What's weird is that I cannot bring myself to stan this group. I was deeply disappointed by runext for the reasons you listed. This is not my first survival show and I am not the kind of person that holds grudges just bc "my fave didn't get picked". The thing that made runext different was the outmost disrespect I felt as a fan after being shamelessly lied to by the system. I hated every single moment of that show: the trainees were so drained and hopeless it made me cry, the judges were giving false and biased feedback after the stages, the live audience didn't vote fairly and the evil editing was just awful. This survival show scarred me to say the least. With this state of mind, even if Yunah, Minju and Youngseo debuted, I physically cannot be happy. I keep thinking about the girls that were unfairly left out, about how they felt at that moment. For this reason, i do hold a grudge. Not against the girls, obviously, but the show. I want them to suffer from these poor decisions they made, so I won't be a fan of their "ending product". I want to specify that never in my life I'm going to hate on this group because it is not their fault. What I'm going to do is what they did to me, as international fan: they ignored my existence, so I'm going to ignore the group. Also, only when I see the other girls debut I'm going to stop thinking about how they were robbed, so they better do it soon bc I can't wait.

The people who rescue Jiwoo, chanelle, jimin and jeongeun and debut them, they will be a high level group for sureeeeeeee. They will be unstopabble. Much better group than the one who made trough the show

Although Yunah and Yeongseo won, I still can't be happy for her. She deserves to debut with those more skilled, talented and prepared trainees they wasted. I felt like they just wasted our time especially on voting.

Ruka was sharp, but she's 5'0" on a 5'7" show. That's what 'lack of stage presence' and 'you're good, but I want to see more' really mean. I thought Chanelle would make it, being as good as she is, and American, given Hybe's interest in American success, but I guess they're not quite ready for that. I really liked Jiwoo, but she got trapped behind Yunah in the leader lane. I thought Chanelle and Jiwoo had some good vocal chemistry, and should work on something together in the future.

3 out of 4 of my main bets debuted, even when they eliminated Chanelle (my 5th bet), i would have been happy. But when they picked looks over Jiwoo's vocals & longer training period...wth?!! Betting they're going to put that domestic fave as the center. One thing i learned from i-land was that, centers are the strongest when it comes to singing, dancing & stage presence. That's why the trainees wanted to be in the groups with Heeseung & K. For this new gg...well good luck to them.

its been months and my family still mourns the loss of chanelle, jiwoo, chanelle, jihyun, jongeun, and jeemin. (For those who don't know, channelle is very unlikely to be a kpop idol at all anymore is speculated to have quit being a trainee)

one of the worst survival show to exist and the most useless one, they failed everyone from the start, they only pushed forward their already-label-picked trainees, the judge/viewers voting ratio was so unfair, some of the most popular and talented trainees were kicked out, making this whole show a complete waste of time for everyone -- viewers and trainees, all the girls deserved better

Honestly, I'm more intrigued to see who might join tripleS. It's been hard to feel motivated to keep up with any survival show lately b/c of what feels like an overabundance. Boys Planet ended in April, Queendom Puzzle and R U Next? started broadcasting in June, A2K and NCT Universe : LAStart premiered in July, The Debut: Dream Academy started promoting before HYBE even finished R U Next's finale, not to mention the building buzz for Universe Ticket coming up in November. Add in the fact how mismanaged the girl groups tend to be out of survival shows (e.g. Kep1er, CLASS:y), it doesn't inspire much confidence in these shows right now. tripleS has two former contestants from My Teenage Girl, three former contestants from Girls Planet 999, a former member of Busters, and another member who'd already sang for an OST prior to joining MODHAUS. I don't think it'd be too surprising to see a former contestant on R U Next? get introduced as the next member of tripleS, probably once their latest unit, EVOLution makes their debut early to mid-October.

This is the only survival show I’ve seen with so much favoritism

I've been thinking this after the final line up was announced but it would've been a smarter move if they didn't do the survival show at all and just debuted this line up because 1.Most would probably be excited and 2. No one would've known what could've been, like if I didn't know of Jiwoo and Chanelle. This line up would've been fine with me. And if they were just gonna go based on visuals there was no point in the show in the first place. Not only that but also because of this show a fricking 16 year old is facing major hate and even death threats from people when she also looked surprised when they called her name. I just hope Wonhee is strong cause even though this final line up is bad in my opinion there is no reason to go bashing her when she had no control of the public voting for her.

I’m so annoyed with the ending of the show because hype knows that wonhee would get hate for making it into the group. I wish from the get go the made it apparent that the judges had the power to choose the line up

A week and a day is crazy

I'm okay with the lineup if himena replaced wonhee. Girlie has way more experience than someone who blanks out on-stage.

the worst survival show i've ever watched

I was really rooting for jeongeun and himena

I just started this show and debating if I want to continue with it, I liked Jiwoo from episode 1 and knowing she doesn't debut stresses me out.

Unless we are talking about the survival shows involving Kpop veterans, these shows that select untrained talents are doing Kpop and fans injustice by debuting them immediately as rookies without the long training that typical rookies must go through before they are ready to debut as well-prepared rookies, especially when the selected members are non-Koreans who lack the knowledge of Korean language, culture and customs.

I didn't even watch the show after hearing how bad it was but just from the stuff I've seen. I could tell that Wonhee was just a fan favorite among koreans. Honestly, it's sad and frustrating to see talented participants being eliminated. Although I like Ill-lit's debut and songs, I dont think they will ever be a group I will actually put in the effort to stan.

