This is a sad state of affairs here in the U.S. For example, so many people think the pandemic is over. Not many like me that still wear a mask religiously. It’s not just for me, it’s for the sake of not spreading it to others. I believe someday someone will mock me for wearing a mask. All I can do is shake my head in bewilderment.

Huge difference between political activism and being 'in politics'. There's a very long history of ethnic violence and nomadic tribal conflict in Sudan. African politics is complex. So, he failed. Everyone has failed in that particular region. Clooney's heart is in the right place though. He's intelligent and he cares. Anyone like that will have a very tough time in current American politics. I can understand him not wanting to get involved.

I met George in person just before "Batman" came out...he was very nice, genuine, and thanked me for wishing him "good luck" with the movie. We shook hands and said "have a nice day"! 😊 PS... He was just as handsome in person then, as now, and I remember his hands being warm! 🥰

Didn't realize Wallace was 75 years old during this interview. He has aged well. I don't blame Clooney for thinking they were near equivalents in age. I would have put Chris in his early to mid 60s. Much respect to George. He grew up with what I feel were the proper ideals and parenting. It's sad that way too many children in America don't get proper parenting and a sense of purpose in life.

I'll never forget that tribute to his father. George was roasting him, quite a bit. Then, the parade of guests paying tribute, went on and on. Walter Cronkite was the show stopper - a remote feed. George's face was priceless. I think he saw dear old dad, in a different light, right then. Just an observation! Godspeed George Clooney! Keep fighting for the underdog!

I like Georgie boy and some of his movies are great but he is wrong to say that migrants are legally looking for asylum when they are not legally crossing the border at a recognised point of entry and/or making their asylum application through official channels. Never thought Clumsy would be an actor either.

George's insights are the real arc that bends towards justice. I don't see his efforts to "roll a ball uphill" towards that arc as a "failure" but rather like planting seeds of compassion and true worth that will bloom for all who live on the same planet earth. Thank you.

I amazed that people like George who come from a much less fortune financial world will not donate most of their wealth to the poor and live only a tiny bit above their upbringing. Hollywood elite Dems need to put up or shut up.. Kinda like what happened at Martha's Vineyard...creepy Dems. Do as they say but they don't do as they say. LOL.

In terms of age, I think it depends on how much someone keeps up with health the rest of life. My father is 77 but still works full time, goes for daily power walks with my mom (also working in her 70s) and rides his bike for exercise and to catch the train. People who are of a certain age like 80 don't always need walkers.

Thanks, Rebecca! YOU gave me hope for MY future. I was down in the dumps this morning and YOU made me realize, something. I'm 61, STILL 5' 10" tall, STILL 147 pounds & take ZERO medications. I took great care of myself & have a lot to look forward to. I'm retiring in 4 years & opening up a "tiny village," for tiny homes. Complete with communal garden! KUDOS to your folks, they raised a GREAT daughter!

@@monie1527 why thanks for the lovely compliment (also to my parents)! My job is at a nonprofit called Senior and Disability Action. We help disabled people (including me - I have 6 "invisible" disabilities due to an unexpected brain hemorrhage similar to an aneurysm that I had surgery for at age 12 - I try to stay positive and keep an optimistic attitude but I learn a lot from working to assist seniors as well as having volunteered to help others in the past.) Maybe that's why my college major was Sociology!
