Well done as always! This neat trick has of course been used before, there's nothing new under the sun. In one iteration it was used to provide 2 speeds. With different sprocket ratios, forwards and backwards pedalling gives different speeds. One thing this bike CAN'T do is roll backwards. If you try to do that, the rear wheel will try to drive the cranks in both directions at once, and it locks up.

are you familiar with fixed gear bikes?, while it requires contant pedaling, it can go backwards

The bike CAN roll backwards, as the freewheels are both oriented in the same rotational direction.

@@mrmarmolerox Yep, I've got a fixie. Tried a bit of backwards riding years ago, but got just a few meters. Not as easy as some people make it look...
Neat, zero one made a little device that turns 1 direction regardless of which way you turned the input shaft,it used eccentrics and 1 way bearings, they were used in the sewing industry

In this video we learnt that a less beefy frame support between fornt and rear sprocket can also work and sustain the rigidity of bike.

This guy makes bike designs that will last long enough to film the last minute of the video. I don't think he's pretending that any of his designs are at all practical!
Слишком усложнил. Есть такая система, использовалась на велосипедах начала 20 века, там одна длиннющая цепь через натяжной ролик дважды обматывает 2 задние звезды разного диаметра, а спереди стоит одна звезда. Крутишь педали вперёд - едешь быстро по ровной дороге или под гору, начинаешь крутить назад - можно ехать в горку на понижайке, поскольку две задние звезды точно также как на этом видео сварены между собой, но свободным ходом в противоположные стороны.

That's a smart desing to use 2 chains. And I sea a second advantage. In case 1 chain breaks you can get home or a bike-shop to get a new chain.
