for me it was the safe overloads. overruns were already at 0 but still had clicks. turning off safe overloads got rid of it. edit: they're still there on the export though, what's with that ?

thanks you for it ! For a reason that I cant explain the clipping noise for me is way more important if I reduce buffer lengh and totally disappear at 110ms (4848smp) which is less confortable for rec play Got that reversed help lol thanks from France ;)

Very helpful video! Perhaps you could help me understand why my vocal tracks playback silence for 2-5 sec at random times? I’ve used the same routine and setup for ages but today when I recorded a new song with vocals as I usually do, the playback would insert silence then play the recorded vocal as if there was no issue. Export does the same. I could have silence starting at one point for a few moments then after export, somewhere else completely different. Again, great video!

Probably a plug-in in demo mode.

The first step fixed everything XD Edit : made The spectre NCS remake on trial version using stock plugins and some presets thank god the export was lagging too but it fixed

Hello, I have an issue. My FL Studio is rendering at a low volume.. what do I do??

I did all this with no change BUT 1. Used CCleaner to clean my registry up (save a backup!) 2. Restarted my computer 3. Reopened FL with the settings he recommended 4. Checked my plugins... View > Plugin Performance Monitor After that it was fixed. Idk which step did it or why but I hope that helps someone else! And thanks for the video 😊

What if you’re getting the crackling sound AFTER you export the track ? That’s the issue I’m having. My sessions sound perfect but when I export the track there is tons of static and noise. What should I do ?

Mute all but 1 thing an see if it happens. If not test by adding them back till you find what’s causing it.

Restart FL after. It’s likely your audio interface can’t sync up once it’s changed.

for me, the device for audio output was set to fl asio, so i just switched it to my headphones and it sounds wayyy better

Possibly a plugin crashing. if the underruns just keep going up an up. Difficult to guess though.

yeah that happens with antares, you can try to use a declicker afterwards or you can just use newtone or melodyne

I’ve had this happen after an update to FL studio. Scanning the folder again seems to have fixed it in the passed.

Something happens to me sometimes when I reverse and change the timing of a rim or high hat and this weird radio noise will play at random parts of the song even when rendered. Very strange issue I can't seem to fix.

@@zareen7215 no? What happens is when I open a big plugin all the sound goes like that then what I do is set mic input 1 on and off and it works. As well as changing projects, the sound is on silent, until I set mic input 1 on and off, idk man it might just be my interface

When I'm recording there's a shhhhhhhhhhhh sound, when I playback the recorded vocals I still hear the sound so annoying but I recorded in a quiet room

Never had this issue. Update to FL Studio 21 and now suddenly plugins that never caused crackling (KONTAKT > ALICIA'S KEYS) are crackling as I play. Not badly, but enough to where it bugs me. It's not every time I press a key either. I can play for 10 seconds or more without crackling and then it will randomly crackle a bit and then it's fine again until it does it again randomly between 5-30 seconds of playing. This isn't some shit PC either! I also am more than familiar with buffer settings in the control panel of FL Studio etc. I'm using my Focusrite 2i2 Audio Interface and I've had some troubles with it in the past, but haven't had any crackling or audio issues for a couple years now. I was also working on music all week with FL 20 without any problems whatsoever. As soon as I update to FL 21 the issue presents itself. I'm assuming it's because there's something enabled or some kind of setting was changed upon updating to 21. Any ideas? Also.. it's not because I've loaded too many VSTs/plugins into this project either! I'm only using Alicia's Keys by itself without anything else added to the project. It's a brand new project with only Kontakt > Alicia's Keys open. Nothing else!

make sure the latency is set to a value like 64,128,256 etc sometimes the clocks can be a sync issue.

@@Unders Seems like it's only happening with Alicia's keys. The problem isn't happening with any of the other plugins/vst's that I use.
