Honda India launched the 2018 iteration of its long-standing premium scooter, the Aviator. Priced at Rs 55,157 (Ex-showroom, Delhi), the 2018 Honda Aviator features an LED headlamp with Aviator signature inside. Apart from this, it gets a metal exhaust heat shield, hook on the apron and a retractable hook under the seat as well, which enhances its practicality. Honda has also introduced a new colour- Pearl Spartan Red which adds to the already existing Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Selene Silver Metallic and Pearl Amazing White colour variants.
Mechanically, the scooter is the same as the earlier generation model. The 109.19cc single-cylinder engine produces 8.03PS at 7000rpm and 8.94Nm at 5500rpm. The scooter rides on telescopic front forks and a single rear shock absorber. It also features a 12-inch front and a 10-inch rear alloy wheel with 130mm drum brakes and CBS on both ends. A front 190mm disc is an option too. The Aviator comes in three variants (standard, alloy drum & alloy disc), and it competes with TVS Wego, Yamaha Alpha and Hero Duet.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the 2018 Aviator 110 cc scooter in the country with prices starting at Rs. 55,157 (ex-showroom,Delhi). The Honda Aviator is the two-wheeler maker's more consistently selling offering in the 110 cc segment, having been around for almost a decade now. With the 2018 edition, Honda has improved the scooter's feature list even further with additional equipment on offer. The powertrain though remains the same on the Honda Aviator with the power coming from the 110 cc engine that is shared with the Honda Activa in the company's line-up. Unlike the latter though, the Aviator is positioned as a premium offering in this space, while the overall bold and stylish design gives it a strong presence on roads. The 2018 Honda Aviator is available in three variants which are standard, alloy drum and alloy disc.
Honda Aviator Looks
The Honda Aviator looks stylish in appearance and the design largely gets a bold look thanks to the strong lines. The all-metal body and metallic finished panels ensure the premium quotient is high on the scooter when compared to other offerings in the segment. The Aviator has a strong visual presence and comes with the wide front apron. The vertically stacked turn indicators are different and the satin finished panel lends a premium touch. The headlight cluster on the scooter is now an LED unit that also comes with the Aviator signature inside it. The side panels are large and extend well into the taillight that gets a clear lens cluster and a massive single-piece grab rail. The updated Honda Aviator also comes with a new and more durable metal muffler protector finished in gloss black, while the alloy wheels are finished in brushed silver. The plastic panels along with the seat are finished in a contrast brown shade. The Honda Aviator is offered in four colour options - Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Amazing White, and Matte Selene Silver Metallic.

I am a aviator owner since 2013 and still i am using this scooter which is driven more than 35000 km but still is very good condition. There are no issue at all from 🇳🇵 nepal.

I have the same experience. I have been using the car since 2013. Sometimes I just change the mobil, air filter, oil filter. The car still sounds like new.

Aktiva old model lu ya Jupiter ya aviator old second hand Leni hai
I have owned honda aviator deluxe model since 2012 and let me tell you one thing its a pain in the ass to service, you have to take whole body off to get access for working on things also fiber joints break over time causing body vibrations and there's no option other than to replace that part. There are some positives though like telescopic suspension and disc brakes.

I own a 2010 honda aviator in black color
In 2011 aviator was the only scooter with disk brakes and alloys. ... Activa is cheaper so people skip aviator .. we went to buy Activa and due to waiting period of 8 months in 2011 .. we got avaitor . Best decision... 9 years.. and still smooth as butter. - a proud avaitor owner

Bro u missed one important point.... Height of driving seat in aviator is very high( 290mm).... This is the reason many girls and short people feel uncomfortable in riding...

Aviator is the best. i ride a 2010 model with regular servicing n stuff on time to time. this is running very smoothly. also the build quality is awesome. You can see 5 years old activa body parts getting rusted while its a different case with the aviator. Go for it blindly if you want a better bike lifetime.

This is called the herd mentality of we foolish Indians. 😊. Wahi chis ko kharidenge jo baaki log bhi kharid rahe he, meine toh Aviator hi liya hain because i know that Aviator is better than Activa. Aviator has more storage space than Activa, it has 6 ltr petrol tank and also best of all, telescopic forks and bigger wheels. But one thing bad about Aviator is that its seat height is higher.

Aviator was ahead for its time, later honda comes with 110 cc in activa but Aviator was first, it also used to have tele fork which was not common during lunching of Aviator in india, I used to have Aviator back in 2013, it was absolutely fantastic scooter.
I m going to purchase avaitor after Eid-ul-Fitr.i like its seat style leg room half painted body colour as activa's leg room is not good fainted in sunlight.avaitors exhaust is superb.Front look especially back side is so beautifull.

Aviator is the best scooter today. This shows people are not bothered of the discomfort, they only follow one another buying the same scooter.
I am using aviator for last 9 years. This is better than activa and dio. Amazing power and great for off roads too. Very satisfied till date. Reliable product by Honda.

You are only discussing about what are technical differences between Aviator and Activa. You didn't discuss about why the sales of Aviator are not so good, which is contradictory to title of this video.

How could you forget the look factor. We own an old aviator. I personally don't like the looks. Activa looks better. Looks are a very important factor it's not always about the features.

Results more work load at service stations and very very poor after sales service. Don't buy Activa because they just wash the vehicle and return .They don't service. Buy a vehicle from Suzuki , Bajaj , Hero , TVS but don't buy from Honda .I have activa and i am facing big problem from last 6 months from Punjab Honda dealer in Ahmedabad..!;..
Driving aviator from 5 years there is no issue in engine suspension and disk break... very sharp on turns more pickup than activa nd more
