    Morning PQ, To answer all of your questions. I play in a high storm typhoon clan. If we have a player with Smaland we will take that over a Gdansk. Gdansk requires a lot of patience and timing to be effective correctly. Its a lot of fun but a high skill ceiling. As for the mod station question I don't its going to overall make you beat a player without mods but it does give you some advantages. It doesn't take a beating like Russian DDs or French DDs but its one of my favorites to play personally!

    Your CV was spotted, he was intercepting you LOS wise if youve gone ahead and pushed into spawn. I'd torp that angle as well after a some time that depends on game sense. If it was 20km torps, he maybe also just tried to torp the CV. Nothing really unusual here? Either good game sense or pure take-CV play. I asked in a WG stram like 8 months ago, why they use the timer-mod in their official event streams, but dont integrate it into the game, and their answer was: "Its not usefull information for every player in the game." - I was crying tears from such a patheticly bad response..

    DDs that are good at competitive are ones with high speed like the French DDs who can take agro from the enemy team and DDs with good concealment coupled with high damage torps for zoning. That's why despite how old they are, Gearing and Shimakaze are still one of the most common DDs you'll see in clan battles. Another trend for DDs when it comes to ranked is that almost all DDs you'll see in ranked have either crazy DPM or heal.

    well it was a unicum shima with 500 battles just in shima so zoning torpedos are a thing you can do just to throw them in the blue when you dont know where the last dd can be you throw them around an island in the hope it hits, better then keeping the torpedos and not using them. especially a such high wr shima with a just average overall damage normaly means he plays strategic and not goes for max dmg vs bb and stuff so i would say thats kinda normal

    i mean, it's logical to throw torps that way. He knows a DD is there. PQs team is in a disadvantage from ships and points. The textbook play for a DD is to go for the next cap, since that's whats threatening him. Also, Shima has 3 torp launcher. Why not drop 1 set in that direction?

    I definitely prefer the fast forward over the cut out, gives me an idea of what you do to get into the positions that you do. Please do a video on mods, even go into depth and show us the mods on mod station because I have a hard time picking the right ones. If wargaming is okay with it then we are. Even though the speed one and the smoke puff one are a little cheeky I do like the navigation one but haven’t been able to find it myself. I’m currently grinding the Gdańsk out myself, tier 7 is a little rough but it’ll be my 4th t10 dd so not so bad. Thanks for all the killer videos and keep up the good work 🫡👍🏻

    I honestly think a lot of it comes down to commanders. Players just don't have high point commanders for this tech tree. It puts you at a notable disadvantage.

    i do have a 21pt cmd and i love gunboat dds but somehow GDansk doesn't work for me .... prefer Ragnar / Groningen :x

    I think more people dont play it because they struggle to effectively use the short duration on the radar. I notice most people trying to play it like a USS Black farming safely in the smoke, where in reality it is meant to be used as a pressure tool to force dds away due to its short duration, but stupid range. I think most people quit after realizing it could not free farm with smoke radar for very long. Also, your point about its lack of survivability is correct too. So TL:DR. People are playing this ship like Black, not playing to its unique role, hindering the ship's performance Edit: Maybe try this ship out yourself and feel out the unique playstyle it brings and make a guide on it!

    Agree, you need to have basic knowledge on timing, positioning, and managing your consumables. Too early radar and they would be able to farm you back inside their smoke. Bad positioning means wasting your smoke, got torpedoed, or getting focused by their teammate. Too reckless for using consumables means you are useless in the late game if there's still enemy dds left. Playing as a backline farmer isn't ideal either because she doesn't bring much pressure to cruisers and bbs compared to Marceau, Ragnar, or any other dps dds.

    I like and play this boat fairly often, but I agree the fact that you get wrecked pretty quickly is probably the reason for not so many playing it.

    It does seem to take far more damage than comparable ships. Like playing Z-52 taking full pens from everything.

    Worst tier 9 DD lol. Turrets are so slow the radar is often wasted. You get two volleys off at best.

    I do that all the time, torps into a non-protected/non-defended cap entry, he had the other side protected with his ship and a long time had passed since you'd been spotted, you could have been anywhere (and were). Note that it was only one set with his other torps held in reserve. With quick re-loading torps and nothing else spotted to launch them at, It's a viable play. Oland Main.

