Thank you so much. I have encountered this but there's a clear way you explained the walking presser foot that I have not heard before. God bless you.

Glad it helped! 💕😊
Thank you so much! I was making placemats and they ended up so wonky. I am going to do another batch using the this method and the other things I learned from my first attempt. It was only my second project so I’m proud of myself for trying and completing even though I was very discouraged they weren’t “perfect”

I tried walking foot. Results aren't as great as it claims. Especially when sewing 2 or more layers, it still has the tendency to shift in layers, resulting some fabric at the bottom not sewn. I may have to try the slight pulling technique you shown.

Thanks for sharing! interesting about walking foot.. I’ve never tried one before! it gets tricky when you sew multiple layers…
Thank you for a well-done tutorial! I'm sewing a long caftan in a silky-polyester fabric. It's quite daunting sewing with shifting fabrics and the very real possibility of losing accuracy in any part of the garment's construction.

Thanks for watching the video! Silky polyester fabric must be a nightmare to sew… hope everything goes smoothly with your project 😊🌷
I don't normally have this problem, but then I most normally pin before I sew.

Even when I pin, still have the issue.
Finalmente, creí que mi máquina tenia problemas😢
Good advice, but you had a horizontal seam in the 2nd gray example that would keep the ends even...why?

I didn’t have a horizontal seam on the 2nd example, so I rewatched the video… maybe the crease in the fabric looked like a seam…?
This isn’t my problem my problem is that it doesn’t matter what material fabric I use it doesn’t move and it’s very difficult to maneuver. I have to sew at a super hard fast pace for it to even make a stitch and it’s not even a straight line ughh please someone help
What about when stitching two layers that have been cut on the bias? Thanks.

That’s a good question! I would probably hand-baste them to be extra precise ☺️
How about when the fabric shifts left or right? Especially when sewing a small inseam?
@SachisStudio

If you hold the two layers of fabric firmly and stretch slightly like shown in this video, shifting should be minimal… but that depends on the fabric. if it’s super slippery like silk chiffon, or has naps like corduroy, shifting happens and there’re different ways to handle them :)

Thank you for commenting and suggesting a video idea :) but I’m not sure how to go about making a video on an electronic foot pedal… I usually just follow user’s guide booklet. I’m sorry I cannot be much help😭
