ya'll don't know what the grind used to be like (sometimes you'd sit there for days grinding for 1 level and still not be in triple digits) sometimes you couldn't even afford pots..sittin at zombie mushrooms and zombie lupins spamming heal for days, original Windia native...I miss those days...and then i joined a store guild, and ran the FM, and when I was rich made a crazy Dexless Sin, had all the juicy stuff, high atk dmg BWG, crazy sauna robe, crazy scrolled maple Kandayo, llbis...would sit at the snails left of hennesys and pop those high numbers farming Fame...good times also....I hella miss my frozen tuna...all games should have a giant frozen tuna option as a polearm

Original Windia native here as well! Man it was a struggle back then. Grinding with a DK (if you were lucky) and getting 5-10% per hour. I still remember trying to get to Papulatus solo at a low level (to see if I could); couldn't take the right path because everything would get aggro from heal (once made it to Thanatos but they're undead too and hostile), and couldn't take the left path because the Gatekeeper was too fat to teleport through! Never got tired of playing back then though, especially the PQs since you always got a spot in a party, even if getting into the actual instance was maddening. Good times.

Top tier damage (dps and burst) along with access in swapping to F/P 60-70% party wide final damage buffs and mandatory class for majority of endgame bosses Tons of bossing utility like fountain, angel ray heal and shell, not to mention door Some of the best training rates in this game Insanely OP class indeed

Great video Coppersan, ur videos are the reason why i main Bishop (Elysium) in the destiny update patch, that is the video about the class the got the biggest buff from Destiny update :DDD, btw i want to point out a few more good things being a bishop: - Holy symbol and Advance blessing --> free 2 node slot and save tons of exp + node stone from feeding decent holy symbol - IA +1 attack is not a must-> I used 49% buff duration for a long time and stil feel wonderful, can also remove Decent speed infusion if not needed - Holy Magic Shell help a lot for early boss - 259 bishop and still not want to switch to F/P hahaha Also i follow u and hyper burn 250 Mihile and this class also rock like hell

Oh maaaan. Cleric was my first character in MapleStory back in 2006/2007 and it was so hard to level up or play alone. Now it seems it made a 180 turn and it is one of the best classes to play - and without a very hard grind.

Bishop, i/l and f/p mage are all amazingly good classes right now, theyre so much fun

Bishop is a *bit* overhyped as a damage dealer class. I own one. Hyperburned. Currently sitting at 253. Bishop has been and will always be a support class. With that being said, I still love the class as second/third main in my roster (the other being Lara). Class Pros: Possesses an absurdly high base critical hit rate, to the point that almost (if not all) hits are critical lines. The OG healer of all classes, classic Heal, Holy Fountain, Angel Ray, and even Revive. The KING of support skills, Blessing (and Advanced Blessing) to increase attack across mages and non-mages alike, and the immensely powerful buff Benediction. Owns Holy Symbol for simplified grinding. Has Holy Magic Shell to defend against boss debuffs (Chaos Queen's undead and Lucid's bombs as example). Has the keys to heaven (Heaven's Door), protecting party members from dying, acting as an extra life against bosses. Has a pet dragon that brands enemies, which in turn increases Bishop's damage against them. Twin fountain (Fountain of Vengeance, Erda Fountain) grinding makes even larger maps enjoyable. Class Cons: Lowest base damage of all Explorer Mages (even with 5k+ stats more AND an Arcane Umbra Staff, my Bishop's damage value is lower than my I/L Mage with an Absolab weapon), this also counterbalances the effect of the high critical hit rate, undermining its value in DPS. Not ideal as a bossing solo class-- at least for newer players, as even Benediction is a stat-dependent skill to exercise its full effect (approximately 30k INT is required for +3 Attack Speed). Divine Punishment feels pretty weak at earlier levels, and while it acts as a burst-lite skill, needs node investment early on to use effectively, alongside Benediction. Peacekeeper is an underwhelming skill, despite its reach and relatively tight cooldown, doesn't stand out as a devastating attack against most enemies. Compared to other Explorer Mages, Big Bang (main skill) is less effective in reducing the monster population. Verdict: When funded-- WELL funded, Bishop is a powerful, well-rounded character, but is not designed for boss soloing. The Explorer Revamp only made the experience more bearable with some necessary tweaks here and there. Even with my love for this class, I cannot ignore the demand and commitment required for the class to function properly, accumulating higher stats for more powerful buffs, meaning half-heartedly funding a Bishop mule seems out of the question; either grind and progress to 30k stats and level 30 Benediction, or look for someone else who has done it themselves. For every boon the class offers, there might be something counteracting or taking away from the final impact (high critical rate stacked over lower base damage for example). Bishop was made to act on the sidelines, and in a game as old as MapleStory, this is what makes it different from other classes. For this, I adore it for being a strictly support-based class among my collection of characters. It can deal damage, but is even better at improving the survivability of other players. For a player who wants a class designated strictly damage dealing, you won't find it here. If you want to ensure that the party survives until the end of the fight, and provide a huge morale boost through some powerful buffs, this might be the class you've been searching for.

