn't able to get it soon enough and I wanted the watch before my holiday/vacation

Been a huge fan of the brand for a few years but never had the balls to take the plunge ( apologies). When you showed it I honestly thought " that's the one!!", but I think I would suffer the same problems as you as I too have been cruelly afflicted with girly wrists. I still maintain they offer great value with genuine heritage, be interesting to see if you keep it or it's sacrificed for a new model from the T brand. Great vid as always bud

I looked at the Sub 200 and tried it on. It definitely wears better on a smaller wrist than the Sub 600 but the looks didn't speak to me as much. The Sub 300T was the perfect balance - wears beautifully and has the quirky looks I like, but it was out of budget. Plus I would've really wanted the carbon one and that's even more out of budget!!

Hey Simon. Great vid. I have the Doxa 300 White Pearl on my list but will certainly try one on first as its still pretty chunky. Did you look at the Zodiac SeaWolf range? Some colourful and competent options that I think meet your vacation watch criteria?

I got a doxa sub 200. It wears surprisingly well for a 42 mm watch and still has the doxa dna at a great price.

Yeah I tried the 200 before buying the 600. I loved how it wears and it's probably the one I should've bought in hindsight, but I preferred the more quirky aesthetic of the 300 and 600.

Got my girlfriend the Doxa sub 200 and she loves it! Have to say the build quality and the strap were very impressive. On holiday I would love to take my Sinn u50 mop on rubber.

Mine wrist is just over 6.25", so pretty small. I'd say that if you have a 6.75" wrist or above the watch should wear OK, as long as you accept that it's going to always be a bit top heavy due to the weight of the case.

I own the Omega Planet Ocean 600 all white 🤩

this is the 1st Doxa I like due to the white colour. The orange, yellow and blue variants haven't done it for me. I love the thick black power coated hands, and the pearl white raised indices. And as you, I really like the sand blasted bezel against the case. My only negative is that the strap looks way too thick, They should have made it 1 -1.5mm thinner and I think its a reason it will not fit great around the wrist. I've just purchased a 2nd hand Pelagos LHD so this will be the watch for my next holiday.

I came close to picking up a Pelagos LHD last year but it was just a fraction too big (or at least it would've been ideal if the lug-to-lug measurement was 2mm less). Love the design though with those creamy indices and the roulette date wheel 👌

Doxa are a great brand.

i just saw this video and it reminded me of my own watch collecting. i fixate on a watch for so long and when i finally get it i am underwhelmed and sell it

Sounds familiar!! I've done that a few times. I also find myself adding lots of inexpensive watches to the collection because they're so accessible, only to see something of a higher value some time later that I really want but haven't got the funds for 🙈

Definitely a summer or white winter watch....for every season, maybe not the best. For me, the case design and strap would make it too bulky. My first doxa would be the new Army 👌

It's definitely bulky, no doubt! Personally the design of dial of the Army is a bit busy for my tastes but that Sub 300 case wears so well.

Also wanted the 600t. Saw it in person and it was way to thick, didnt like that 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks for the video! I am desperate to buy this watch, but am concerned that my wrists aren't big enough to take it. What size wrists do you have? I thought it actually looked very good on you, sorry to hear it wasn't comfortable though.

My wrists are tiny - 6.25" 🙈 I've been wearing it recently for shorter periods and haven't had any issues with comfort, so on that basis I may end up keeping it. I'd definitely recommend trying one on. Let me know when you have and what you decide to do!

The watch will probably be OK for me, based on wrist size, I'm just not used to wearing "big" watches - I have a Submariner and I find that big and clunky at times, although I'm gradually getting accustomed to it. I have about four windows open with various colour combinations of the Doxa in various stages of the buying process, haven't pulled the trigger yet but desperately want to! Have just bought tickets for the F1 at the weekend, though, which makes the Man Maths a bit harder to justify. Decisions, decisions...

@@Escapement24 Great news! I'm in Dubai this week and stumbled across a watch shop that's selling Doxa, and had a 600T White pearl to try! It's a really lovely watch, and a perfect size for my wrist. Sadly they only had it on stainless steel instead of rubber, but I'll definitely be ordering once finances have recovered 😁 And yes, Singapore GP...got utterly soaked 😐

Glad you got the chance to try on the Doxa and that you like it 👍 I also much prefer it on the rubber strap rather than the SS bracelet. I got mine from Watches of Switzerland and they were offering 0% finance over up to 4 years and next day delivery. I don't give financial advice but for me it was a no brainer. I paid a 30% deposit and paid off the balance about 6 weeks later. I haven't been to the Singapore GP but it's one of the few that are on my bucket list, along with Monaco and Las Vegas, which I think will be awesome! I've only been to the Barcelona and Abu Dhabi GPs, and tbh I think a lot of the races are best watched on TV, but the circuits I want to go to are the ones that create more of a spectacle with the night races etc.

I love the look of the watch as an object, but I fear it would be too big and heavy for me.

I’ve def had buyers remorse before early on in my collection but you bought the 600T and your debating wether you will keep it or not ? 🤔🤔🤔 Did you not try it on before ? I just don’t understand the logic

And as for trying it on....yes I did but sometimes a few mins in an AD isn't enough. I probably had some reservations at the time but you know when you just really want something to work?!

The BB Pro is one of my favourites.

I think my Doxa sub300 professional is the best all around watch in my opinion. Every morning it is the first watch I reach out to especially during the summer time.
