Egypt isn't interested in global power, Egypt is one of several Arab countries focusing on leading the Arab world into a prosperous future and hopefully without any wars anymore. Israel continues occupying Palestine, so I would not call Israel peaceful. The military does not have a grip on the Egyptian economy, but it does sometimes manage certain projects until they can stand on their own two feet. Egypt is heading towards a social democracy with capitalism that stays away from corporatism, especially in politics. Thank you for not calling Egypt 2013 a military coup though. That particular fantasy is getting very frustrating and annoying.

Great video. A few things to correct though, Egypt is not part of the Arab world! Egyptians are not Arabs. And the music you used for the video is not Egyptian either, it's Arabic music which is very different from ours. Egyptians didn't choose a stong man over democracy as you mentioned. Egyptians had to get rid of the terrorist group " Muslim brotherhood" representated by Mursi. They didn't rule Egypt through democracy, terrorist don't know democracy!

Poor country with poor infrastructure, people can barely eat, bad educational system and they want to spend 59 billion dollars on a new city. Good help is hard to find on all levels...!

Fyi the 59B capital is not being paid by the egyptian government. The gov will only build the infrastructure like roads, electricity, gov building etc. The rest is going to be built by foreign & local real estate companies who buy land, construct buildings and then sell apartments. In other words, egypt is selling desertic land worth nothing for $$$. Pretty genius if you ask me

You're just criticizing. I think having a poor infrastructure requires a new city and doing a refurbishment to the old ones ?

Egypt's educational system is on the up with things like the egyptian bank of knowledge and digitilisation of public-national schools. Plus, egypt relies on private schools far more than public schools. And the people can eat just fine idk what you're on about "people can barely eat". Egypt's health system is incredible, in recent feats the country has been completely rid of Virus C and this was announced by the WHO. Poor infrastructure by mubarak, sadat and morsi IS why the new city is being built.
