I see that many of you think the statistics at the beginning of the video are misleading as Messi only plays against the italian teams in the Champions League. Yes i know that. But you can also consider that most of Messis goals is from when he played vs weak italian sides like Roma with Rudiger and Fazio and Milan with Mexes, Constant etc.. But Messi vs Inter 2009(with Lucio & Samuel), 3 games = 0 goals. Messi vs Milan with Sandro Nesta, 4 games = only 1 penalty goal. And if Messi played in Serie A he wouldn’t play with Iniesta, Xavi, Suarez, Coutinho every week.. I think Messi & Ronaldo have over 100 hattricks together in La Liga( or something like that) but not a single one vs italian team.. Ronaldo have like 4 hattricks vs Atletico Madrid and i think Messi have 2 hattricks vs Real Madrid, pretty strong teams, aren’t they? Little fun when Messi fans always comment that Maradona made fewer goals in his time .. And Diego also played against much better defenders in his time like Brehme, Baresi, Maldini, Passarella etc ..

I'm Italian and supporter of Juve. My first match on stadium was on the end of 2010, against Chievo Verona. Quaglia was simply great, he scored with a backheel. The game ended 1-1 with late score by Pellissier after a bad marking of Bonucci. Quagliarella in that game did a wonder after a offside at middle line: he shots with the keeper out of the net and scores. Incredible. Talking of Quagliarella, he and Pjatek are doing a fantastic season. Many goals are from penalty, but never mind. I'm glad to see one of my former players doing the difference like that!

If a player does a longish range backheel volley once you'd say it's a great goal but a bit lucky (Matty Burrows I mean you). If he does it twice... Fantastic player, incredible longevity to be playing at the top so long. My favourite striker of the past 20 years. Players like him are fantastic, same with the likes of Rui Costa, Djorkaeff, Negrete, Quaresma, never likely to get the Ballon D'Or, but they're a bit special, they'll regularly produce that "wow" moment.

Growing up with the Golden Age of Italian strikers - this is the last of its breed. A genuine star. I fucking love Quagliarella.

He deserved a better career and more trophies. Phenomenal striker

There's definitely some similarities between Zlatan and Fabio, both physical players, fearless and determined, both have that gambler's mindset let's go for something crazy the fans have never seen before. Fantastic!!!

This guy had the quality to make a totally different carreer. Unfortunately in his best years he has been terrified by a serious stalker. Training and playing the match when yor mind is completely elsewhere can only affect negatively your performances... it should be not easy to concentrate on the pitch while you are afraid that in that moment a psycopath could be killing your family. Respect for Quagliarella, hope he could play till 40 and trying to reach 200 goals in Serie A (now he's at 164). Only 7 players in the history of football reached that result (among the most recent... only Totti, Baggio and Di Natale)

But still the average italian teams are way stronger defensively compared to Epl or La liga average teams, they just put a lot more enphasis on the defensive side. You rarely see small teams conceding lots of goals while in the Premier league the top 6 score a lot more every game.

When Messi played Inter 2009-10 he scored 0 goals in 3 games, Milan with Ale Nesta he only managed to score 1 penalty goal in 4 games.. And in Cristianos case you can just in look at this season, 19 goals in 28 games vs Italian teams.. In La Liga his ratio was 1,07 goals per game.
