The problem is that Trump can't stay on a topic for more than 10 seconds, and while Biden has issues (and is a stutterer) his accomplishments speak volumes. Trump failed the low and middle income families, he failed the healthcare pandemic where 1 mio americans died to a pandemic the rest of the world had well in hand, he failed foreign policies, he failed domestic policies (infrastructure deal that Biden got through comes to mind, Trumps failure to reform or abolish the CARE act is another). Basically Trumps presidency was a failure. Bidens presidency is so far a resounding success. Basically go for a failure who can't stay on topic (which is most likely the reason why he keeps failing) or a known stutterer who can't form a coherent sentence under pressure. Neither option is great. However a rock would be a better president than Trump, atleast 1 mio americans wouldn't have died to a pandemic if a rock had been president instead of Trump.

He displays on a daily basis almost all the hallmarks of parkinsonism with the exception of tremor, which not all with parkinsonism display. The signs go back years, and has been progressively getting worse. It explains his facial expressions/stares , his short shuffling gait, hypophonia, bradykinesia, voice/throat clearing issues, falls, rigidity, among many other issues. Parkinsonism doesn't have to be caused by parkinson disease, it can also be due to different types of dementia, for example lewy body dementia among many others. If the white house can't be transparent about his health he needs to step down, if not for reelection how about for national security?

The underlying issue is that the people are being asked to pick between two power obsessed ego maniacs who have no sense whatsoever of public service.

This is a serious issue that requires awareness and problem solving. It's not just going to go away because people stop talking about it. They've been doing it that way for years and look where it led.

In All honesty, the Democratic Party can be their own worst enemy. Diversity in thoughts and opinions is a beautiful concept, but failing to rally, fully support, and fall in line is a significant area for improvement. To the credit of the Republican Party, they know how to hold the fort down and support their leadership, both rank and file. For example, if Former President Donald Trump had passed out during the debate, there would have been no one in the Republican Party asking him to step down because they recognized he was their strongest candidate. On the other hand, in the Democratic Party, there is a lot of noise about their elected candidate, President Joe Biden. Yes, President Biden had an awful debate for whatever reason, but calling for him to step down is highly unwarranted and unwise. In examining potential Democratic Party front runners, who are qualified to replace him? I keep hearing talks about Governors Gavin Newsome (CA) and Gretchen Whitmore (MI), but they need national recognition or experience. They may be prevalent in their home states but have yet to be tested nationally. Given the stakes of this election, it is unlikely they will be a force against Former President Trump. Additionally, media outlets like CNN say House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries would be a good choice again. He does not have the experience or national recognition and is still getting his footing in his current leadership role. Lastly, there are news media outlets (not the people) pushing for Vice President Kamala Harris to be the presidential candidate. Still, I strongly dissent, given her record and historically low approval ratings. Vice President Harris has not been able to accomplish anything noteworthy since being in office. Sidebar: I understand Vice Presidents are like spears until something happens to a sitting President. However, she was given tasks like managing and co-coordinating immigration issues at the U.S. Southern Border and has fumbled. Given the Republican Party takes most of the blame for their failure to pass the bi-partisan immigration reform bill (at the behest of Donald Trump). As a Black/African American, it pains me to say that Kamala Harris also faces significant challenges as a mixed-race person. We recognize that racism is alive and well in the United States, including the Democratic Party, as well. Along with being a person of color, she is a woman running for office in a highly contested election; given the historic precedence with women like Shirley Chislom and Hilary Clinton, we are in a more divisive and radical climate. Let’s stick by President Biden he is the face of the presidency but there is an entire administration along side him doing to the work of the American people. We have protections in place and he follows the rule of law and listens to the advisors and established professionals including military leadership. We have not never heard him arguing, disagreeing and trying to undermine our institutions like Former President Donald Trump.

She says older people can be forgetful and even a bit senile - and still function OK. *But they can’t be president of the United States!* We have seen Biden's cognitive decline now for months! How many times do the reporters have to be told that the President doesn't have neurological issues, his last extensive physical and neurological exam was just 5 months ago, you've seen the medical records and he's fine! I'm sick of hearing it too. But not from reporters. Believe it or not, this is evidence that they're actually capable of doing their jobs. I'm sick of hearing that it's still happening. Not that it's being reported on. Biden should be dropping out for the good of the country. That's not an opinion, it's a fact. His campaign is done. Everyone who saw the debate and the interview can see that as plain as day. This needs to be driven home so that Biden and those delusional enough to still think he has a chance actually finally understand how bad the damage was and is. It's ongoing. Because Biden never needed to win the Democrats over. He needed to win over the independent voters, and those who weren't passionate to vote. That moment has passed. He ain't getting those people. Period. Because as bad as Trump is, it's asinine to expect people to feel the same way as them about Trump enough to vote for someone else they ALSO think is a bad decision. Trump being a monster doesn't let the Democrats off the hook for who they send to fight said monster. Running Biden is an insult to the electorate. He won before because enough people were motivated enough to vote. He runs now, you can't blame people for staying home.

Because they don't apply to Trump. Trump was just elected in an actual primary, and he doesn't have dementia. Trump can, and does regularly, sit for extended interviews as well as speak live off teleprompter to the public. The debate was clear as day the difference cognitively between these two.

Kamala has been like a backdrop, her smiling face albeit lovely, sadly became a frustrating image management hyped look for me. Biden is so lovely too. Rewatch the debate. The same cycle we see with Trump is happening here: something beyond normal slowly gets incorporated into everyday life. I remember the 1984 presidential debate between Reagan and Mondale. When asked if his age is a problem, Reagan responded that he will never exploit for political purposes the youth and inexperience of his opponent. The whole room broke out laughing. It even made Mondale laugh. That is a masterclass on dispelling doubts about a candidate's cognitive ability. When compared to how Biden did and continues to do, it must make Democrats embarrassed that Biden is their man.
