Why I bought the 2021 Honda NC 750x DCT

I try to explain why I went with the NC570xDCT. After making I thought of a bunch of other stuff I should have said too, but oh well. It's a great bike and I'm loving it!

Out of all the reviews I have seen, you have shown me what I need to see. The 60 to 70+ range of the bike looks like it handles those speeds cleanly and smoothly. Great video, relatable since I live close to where you are well kind of close one state over.

Enjoyed your ride out….saying it as it is….hehe….I bought my 2023 DCT version in January, I am returning to riding after 41 years….I was 19 when a drunk driver almost finished me off….bike sadly did not survive….anyway, going to get some refresher lessons on a smaller bike..been out doing slow riding….yet to really get out, but I will…..I love my bike, it meets all my needs…..I am a fair weather rider simple as that…cheers for your time, enjoyed your video, I live on the small island of Jersey just off the north coast of France…..just now…..very chilly…..not ideal riding weather…cheers..stay safe…and I love your enthusiasm about history of Georgia for you young students….brilliant teaching…

Fuel consumption is incredible, it barely sips fuel. On a recent long trip the computer was showing an average of 91.1mpg. Mine is manual, but I've tried the DCT on an Africa Twin Adventure Sports and would happily swap my manual for DCT when the time to change comes. Honda have done a great job with the DCT technology, works so well.

I think you made a sensible purchase. I bought my first motorcycle at the end of last August, a used CB500X. Loved it. Put about 2000 miles on it before winter put an end to riding. My only dislike was the amount of shifting required while urban riding. I'd be 3rd before leaving an intersection if I wanted to avoid redlining it. I also thought the rpms above 60 mph were higher than I liked. Was going to a 16 tooth front sprocket if i was going to keep the bike. After spending hours online, I decided that the NC750X DCT ticked all my boxes at an acceptable price. Took delivery recently and am now waiting for weather and roads to make it doable to ride again. Wondering if there are any videos on if people have played around with "shift up" and "width" rpms, and what user traction control settings people have adopted. Looking forward to fine tuning it. If you find cold hands to be a continuing issue, heated grips will solve that easily. I found the Oxford grips really work well on my CB500X. I'm envious of your riding seasons.

Good info. I'm shocked this super low revving/low HP power plant creates a lot of heat. Also, flame out seems common on Honda's, we increased the idle by about 200rpm and it solved the problem for us (on our 450L's)

I'm dorky but like sporty thing. so I plan on dyno tuning it with a high flow air filter and full exhaust. When I first saw the NC 750 I was not impressed, but overtime I am growing to like it and may buy one. The NC750 is inexpensive, easy to ride and can do almost everything (on road, touring and not extreme off road). It seems to be a motorcycle for real riders who are not concerned about going fast in a straight line. I am not sure if I want DCT or manual. I am old school and love the clutch. I have to try the DCT. Thanks for the review. Thanks for the video.

I am in the same boat right now. Versys 650, Vstrom 650, CB500X, NC750X..... the new 490 Adventure from KTM looks like it will be interesting as well but it seems at this rate they won't even launch the bike till end of year. That all being said, a used Versys/Vstrom will be around 4-6k while a new NC750X manual is around $8k here. It's a bargain for a new bike. I'd definitely go for a late stock 2021 like you did. If this bike had cruise control standard it would be a slam dunk purchase over the other bikes... I don't know why Honda just couldn't add that being throttle by wire already.

I definitely think this would be a good beginner bike. If you have the money, NC750x DCT is the best second bike you can ever wanted. The best commuter. But and a big BUT, if you want real feeling of power or something like that, NC lacks a lot. She will never let you down on all but off roads. She got plenty of power to run legal speeds on most contries. The problem is she is that. Is like a big 250cc bike. If you want a real good travelling bike there is plenty of better options for same or less money. And for more also off course. @@toekneegreen37 What you say about off road ? My main concern is about the low trail the bike have. For me this bike could be like a g 650 gs, 110 19 and 150 17 tyres a litle more trail would be perfect. I really like the nc i had one 2016 but this new one is even lower than that and with less suspension travel. That worries me a lot.

Sorry, but this is just a very practical example for heavy wind noise, higher windshield recommended.

2022 is a little lighter, a little more power, better display, bigger frunk, and shorter seat height. Should come with heated grips, usb, and centre stand. Seems like a great bike, just don't like the looks.

According to the manual it'll hit 125, but I'd be surprised if it actually will, I haven't done a top speed run yet.

Hi when I look at the Honda nc750 it reminds me of the queen face in aliens.when you have the black wind extender. So it should be called alien nc750.

Why do you think it's a good idea to make this video while you ride the bike, it's too noisy, we cannot hear you nor understand you. Make the video sitting next to the bike.

Try purple panda mic... also it depands on your helmet and where you installed mic, maybe you play with different mic position first. Just an advice I'm not vloger I do my videos but only for myself and family. Wish you all best nice bike great to do everything, I have x adv love it, since I got it I'm not touching my other bikes... Is so funny that is only 55 bhp but for the legal speeds is just right and very economical, great for touring!
