    I lost my mind as a kid because my bedroom was right next to were my neighbors kept their pack of huskies out all night barking and howling. Could never sleep and literally starting developing anxiety and anger issues. People need to be more considerate and keep their noisy dogs inside

    Hyperactive sled/working dogs. My Husky constantly searched for cats, theyre so similar to Sables. The best exercise he always got was running in front and pulling me along on my push bike. Id recommend it but only with a quality harness and safe course. It is all go-go-go for them and the verbal communication is 100% a part of their work ethic.

Huskies like being up high 3 of mine do,all i have to do is look up if i cant find them and every morning when i go out to see them i get "hello" in my ear until i reply. Train them from the start and they are brilliant dogs,they dont like being alone as they are pack animals. If you seriously want to get a husky PLEASE do your research into the breed.

    It really bothers me to see see doggies with choker collars or not trained and people think it is so funny. Huskies are so intelligent, can be trained with ongoing humorous videos. BTW all doggies can be trained if the person knows what they are doing. If you want to learn how to train doggies , even one’s that people give up on, visit Doggie Day Care Farm, Australia (not related - subscriber). Just a suggestion. Thanks.

    This is a misconception from people who do not know how to use prong collars. While they are really only used for walks, Prong collars do less damage as they distribute the pressure increased from leash pulling around the neck evenly. The prongs themselves are not sharp but are rounded. There is normally an amount of slack between the prongs and the dogs neck so the dog will never pull harder than is necessary as they wont willingly pull past the point of uncomfortability. For bad leash pullers, normal collars can center the pulling pressure onto a single focal point on their trachea which can cause damage to the organ and constrict breathing. Which is why sometimes in the worst cases of leash pulling you can hear the dog wheezing or coughing with strangely no “choke collar” present! Prong collars protect big dogs and their owners. Do the research.

  • @jimmynoosetron6518

    @jimmynoosetron6518

    Жыл бұрын

    @@nancyvandermeer4480 Yes, just as you would never adjust the length of a normal collar to be such that it harms the dog, prong collars are no different. If you know what you are doing and do not use them like normal collars, they are an effective and safe tool. They would be banned otherwise.

    Apparently they are some of the most surrendered and abandoned dog breeds. Makes sense to me. I have a full blood husky I was definitely not prepared for. My rescue before him was a husky mix so I thought I knew enough. NOOOPE. That first 6 months was absolute hell. Wouldn't wish potty training a husky on my worst enemy. (Well, maybe on my WORST enemy, sure.) And he chewed everything. Everything everything. It didn't matter how much time he had every day doing zoomies in the yard. It didn't matter how many toys I bought him that he loved. It didn't matter how much attention I gave him. He destroyed everything as soon as I left the room. I had to tie his leash to the doorknob of my bedroom so he couldn't reach things to destroy while I was in the bathroom or kitchen momentarily. Oh he also chewed my arm. Every chance he got. That took him months and months to stop doing. He'll still try to do it when he gets excited, but he isn't attempting to skin me alive like he used to all day every day. Huskies are hard. They is cute. But they is particular and needy and stubborn and sassy and difficult and hyper and strong and ridiculous.

    @@kimkat17 I have had a Siberian Husky since he was a puppy. He was housebroken in under a week. I just took him out constantly and knew to bring him out pronto after playing. There was no sleeping through the night for me for about a month, due to small puppy bladder and energy. Potty bells after that let me know whenever he wanted out. He did chew a few things as a pup, but no more than any other puppy. He's 3 now, and pretty damn chill. 🤷‍♀️

    We didn’t know the breed when we adopted our Australian cattle dog. Luckily he was not a nipper(they are known for being bitey)and felt my kids were baby cows to take care of. When we had smaller yard he would freak the neighbors out by hopping to the top of the 8ft fence to say Hi. When we bought a new house we bought one with a huge yard for him. Cattle dogs like Kelpies look like a good size dog but people don’t realize they need a ton of room and a job. Cattle dogs also are nippy(our new one is nipping but lazy so he is the opposite of our old dog)so they get tossed a bunch. People really need to be aware when they buy working breeds because they are the right size or adorable/popular that they aren’t necessarily house pets. In our case it was ignorance with that first cattle dog and had no clue what he was until I did the DNA test on him but we were lucky we had baby cows for him to watch and no joke that dog did more childcare than my spouse. The old cattle dog made it past 21 so the kids were big by the time we got the second one so the nipping wasn’t an issue.

    I have a husky German shepherd mix and she's currently screaming at me because she was playing outside in the mud/rain and I won't let her on my bed. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I should've never installed that doggy door!

    Maybe that woman,asking her huskie if he wanted to go for a ride, would get more cooperation if she wasn’t trying to put a damn spike collar on the dog. I don’t understand why those collars aren’t illegal.

    I wouldn't want that collar on at 3:18; no dog likes tight fitting chains around their necks.

    I mean I don’t wanna be dramatic on this dramatic husky video but I definitely hated seeing that beautiful red husky get a choke chain put on them before going for a ride . I haven’t seen anyone use those in years. 😔 I forgot they exist