the cleric/bish has always been busted imo since the days of old, being able to go to sleepywood back when zombie mushrooms were located in the first few maps of the ant tunnels and just spam heal to kill mobs made them a power house in parties or solo, when ludi pq was first patched in they were a must have. thanks coppersan for continuing to make content on a game from the days of yesteryear.

New Bishop is fantastic game design in giving a healer a "I wanna play the game solo sometimes" option that doesn't feel halfhearted. I play Holy Paladin in WoW and doing dailies is torment if they require multiple things to kill.

I recall leveling a healing druid that was unique. I went back to my hunter so often to brush off the repetitive and slow growth rate. I would kill time with my Twink rogue (40) in strangle gank 😜🤣

I look at these damage hits and my jaw drops... I remember STRUGGLING waaaayyy back in the day when Orbis didn't even have a map.

Definetly a good class, but still hard for grinding compare to all the New good classes, this is for the ppl who loves to be use or carry for hard bosses, i prefer good grinding and good boosing, for example Lara provides damage/heal and speed attack too, i wish you to make a video for Lara with the New buffs Lara is broken af almost good as bishop bossing 🌸❤️

What class should I Hyper Burn? Restarted on Reboot 2 months ago and have just been grinding up link and legion (I should've made the jump YEARS ago). I'd love a class that I can solo progress with. Easy bossing and mobbing (lol, I mean of course). I did an Adele in Bera and don't hate that class, but am open to a change. Currently really considering Bucc, NL, DW, and DS. All have things I like and don't like though. So just not sure 😕 open to everyone's suggestions!

@@Anfonya Should be mid June. I don't think it's been officially announced, but the prevailing expectation is that it's going to start as soon as the current "fairy bro's" event ends. Which is June 13th. Demon Slayer is a great choice! Literally the only thing keeping me from picking that one right now is the Demon Fury. I find it slightly annoying to deal with rather than Mana. But if that doesn't bother you, then you'd be silly not to pick DS. It's OP in so many ways :)

I remember buying leech from a bishop back in the day at the Harps and Skeles my best friend had one on Bera called Mekatelyu i love this class.

I also have a 220 bishop on reboot, but I need to learn how to get my int to XX000 stats

Bishop will be getting a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery small buff/nerf in that they will get less Final Damage from Blessed Ensemble per party member, but will receive some flat Final Damage in exchange. Not much of a change, but hey maybe someone will appreciate the like 15-30 seconds being saved in their solo-boss clears.

Back in my day, priests has one mob attack: Heal. And they pretty much camp around zombie mushrooms, zombie lupins, chronos or coolies.

