Doing a physics undergrad now at UofT, this video persuaded me to come to McMaster and do engineering physics for grad school

    +appselon I'm deciding between engineering/physics and UofT/McGill next year, I'm in grade 12 now. What's your take?

+Piero La Terza ahh I had the problem in grade 12. First thing if a bachelor is your final degree then go for engineering cause it is easier to get a job. Second going from undergrad physics to grad engineering way easier than the reverse. Third it is also easier to get into engineering physics or applied physics(what I am aiming for) grad school with a a physics degree than a engineering degree. Fourth u can only get a PE with a engineering bachelor, which obviously also makes u more employable. So my advice is try to get into Nsci in uoft or something similar in McGill first, otherwise go for a physics degree. I did the same thing when I was in grad 12 but unfortunately I got rejected by Nsci but I did get accepted by ece which was my second engineering choice

Very informative. McMaster university is on my top list of engineering schools. I will not give up hope. I can make it there!

I want to change majors, and the courses I’m more interested in are physics, engineering physics and computer engineering. Any thoughts? My interests are mainly astronomy, robotics, and AI.

***** Simple,Mechanical engineering gets you job. Engineering physics are for those research focused guys ,they are the only guys learning quantum physics and high level math. toughest engineering discipline possible but not the best if you want a career. i guess not everyone is in research that's why mechanical engineering is much more popular.