    It is a fun ship and pretty strong in spite of defects. However, the best way to play against it as a dd player is to not shoot back and just wait out the radar. So many dd player tend to bail from their smoke when painted by the radar. But really, they will only get tops three salvos and with a little wiggling you should be able to escape serious damage while the radar is in effect. But remember that if you linger in your smoke that radar comes back in one minute. I think French DDs are better but it is a matter of taste-and depends on if there is a CV or not. Smoke is a valuable tool. Smoke and radar is almost OP. Oddly enough Black is a more dangerous ship.

    Yeah, gdanks is lucky to get two volleys off unless you know where to look ahead of time. The strength is the short reload time for the radar. I'd rather have smalland though.

    7:10 and the zoning torps. These are from the Shima. And yes, he could guess that you'd come back this way. At least I'd guess it, because it's the fastest and safest way into the B cap for you.

    Gdansk if one of my favorite destroyers. Its weighty salvos and fast torps help deal with cap contesting dd's. However it is slow to turn and handles poorly even though its fast. If I'm not already turned out I will eat major damage in the process of turning out. Modules do seem to get knocked out easily, I'll get a fire and a bunch of things knocked out repair and next salvo knocks out just as many modules. Being not the best shot like me hurts a little too cause its not the fasting shooting dd though damage is good so it hurts your dpm more missing a shot then lets say a Vampire2. I run conceal to give me extra conceal especially for late game and torping, plus I share captain(Swirski) with Ragnar. I take engine boost instead of radar module. If a team can aim well I've really taken some beatings quickly. I find I have either a really good game or bad game not much in between. However if I play more cautiously and laid back in the beginning I usually do better overall (no surprise lol) but thats hard to do in a DD sometimes. I take the range skill cause its good at long range farming and you can smoke up 12+ km to avoid Russian radar and still be able to hit targets. It's high detect makes it hard to push in at many times even though the radar helps negate this but if enemy has some good shots I feel like I'm punished very easily and the time it takes to turn out or stop and smoke you can get punished then as well. People probably don't play it as much cause its so easy to hit and its easy to get destroyed in it. I do play it in clan battles and have had some really good games in it. However if I get focused fired I can be dead really quick

    love the smoke mod - I haven't actually used the in game centre location much, but seeing where the smokes are on the minimap is so powerful - and makes radar rangefinding that bit easier

    I think I caught it, those torps that you don't know why they were there. As you were done shooting at the Shima, the surface ping of a sub happened, meaning if they had you on hydrophone, they could've pinged their map to tell the Shima where to torp.

    I have this Ship and like you I don't hop in this Ship that much. That said, the torps no Idea!? that was Jedi stuff!!! lol I run Aslain-mods and one of them was recommended and thats smoke icon marker and some other ones as well.     I've got my DD damage record in Gdansk (with only an 11pt capt) and I love this bote, but you're right about the downsides. This thing EATS damage, its also got a very large hull so it'll eat torps too unless you're playing very very smart. The radar is also really short so your teammates will usually only get 1 shot off of it max. Despite the radar and smoke, its just a lot harder to make it work compared to something like a Smaland or YY (for radar) or Kleb or Marceau (for a gunbote) when it comes to competitive Edit to add: That shima player that you mentioned is in my clan group in our typhoon 1 clan. Hes a very good player and probably rightfully understood that you had to start contesting caps to get your team back in the match. When you are playing against a good player, you can make predictions based off of what you know they will try to do to win the game. If Im in that ship, and I see PQ on a Gdansk going dark, I know you're not gonna chase my Montana to J1 and lose the game on a radar DD so I would be playing with the assumption that you'd be trying to get into C and looking to torp you or spot you for our team

    I think a good dd guide to make could be a when to ignore a cap situations, as I often debate whether it's worth it to sit and reverse into a cap, rather than spot the enemy team from the flank

    The answer as to why Gdansk is such a rarely seen ship. Too big, too clunky, horrible turret turning times and floaty shells. Did I forget something? If something form the statements above is not ture that might be the bad impressions the previous DDs left. Just like Neptune guns are way slower then Minos, maybe here the Tier 9 also only has these downsides.😅

    A gun DD with out a heal is a handy cap against many of the other gun DD. I think gdanks is best played with a spotter DD or another gun DD. Higher skill to play solo.

    The lack of commanders for a solitary line makes it expensive to grind, and the proliferation of lines overall I think have made people credit poor and selective about which lines they pursue.