I always loved these little differences in the classes. It's a shame none of it matters anymore

I stopped using my bishop when Nexon nerfed the heal spam. Even at level 150+, I used heal a lot against undead monsters. But i guess i'll login to my bishop again!

Yeah I was really mad about that too. Simply because the healing was great for zombies in the mines which was awesome.

Picked up Bish coming back from the game in solo progression and ended up saving a lot headache, even though I'm looking to switch off. If you're looking to play the other explorer mages, Bish doesn't need much to get started where the other two need a ton of nodes to get the ball rolling with the damage training or bossing. Also extra lives when you're trying to relearn the game feels huuuuge

Reminds me of the days in 2008 when there was always a bishop in Henesys showing off their 4th job skill motivating the noobs to keep the grind.

If I didn't already have a 231 bishop I would probably hyper burn, but sadly I have hair and eyes I love and can't get back 😢

I really want to like my Bishop (220) but as a strictly solo/super casual player it just seems like such a waste to play. I love support classes but in a game like Maple I don't think I'll ever be in the big leagues of Black Mage runs or anything that would essentially require a Bishop so I stick to my I/L mage. Plus Bishop's skill animations being so yellow just wears out my eyes for some reason.

Wait.....thats busted...i always thought that support classes would have weaker bossing compared to other classes. But all of THAT... yet nexon nerfs BaM support skills

you also forgot that bishop also gives 10% fd from angel ray to the whole party so at 50k Stat its more so 37.5% fd from angel ray + benediction. not to mention the myriad of other buffs they provide on top of that. bishop just has WAY too many supportive capabilities to list and is what makes them truly by far the best party class

2:50 I'm sure you just worded it poorly in the moment, but I have to correct you here. Base exp is completely different from bonus exp. And Holy Symbol doesn't increase base exp. Bonus exp scales off your base exp, which can not be increased by any means, aside from being X lvls within a mobs lvl.

Ah yeah I meant that as in the "base" exp a class can get without exp cards and just by their own skills.

bishops my main. what more can i say. used to be a I/L till lvl 220. tried a bit of F/P. but bishop has been my main ever sinds. grinding is easy. i can just turn of my brain and blow up the map. bossing is fun, and you are one of the most wanted in bossing party's. to solo you need allot of funding, that is the only downside. but it is still easyer than other classes, sinds bishops are realy hard to kill. and some party's, you keep spamming heal, sinds people get lazy with a bishop in the party at times. i'll leave it to you all. if that last part is a pro or con.

Bishop is the only class capable of self sustaining in both the realm of HP and MP due to it being a support class. (I tried 18 hours soloing scarlion pre big bang and only consumed 10 power elixir after taking hits for 18 hours, good survivability but horrible damage output) In older maplestory version the holy damage bonus is kept to the undead monsters as healing will kill chronos, wraith, zombie mushrooms etc. This is to balance the game as Bishop have reduced damage output against other enemy types. Giving healing a cooldown, make holy fountain automatically heal the HP at regular interval and making holy damage bonus universal kind of uncapped the balance for Bishop. It means a Bishop that used to be actively juggling heal, buffs and attacks can now focus on attacking when the healing skills become automatic.

30 seconds for Genesis cd in 2023? Wild for modern standards. Could easily knock that cd down to like.. 5 secs maybe? Not that broken.

Bishop? Nah. That's a Pope.

Trust me, as a 215 Bishop in this game, training them is not easy unless you have people in your party. The are not meant for solo. Reboot players will have a blast with Bishop, but if you are on a dead server, this may not be the right class for training. I can say that because my Bishop is 215 and I struggled a lot with training and soloing and the amount of mesos I spent to get them decent is astronomical. Use this class at your own discretion people, that is where I can stand now.

Because the heals😂 It’s rare to see bishops in 2023 or at least when I was still playing. Back then it was all about Holy Symbol & keeping players alive. Now not so much 🤷‍♂️

Way too many skills, mobbing is easy but bossing is really hard with a bishop.