HYBE has vocally strong trainees with talents but chose the ones visually fit to Wonhee. It has been decided to day 1. What's the point of making show, tho? The agency has a chance to debut a strong girl group but chose to debut a bunch of sanrio characters that sing childhood songs.

If I fans have no say then make them promote only in korea. This show was utter bs. They made people vote and then said only 2 contestant. And presently how strong ggs are it would be difficult for them to strive.

after watching the whole surviving show and seeing the results at the end which were obviously unsatisfactory with talented members kicked out and underage member in the debut lineup was dissapointing they will seriously suffer after eliminating chanelle and not making jiwoo or jeemin debut

I liked chanel and tot she would debut but changed my mind when she showed a crack in her willingness to conform this little thing can cos huge issues in a group in the long run. Jeemin always seemed to lack charisma i only noticed her cos pole kept saying jeemin is good. Jiwoo has awesone visuals and vocals but theres nothing more she seems more suited for SM . Hybe artist need to be able to unfold more as time goes by and each final mber had that quality. I knew jeongun wont debut

Of course all these survival shows are rigged to debut the girls that the company wants. The TV show just helps build the fanbase b4 they debut. I think everyone watching these type shows know its all BS, we just keep watching for the entertainment.

Firstly I was so disappointed with the final lineup, but as the day goes by and reapeting all performances, I came to the conclusion that this lineup is almost perfect and firt the concept of the survival show and HYBE itself. First we have Yunah, who was the trainee with the longest period of training among all of the girls, she deserves her spot in the lineup, because of her talent also, she can dance, sing, rap - absolutely an all-rounder and also have a leadership skills. Next is Youngseo - she shows that she is a real ACE in every performance. Then Minju was one of the best vocalist of the show and plus she shows that she can rap also, the fact she is a former YG trainee adds more positive things and she is a real visual queen, all can agree that she deserves to debut. Next are Iroha and Moka, the best Japanese trainees in the show (my opinion), Iroha - one of the best dancers in the show, Moka - with her charm and talent she deserves to be in the group. Lastly Wonhee, at the begining she gave me mixed reactions if she is ready to debut or not, but she was the one who grew up the most in the show, with every singele performance she was better and better and really proves to be part of the group. And yeah the name is though, but it could be more worse than that, I'LL-IT have a full package of all-rounders, entertainers, charming and talented girls - the best lineup that HYBE needs and these I thought that HYBE doesn't debut groups with a specific positions in it. All of the groups are all rounders (they can sing, rap and dance).

I won’t support them but I wish the girls success with those who will.

Lineup whise: before watching the announcement I made a list of what I thought they were gonna be(/who I wanted), I somehow guessed 5/6, the only spot I didn’t guess I wasn’t sure about it either and was in fact a filler vote/prediction, I have no idea how I guessed Moka right- I couldn’t believe it when she was announced As for the name: I don’t like it, but I think there could’ve been hope, right now I’ll-it looks a bit overcrowded, maybe something softer like illit could’ve been cuter(?) No idea, the thing is, decent idea, bad execution.

So trainees are not perfect beings Evil editing could just be trainees real actions. Also hybe likes talent over sentiment and wont be swayed by fans votes or opinion i trust hybe decision the final mbers are well deserved to debut. Skills potential and popularity are vital. I understand why jiwoo and chanel werent picked. Hybe artist dont quit their groups cos they were picked looking at the bigger pictures. Wonhee is talented she is ready to debut she is my least fav but i see why she was picked. Jimin lacked that eye catching quality. Show wasn't rigged.

Wonhee is no where near ready. She lacks in skills and talent purely because of the lack of training. Most of the final line up do. For a company who focuses on skill the lineup makes no sense.

I was a big Chanelle fan but up to this point I do get why she might have been kicked out of the show. And part of it was the extreme stress she had gotten overtime. her performance on eleven was not the best she could offer. But again I wish her all luck and a debut whenever she' s ready.

Wasn't the best but it certainly wasn't bad. In fact I'd say she was good. The judge said she went off key but she sounded perfect??? She even sounded like the original. Something is sketchy about the judging om that performance

Wonhee really improved over the show. And despite the stressful atmosphere of the show one could also see she kept it cool and positive. Despite being that young. I do not know why people don't see that.

you forgot the part where chanelle shot herself in the foot in Ep. 7 and again youngseo is 17 lolz. it's just that her talent was superb that haters couldn't even use the "underage" card on her to their advantage. 😂 plus the flak wouldn't have been huge if Hybe had been upfront with their 70 to 30 voting ratio and that they will have 4 label picks. if based on votes jeongeun and jeemin should have been in the final line up, but that would mean replacing yunah and moka which were place 7th & 8th respectively. 😊

Look, I like one of the songs metallic, but I hate that Wooi debuted because no offense to her or anything here but I feel like if you’re gonna have a girl group debut, or boy group or even a soloist you should make sure they can dance and no tips and tricks on how to dance so then they know how they’re doing it whether they’re trying for a week or 5 years.

They said from the beginning that 2 girls would solo be picked by Korea fans . And the rest would be picked by international fan votes and judges. Their is nothing wrong with the show or lineup. One girl is a ex yg trainee, one is a ex sm trainee and one is a ex jyp trainee . They all trainee for a long time. They deserve to win.