    Gdansk works well in Ranked/CBs if you take Concealment Expert over Fearless Brawler and keep the Radar mod and just play near objectives and radar DDs when they try to commit to them. She's not a straight up knife fighter until you've taken out some of the bigger enemy ships that can hit you as a big, easy target. With engine boost you can brake dodge things at like 12km+ though if you've taken care of enemy DDs and just want to farm at that point to help the team against radar cruisers or whatever. Gdansk has a high skill floor because of her clunkiness, gotta be real careful of torps and salvos from cruisers/BBs.

    At 6:53 you can see a sub ping fairly close to you, so you could have been spotted by his hydrophone (through an island, thanks WG) without you knowing it (also thanks WG)

    Yo, PQ, I believe your thoughts on the mods feeling cheap are justified, the only 1 of the 3 you mentioned i think is acceptable would be the ship angle 1 on the bottom left. The point of a good marksman is that he can gauge lead-times and understands speeds of ships travelling. Center smoke detector takes away from people that get good and shooting blind into smoke, surprising lazy smoke farmers. Those two other mods seem to eliminate some skill capping which i feel is cheap and easy...

    PQ. Its kinda buggy, as far as I know, when you get spotted for just half a second and go dark again immediately, I think the enemy ship is able to see you for half a second without the game telling you with "Detected". It is possible that this is what happened just before you went behind the rock, not the shima but periscope sub spotted you, and shima had the info on the minimap where you were going. So he tried his chance maybe. The answer to the other question is even more simple: Because Gdansk is fckn garbage. It cant go fast like french dds to dodge shells effectively. It doesnt have armor to tank the damage like russian dds. No heals, no armor, no speed, no saturation, the defensive capabilities of it are so pathetic that even experienced players play it a bit more passive than usual. As a result of this passiveness, the guns also lose their power (longer flight time, worse dispersion). I remember Flamu saying in his tier list video: "GdAnSk... sTrAiGhT s TiEr", S TIER MY ASS. Claiming that Gdansk has the same level of power and battle impact as Marceau or Smalland, is MAADDNNEESS 😂 Conclusion: Defensive capabilities of Gdansk is so garbage that it 90% doesnt even allow you to make good use of the strong sides of the ship, which are basically the guns.

    am going for this one. just re researched holland, now getting cap to 21. takes time with so many ships to play now. had to grind bronze finally onto silver, so easy enough to grind my 8s and 9s to Finnish the lines

    I've had mixed results with this ship, in both CB and randoms. It is a high skill ship, which explains my bad games, but I think it comes down to the focus fire and ease of hitting. It's not Mogador fast, and it's big, and no heal (but maybe that would be OP). I was hoping it would be the new Smaland (since I don't have that ship), but it ain't. It's powerful, but you often get focused down because of that and the torps lack the power to keep people at distance.

    Honestly some of the mods are pretty broken, the smoke mod especially and the way it appears on the Minimap just gives you so much information that their dd might as well be spotted if he just used his smoke. Also mods that give you the ship information like torp range and such i personally love, since I was always too lazy to learn all DD and CA torp ranges in the game. And then they started printing so many BB's that come with torps too so that's one of my favorite mods. Since they added the information to the teamlineup its not as impactful but I still find value with it. Shot timer is top 3 mods as well since it allows you to "gamer turn" a bit more safely. Overall i can't imagine playing without those mods anymore, but definitely a significant advantage i think.

    Hi , Truly thanks for all the efforts you put into making your video's. I play clan wars as a dd player and my object is to spot for the fleet which requires higher speed for quicker detection, good concealment for longer life, and torping into flanks of course(lol fun!). Why take Gdansk when you can can have a cruiser , with better guns , better health, better radar , hydro, smoke , and perhaps torps. Again thanks for your insights.

