Why doesn't Return To Home work in iNav?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If you're new to iNav, there may be something in the Configurator that has you confused. You get everything set up, but then look at the modes page. You put your mode switch to manual, and it lights up blue. Next up, Angle or Horizon, and they turn blue too. Then you try RTH, but nothing happens. Is something wrong? Will it not work? Do I need to change a setting? Check out this video to find out. This will be the same for most navigation flight modes.

True, so maybe blue and green would be better. Most of the time the issue is simply that the plane isn’t flying. Either way, an indicator of some sorts would be beneficial.

Hello, thank you for the useful video! I have one question, what is considered zero in the altitude settings? Sea level or the home point altitude? Because if one is flying on mountains where the home altitude is already 200-300m above sea level things get confusing, thanks in advance!

The altitude and hone point are set when you first arm. That is the altitude used and displayed in the stabilisation OSD Altitude. There is also an MSL Altitude that can be used in the OSD.

You won’t find many FCs with compasses. They’re usually in the GPS module and connect to the flight controller via the I2C bus. But, it doesn’t look like the Radix FC has I2C pads.

@@AErefrigeration it still sounds like you don’t have the GPS set up correctly. That option is always on the failsafe page, and I’m sure you can add those OSD elements without a GPS too. But the modes page is more picky. The fact the failsafe is landing rather than RTH also says to me the GPS is not set up. You shouldn’t use the Failsafe switch for RTH, it’s just to test the failsafe procedure. Have you checked the ports page and that the GPS is at least enabled on the configuration page?
