All the voices and (apart from the organ in the bridge) all the sound effects are Avi. The song is about how he fought back from mental ill health following leaving PTX. The blue light at the end signifies daybreak. Avi has often referred in song to his insomnia and the anxious thoughts that occur in the night and how day time brings relief. His latest album 'Floating On a Dream' is Avi in a much happier place.

Avi has said he was burnt out from his years with PTX and music had become a job, he had lost his passion for music. This song represents him fighting to overcome that and the "change in the Rise". It was his first solo release almost 2 yes after leaving PTX. Since then he has released two EPs and in 2022 released his first full length album, Floating on a Dream. Avi is an excellent singer/songwriter and experiments with different genres. Folk, country, tribal, blues. I hope you react to more Avi, cheers!

It was Avi's first release after PTX, an what a masterpiece he did. I hadn't heard anything like that before. If I remember correctly he wrote the song while overcoming depression.

Thanks for reacting to my favorite singer/song writer ~ Where this song has a powerful vibe, his gently beautiful " Avi Kaplan, All Is Well, 7 Layers Session # 126" showcases an entirely different sound ~ yet another side of Avi is his jamming " When I'm A Fool, Live at Sunset Sound" His music is as varied as it is amazing ~ Hoping for more Avi reactions!

Finally! I have been waiting for you to get to this! I knew you would be blown away! I hope you will check out his newer music from his Floating on a Dream album, or The 7 Layer Sessions, or Live from Sunset Sound or preferably ALL of them!

In the live shows in 2019, Avi recorded the bass line before starting the song and it would be played back on a loop for the rest of the song. All the voices are Avi. The song is about his change in direction musically and in life. You may have heard it in some TV shows it has been used in.

Thank you for reacting to Avi, his music, lyrics and voice are phenomenal. I hope that you will continue reacting to him and suggest “First place I go”, and “When I’m a fool” (from his “Live at Sunset Sound” EP that was released about six months ago).

One year ago yesterday, he released his first full album. Floating On A Dream. Always happy to see reactions to him. He has spent the past few short months writing for his next album. He had a very successful tour in 2022. Beginning his European tour, then the US tour. Some Canadian venues then back to the U.S. a brief because of a potential family issue then back to Texas which ended just before Christmas. He is a good song writer as well his singing abilities. Avi is actually a classically trained vocalist but his writing genera leans toward Folk, Country and Western.

@@mariawilliams4941, I have had the privilege of doing a video chat with him for almost an hour as part of a prize I won. He is absolutely as amazing as everyone says. So genuine, kind, and just real. He was in his childhood home when I talked to him. It was just so lovely.

Love that you picked up on the subtle color change at the end from warm to cool tones. This song had a profound effect on me when I first heard it, and every time since then. I find it triggers an emotional reaction I am hard pressed to explain. This is, perhaps an anthem for the ages: a call for action, a call that precedes all manner of change. Everyone I know who has watched this video has said it caused chills, and even tears in response. The reactions are high praise, IMO. If you can move people, you can facilitate change in people. I'm pretty sure if this video is any indication, any cause Avi chooses to champion will drive people to stand up and pay attention.

He has some great songs. Much different than PTX. House of the Rising Sun is one of my favorites, but all his work is exceptional. Just look at his list and pick one. You won't be dissapointed.