    Gdansk has seen high level CB play and was quite popular in the last KOTS. Resin specifically used Gdansk quite effectively a couple seasons ago and were quite a challenge to face. Gdansk usage is pretty much down to the French DD restrictions, Smalland restriction, and Napoli restrictions. French DDs are better gunboats, Smalland heal plus good detect is hard to argue against, and when you can spam Napolis teams tend to cut DDs down to one and Gdansk is not a good solo DD in CBs. Every now and again, Gdansk is also used in smoke comps to eliminate smoke downtime for the cruiser. It is not a general purpose DD so most high level teams only bring it when there is a specific plan for it. As far as the torps on you from the Shim, there are three reasons why I might have torped that spot. First is that the sub used hydrophone and you were seen on the minimap going North. I don't play the silly things, so I am not certain exactly how it works these days, but the sub was quite close to you. Second is somehow your torps were spotted early. I don't think they would have been, but if they were the angle of the torps would make it clear to me exactly where you were heading,. Third he just threw one rack there because it makes sense for you to loop back and contest the B cap from that side without risking a whole lot. Third option feels like the likely one.

    you rarely see it in comp teams usually run stealthy dds with good torp power to deal with pushing ships and spot for the team since if someone is spotted expect to have 7 people focusing him since that is the best way to win more comp battles

    Honestly, I think the only mod that should be allowed in game is the team hp indicator. It can be hard to tell how healthy the remaining ships on a team are, and it just allows people to make better plays by getting a sense of how much of an advantage or disadvantage they’re at. More than anything, it’s a quality of life mod and not that broken. All the others though? I say they’re definitely closer to cheating. Having an indicator that says “blind fire here for 99% guaranteed hit” is busted. And now there’s a mod that takes all the skill out of hitting someone who’s attempting to speed juke by just telling you how fast they’re going. Speed juking is annoying on the best of days, but it’s also a key element of survival for some ships. I personally find a good amount of accomplishment when I take out someone who’s speed juking by reading their smokestack, because I know they tried their best to survive and I met their challenge, or vice-versa. Now knowing there’s a good chance my survival is based on whether I outplay not only the player but the mod they’re using just feels incredibly bad. Same with the score timer mod, if a close game goes down to the wire and one person sees they can just run for two whole minutes and win, that takes most of the risk out of making a potentially winning play. It also encourages making stupid plays when there’s still a chance because someone sees they’re going to lose nearly 10 minutes before the end of a match when they could have used the time they spent rushing at the enemy to regain caps and potentially turn the tide. Not to mention the angle indicator is just annoying to play against. There have been a lot of times where I’ve shifted my angle when moving toward someone and they’ve instantly swapped to either HE or AP when they otherwise would never have done without that mod. Whether that serviced or hindered them is a 50/50, but regardless it’s definitely closer to cheating. It tells you exactly what someone is doing, even around corners when you can’t really see what they’re doing. In any other situation, people would consider that a form of wall hacks and would call for it to be banned. I personally don’t use mods for these very reasons. In my opinion they cheapen the experience and make the game way less fun to play. Plus I really don’t like all the extra stuff on the screen. A minimal UI is better than having too much UI for a game like WoWs.

    Regarding editing decision, I’d say that if the time jump is less a minute or two, I prefer the fast forward because sometimes the jump happens and I have no context for how long it’s been, so I have to cross check the mini map and game timer to know where we are and that makes it harder to pay attention to what’s actually happening and being talked about. Just my preference anyway.

    Ok, before watching the video: My main Problem with Gdansk is its size. I tend to eat way more damage in it that with other gun boats, torps and shells alike. The lack of conceal isn't helping either. Then there is the HE. It's definitely not bad, but not having AP at all isn't fun.

    Agreed. If it had fr speed boost and Kleber speed than it would be amazing, but speed is not as good as Kleber so really cant use it so much to dodge and its also bigger than Kleber without fr saturation.

    When i look at the map and watch last known position and it tells you were you were headed at the time so i sometimes random fires torps in the general heading like that..!

    What about Zorkiy as the next ship to play? I mean yeah it's a supership but I think we haven't seen it on your channel yet. Would be a nice memorial to the old Khabarovsk times and a nice contrast to this one as it's quite difficult to kill

    I think the thing with mods is that, whether they're the difference between beating another player or not, a player without them doesn't have all the same tools as someone who does. At the very least, the more gameplay orientated mods should be baked into the base game so that any player can enable them. More players look through game settings than look for mods, if the mods are fine to be in the game, they should be in the game.

    The SS hydrophone pinged your direction without you knowing it. Another WG brilliant game design I would say. Anw, that gave the shima your direction so he dumbed the torps that way.

    I play Gdandk in CB. Its radar is just enough to drive an enemy DD off the cap, and the cooldown is low enough that it's ready when they come back. Good guns, fast torps, and two ways to control vision (radar and smoke). What's not to like?

    The smoke puff is busted, the battle expert displays information already in the map, just makes it easier to see. The running light i'm 50/50 on it but i started using them since they are in the mod pack.

