Kaz is one my favorite modern drummers. He always brings a nice balance of deep pocket groove, playing with meter, clean dynamics, and explosive solos. Pound for pound one of the best in the game.

extreme smart and sympathetic player. His backing loops are the most played loops by world class drummers. love to watch him playing.

He is also adding some kind of effect send like reverb. It sounds nice. I would have dialed it back just a hair. But it sounds great.

Sounds great:) He uses triggers to blend processed kick / snare sounds in with the acoustic tone. It really cracks. Such a great sound for these kind of tunes! Blending E-drums with acoustic drums really opens up so many possibilities.

When i read the title i thought: depends on the drummers stage of development! When i heard the initial intro i thought: conventional and inspired. When i got more than thirty seconds in i then realised: this guy has a very keen groove and musical ear for details! His timing and groove writing is very sensitive to the music he is playing to and so my inital criticisms were proven very wrong very quickly. He plays with great choice and control and demonstrates the reason for loop practicing convincingly. To sum up, i thought id dislike this lesson but found out quickly that the drummer featured is unmistakenly excellent! Great groove, feel and orchestrating. I recommend any casual visiter to give this video a three minute view before discarding. The lesson is worth more to you than a casual glance. Im glad i somehow came around, a weird admission but I wish to be honest

Amazing! I love listening to Kaz. I love playing to loops, which is why I like playing to some EDM, dubstep, trap, phonk, and even hip hop, cause it's pretty repetitive in a loop. Great drumless Daft Punk tracks in the Drumeo membership app to play too.
