Too much construction to your life creates brittle points where order fails you. I enjoyed it. Please remember to lift with your legs when handling those bigger household cleanups. If you have to fly to see movies, you want to protect your spine.

I love all your videos, no matter the topic or content. I remember going to watch See How They Run in theaters last year and loved it and was shocked that not even a couple weeks after its entry into theaters it was just as quickly taken out and not even put on the popular streaming sites or DVD. I couldn't find it anywhere to save my life but it was SO good. I don't know why it didn't get as much love or why it pretty much disappeared off the planet, but it just came to mind when you mentioned how some movies don't get a wide release and slip under the radar just because they don't make it to Barbie status.

Ugh, it was excellent. I was so happy to see a new Fincher film pop up. Fassbender really did the damn thing and I really enjoyed the soundtrack. That little snippet of Portishead had me on the edge of my seat and then you find the house empty. So good. When he buys the items in Florida you knew exactly what he was doing and I found it endearing that he wouldn’t hurt the dog. Made me think he really did care about the girlfriend.

The twitch at the end may also imply that somewhere along the path of revenge - most likely from sharing a drink with The Expert, he ingested a chemical that would lead to facial necrosis, and his slow death. This was foreshadowed throughout the film, even showing a coffee being made at the end- just after threatening Claymore with killing him in that same manner. Great detail.

Ya, I can’t imagine watching Titanic for the first 13 times I saw it in theaters, at home. There’s just something about watching a movie in theaters. The coming attractions, the sharing of emotions with your fellow watchers, the smell & sound of people eating popcorn. And then walking out of the dark, into the light changed, sometimes forever by what you just watched. It really is a magical experience.

I still remember being the little sister, tagging along on my brother's movie date. Right at the scene where Jack/Leo appears all cleaned up, the projector overheated. The image froze on his face/shoulders, then we saw it bubble & melt apart on the screen. This happened twice. Not a bad time.

Didn't expect The Killer to be the film that got Amanda to fly over to watch, but glad you did. This film felt refreshing despite how monotone it is. You get invested in the killer's methods and self lies only to see him lose control more often than not. Did not realize that twitch in the end though, that changes so many things.

I really didn't enjoy this movie. Not only was the film dull, but there was no tension, the plot was pretty uneventful, and I found it impossible to root for Michael Fassbender's character. He was an amoral psychopath who murders innocent people, has messed up principles and his motivations for revenge were weak and hypocritical. It didn't feel like he was righting a wrong or going on some moral crusade, after the fallout of him botching his latest job. He just felt like murdering the people who hurt someone he cared about, while completely missing the irony that he kills people for a living. I slogged through two hours of bland screenwriting, hoping that by the end of it all he will get his comeuppance. But it never happened. Instead, after leaving behind a trail of bodies, he and his girlfriend get to live happily ever after.

I actually think he'll commit to his life in retirement. It's his world view, that the Few are the only ones suited to life as an assassin like him, and the events of this movie have shown him that he's actually one of the Many because he got emotionally involved in something he seems to think must remain robotic. So rather than reconsider his world view, he quits. The eye-twitch at the end shows that he hates it, but I really think he would go through with it

  • @garyking1986

    @garyking1986

I love Amanda's analysis, but I disagree regarding him entirely being a sociopath who only enjoys killing. I think the eye twitch shows that he is struggling to finally settle down, but the fact that he does finally close his eyes after demonstrates that he is willing to retire. The only other time his eye twitches, if I remember correctly, is when the secretary pleads for her life. Therefore, the twitch isn't a sign of him desiring to kill again, but his vulnerability. His eye twitches at the end because, as much as he likes to think that he can have a career as an assassin and then easily quit, he is more affected by the events of the film than he'd care to admit.

I loved this film. Fincher’s camera and Fassbender’s acting had me locked in from the first shot to the last. It’s not the groundbreaking event of a Seven or Fight Club, but that’s fine. It’s just Fincher practicing and perfecting his craft, that alone makes it better than like 90% of the films we got this year.

Im not particularly well versed in Fincher movies, so i presume that plays a role in my opinion. Ive seen zodiac and now this film. The meditative nature of the way Fincher depicts mundane tasks, keeping the step by step integrity, is almost oddly comforting. However, i didnt enjoy watching the killer. Quite honestly i think its just not a movie for me. I just didnt connect to it, which is a shame. It looked good tho

I'm pretty sure reading *365 Days* and its sequels is worse than *The Human Centipede*, but what do I know...

Shockingly no! In terms of reading the worst things are the first Fifty Shades book and the 3rd After book. But Human Centipede is the only thing I've ever had to take a break when watching for risk of getting sick

Girl, you’re fine. Me and my husband drove from Quebec City to Montreal in the winter to go and see Super Troopers 2, which is a hilarious film to watch in Quebec.

I used to read the comics in my library, but never got the end cuz they stopped adding new issues. Somehow I don't recognize the story in this. Like... his girlfriend had a son. And they lived in the rain forest. And he got involved with a cartell... And he erased multiple people sent to end him. And a nun. I'm confused. I might watch it, but guess it just shares the title and is loosely based on the comic.

Very enjoyable production on this vid, ma'am. The under-the-chin camera angle rarely works in people's favor, however it does flatter you. 👍🏻

If anything it can feel amazing seeing something in theaters or events that are limited time.

When the map of Canada came up I thought to myself “what part of America is that?” And then say in my shame for a good 5 minutes because that is the most American shit I’ve ever thought in my life 😭

I love this movie. I am so happy to hear I am not the only one that found it funny in a bunch of places. Especially when he nail guns the lawyer and he dies too quickly or when he snaps the secretary kneck at the top of the stairs.😂