    With the Shima torps, he might've just took the chance that you're not spotted and likely to come in to cap contest, since you're team was behind, and just torped near the island where most people come around. I do that sometimes but I'm not a great player, so maybe that's why it's strange 😁

    I agree, if the Shima say the torps from PQ and figured it would go around the island then sending torps as a but maybe torps. as in but maybe he will come around the corner not paying attention and eat the torps.

    PQ, completely agree with all the downsides. I do like running Gdansk in ranked. It doesn't have the carry power of some of the other gunboat DDs but it did feel like I had a lot of game impact hunting DDs and defending caps. If you don't have a half decent team on your side to back up your gameplay, this DD really struggles. On the other hand, fire chance can feel a bit broken when you are able to safely farm from smoke or behind islands. It definitely takes a lot of skill to play well.

    I like the Gdansk but I don´t play it as much as I would because of the short radar. Most radars will allow you to kill a DD, specially if it´s sitting in smoke, but a 10 second radar only lets you get a couple of salvos into it. So the radar on it is meh to me. I do take concealment on mine, I play it more like a torp boat with good guns. Like a Halland with smoke if you will. Since it isn´t very fast, you can´t open water gun boat like you would on a French DD and expect to live too long.

    I think that the shima saw your torpedoes and extrapolated possible directions from that. As for the Gdansk itself - I grinded the line and played 2 rounds in it. I found it very uncomfortable and the radar close to useless. I play a lot of Halland (specced for guns rather than torps) and outgun most Gdansks I encounter in random (I don't play in clan wars, and when there is a T10 ranked season I play only the Ohio :D)

    Mods are a good thing but they may cause some players to be at a disadvantage. I've been using aslain's mod for a few years and I'm using mods like navigator, max speed indicator and the forward, stop and reverse mods. I think the combination of a ship's max speed mod and the other one showing the acceleration of you target (the circle one) is an unfair advantage. However since it's so EASY to install mods with modstation or aslain's I don't think it's so unfair.

    For me it's because tier 10 and 11 carriers exist and to say Gdansk has poor AA is a compliment. Gdansk also has poor firing angles meaning if you want more than 2 turrets on target you have to show side and sometimes that means eating torpedoes if you're in a dd fight. I like the ship don't get me wrong but with those glaring issues I'd rather play something that can handle the matchmaker

    Well, with those Torps. The shima knew your cons and what you needed to do to compensate. Which is your detection radius. He knew he was spotted in the mid, and that you just hunted down his DD pal. So as you did, used the island to hide yourself and close for the middle. To deal with the Shima. The fact he just sent one torpedo salvo (if more were ready..), indicated to me he wasn't sure, but maybe could be lucky. So yeah, foresight on his part 😎

    Those mods are very strong, but also telling nothing the player doesn't know. The funnel stack, the water on the bow and stern, etc.

    Usually whoever plays the DD in competitive has a Smaland and nothing beats a Smaland. Its ridiculous how OP that thing is and I never understand why its not perma banned from clan battles. Alternatively you will see Marceau/Kleber for quick cap capture and ridiculous damage saturation or Somers which is the best allrounded solution but seems to be much rarer among the remaining "old "players than Smaland

    Honestly the ship is op just on paper and is really easy to counter and kill, unless you play it extremely methodically - which in current meta means very boring games - and the guns are for some reason less performing than moggy guns for me (maybe it's just i'm too used to fr dds aiming and never took the time to refine this one). Also I personally don't really like the way it handles and it's just so much more enjoyable for me to zip around in a kleber, or play a good ole daring aka the jukemaster :).

    Only reason I have it is because I landed the t9 in the first even bundle and just grinded to it through asym. Otherwise I royal suck with DDs and avoid them like the plague.

    It’s very squishy without the heal or French saturation, guess it has a higher skill floor than maybe a Marceau or the Russian gunboats, fun ships but I just explode too quickly… definitely a skill issue…

    I got the Split when this line was in early access. I then started working towards the Gdansk, and got stuck on the tier 9. I just kept dying and not being effective. So here we are a year later and I still don't have the Gdansk that I started going towards.

