Why hydropower is destroying Albania

After our Vjosa trip we stopped by at the Valbona in Northern Albania. It's like the river is made for whitewater paddling with its source in the Albanien alps. But hydropower plants were build and are threatening the water supply now.

Good News: The Albanien high court decided that the operation of two hydropower plants in Valbona must stop. Cathrine Bohne said: "The battle is far from over. After all, once we win, the hydropower plants can easily be removed, returning the natural function of the river.” exit.al/en/2021/11/10/genr2-dragobia-energy-hpps-stop-operating-in-valbona-following-lengthy-court-case/

Saubere Arbeit. Sehr gutes Video.

Nice an American lecturing Albanians on 'saving the environment.' Now we can import more coal power from Greece, Kosovo, and North Macedonia. That natural gas plant in Vlore is really gonna help save the environment too
