Urm Alistair Brammer is so much better!

Will Chase excelled as Chris in Miss Saigon. He has a beautiful voice and he sang and acted with conviction. I thought he was the perfect partner for Kim(Lea Solonga). They both were so great together and the chemistry between these two was so natural. Loved him without his shirt on in this scenario and his "Why God Why" was just SUPERB. You could feel his pain, and I have to say I love this unforgettable piece of music.

Chris, watching Kim sleep, asks God why he met her just as he was about to leave Vietnam ("Why, God, Why?").

I had never heard of Will Chase before I stumbled onto this video. I don't get it, why is he not more well known? This is one of the best things I've ever seen, the perfect marriage of singing and acting.

I recently watched the 25th anniversary of Miss Saigon in a movie theater but by god Will Chase trumps any Chris any day. Acting and singing is just so on point. Really sad I wasn't able to see him perform live when he did it in Manila ( thwarted by age). His Chris watching Kim sleeping and looking conflicted AF just stirs something in me.

I feel the same way. It brought back so many memories.I met my husband in 1963 while he was stationed in Germany. No war but he was so handsome in his uniform. We were married for 53 years till he past away in 2017.

Will Chase is still the very best Chris. He is sexually powerful, convincing, and a totally flawless performer who acts, sings, and expresses the character fully. Bravo to him.

Will Chase *made* this role for me...I was never hugely into musicals as a teenager but after I saw his performance in 1998 as Roger in RENT on Broadway (I caught him totally by chance during a weekend matinee when he was the understudy for the main actor) my entire perception of music theater changed. A year later I saw he had been cast as the main role for Chris in Miss Saigon, so I asked my parents to take me for my 16th birthday. His performance FLOORED me. The way he belts out that hanging high note at 4:11 literally makes my heart race, it's such an exhilarating moment, like you don't want him to even GET to the last note lol...to be able to draw out that much emotion and drama from just a single note, it's sheer talent. The whole libretto is beautiful, but to me the recorded version and other performers just don't nail that G to F# like this. Just, wow.

The story of Chris in Miss Saigon is my story had I gone to Vietnam and I wept like a baby when I took nephew Brad to see it in New York City. Everyone should experience the exhilarating spectacle that is Times Square and a Broadway Musical at least once in their lives. But to have such a personal story of what your life could have been come to life on the stage is life and God-affirming.

Another superb very entertaining interpretation of Will Chase songs rendition of "The Last Night of the World, Sun & Moon, and Why GOD why (& maybe all the rest of the songs of the Broadway musical play) together with equally talented star singer/actress Lea Salonga (original cast) of Miss Saigon. Simon Bowman & Will Chase are the best to perform Chris in a Broadway musical play Miss Saigon. Both have shown a marvelous ability of interpretation of their roles so well done. Their singing prowess is incredible, convincing, inspiring and entertaining to watch. But Simon Bowman as the original Chris of Miss Saigon had a great impact on this play. Kudos to these two wonderful players! More power and blessings to you both!!!!!!!

Not to mention when you mention a GI this is the best description of GI. Many Chris actors failed to capture the essence of an American GI, and the reason why Kim still thinks of Chris even after all these years.

I wish this guy had more solos, so I won't have to overplay this one.

This is a brilliant song, which showcases the leading man's vocals and acting, in a powerful solo that reveals Chris's conflicted feelings. My favorite part starts at 3:04, and I find the timing of the lyrics, "Just as long as you don't believe anything," in time with the orchestra very satisfying (3:29). Will Chase performed perfectly during the whole production, and he really looked like he could have been an American GI. He will always be my favorite Chris.

The main thing that bothered me about the 25th Anniversary Miss Saigon was how violent and aggressive the Chris was, like unnecessarily so, i really like Will Chase’s, it’s just the right amount to show his frustration but not too much that he seems like he has anger issues