    Well these r french dds which have the bad things of french dds i.e turrets, turning time and lack the good things i.e the speed,the arcs ,the shell types,the saturation..now sure they would make it op but the bad stuff r mostly holding this line back ..u can't turn your guns in time your radar gets wasted u can't dodge your hp gets wasted those things

    i'm not a huge fan of gdansk for the various reasons you named in that video, but the lack of survivability (i mean no french saturation, ship is big and clumsy) is why i'm staying away from her, i'd rather play a smaland or even a standard gunboat. I'm discovering the green circle mod, might be a litle bit op, timer, navigator and smokes on the minimap tho seems ok to me, i've been using these for a long time.

    My problem with mods is; I got a virus. I had to reinstall my whole PC. So no more mods for me. Even not from Aslain. I loved them; the modifications allowing for better strategic decision making were very helpful. What instruments people are using and what builds they run. These things were great (today you can check it in the team menu). Adjustable maps. These were great. But viruses are not great.

    Whether you like or not but lack of AP does make a difference especially a close fight with a cruisers for example. Imagine a mino close range in kleber and than this ship.. I am sure you will end up killing mino in kleber with guns but not with this one. HE does have a guarantee damage but you still need some kind of alpha damage potential in broadsides scenarios. That is why elbing is seen more often even though it has poor he damage.

    In competitive, last kots I watched. The GDansk just get torped too easily. Too hard to dodge torps, some torps are just impossible to dodge because of the sheer size of the ship.

    back when i used to play the game i played a lot of DD and i often randomly torped them around corners of islands if i didn't have anything in range to torp and hit quite a few ships that way. now i can't speak for that shima but either he doesn't look at the minimap often, he stream sniped you or he just trying to get lucky i guess?

    I personally am not a huge fan of DDs with poor concealment. Yeah, I know it gets a smoke, but I find myself playing my DDs that have much better concealment than this. 6km concealment is kind of my cut off for what I personally look for in a DD.

    This ship sounds great on paper, and you can get some good games; however, it's just a very average dd in the end. You can't fight dd's with it, it's torps are...ok...not great, not bad. It's just average in every way. It's better than most all the older dd's...but, it's not as good as some of the recent dd's coming into the game, and they will just sail up and kill you. Guns are slow loading and very average. If this ship kills you with guns, you deserved to die. Radar is what....10 seconds? What can a dd with fairly slow loading guns do to another dd in 10 seconds?

    The torps aren't that sus, he could have seen your torps and guessed you were headed back north to the caps. It all comes down to when he spotted yours.

    Everyone knows smoke is a torp magnet, but so are coke points and funnels near a cap. Especially in a dd that can spam torps you randomly torp near corners at a choke points

    Yeah. Grinding thru to my Gdansk. Working tier IX. Painful. Yes, difficult line. So far, underwhelming guns, you won't win many knife fights. The radar is cool but short duration. In random, don't expect your teammates to be quick enough to support your radar spots. Get caught out or surprised by radar cruisers or hydro and you will get chopped up. The torps are just okay. Positioning and patience. Surviving until late game and trying to burn down battleships. I get blind fired to death alot in smoke. They getting good at it. If it's mods helping them those mods are bs to me. I don't use mods, maybe I better start. Difficult DD but still grinding Gdansk. Good games in the line are rare but rewarding. Following seas!

    Was a likely spot based you you guys pushing the cap. Especially as you only saw one set, the others might have been around the other sides of islands. He also had no other targets close by. Almost never see one in ranked on SEA.

    Some mods cause the game to crash, especially the new ones. So using them it’s on your responsibility. I don’t think you would like the game to crash by default because of those mods. Those who use the mods they are also testing them so they won’t make issues in the future to be integrated in the game. You can see how the game looked liked in the past in old Jingles vids. Most of those features on minimap and smoke timer, smoke boundaries - all these were mods. Even the dmg counter was a mod, the potential dmg and spotting dmg counters.

    RPF would be waist of CDR points, esp on a gun bote. Play with concealment expert if you want a better advantage vs low detect DDs. Otherwise, rely on your experience to know where other DDs are. Again, only an opinion. I generally only play Gdansk in ranked.

    It has extremely poor firing angles at 43/44 angle to fire all guns, so kiting or chasing is done extremely poorly, in a straight up gunfight it would lose vs some people who can make themselves very thin

    i mean i see it a fair bit but i think the fact that it dosent have ap despite most people not knowing what that even does puts them off or something , for me i like playing more extreme ships in their own way like the vampire or something like that gdansk just seems like a discounted ragnar to me so why wont i just play the ragnar?
