As a Remco fan, I have my doubts too for the TDF. Especially in the high mountain stages, there are a few riders better. Jonas, Tadja, Roglic. However maybe Remco improved??? Remco said himself top 3 is his ambition for this TDF. If Remco stays well, he's not going to crack, like he did in the Vuelta 2023 for sure. He's just a pleasure to watch. Arriving solo and how... Just spectacular. I do not think that Lance hates Remco, but rather envies Remco's pure talent and work ethics.

Right now Id still have to go Jonas Pogi Roglic With the Way Remco looked at the Vuelta I still wouldnt be too confident. Now u have more ITT Ks. 2 of them, 59 Ks overall but Im still not too confident. Maybe he can battle with Roglic for 3rd.. unless Roglic just crashes out again.

​​@@telmolicious the 2024 TDF remco version will probably be very different than the 2023 Vuelta Remco... in 2023, Remco end of the season goal was to become ITT world champion, which requires to pile up some muscle, and not to win the Vuelta. 2024 Remco will probably be leaner, if not a lot more leaner.

WVA is going to the Giro so he won't be there if MVDP is there it's just for a couple stage wins and as the super domestic lead out monster for his teammate.

He's got to lose some weight (muscle), while keeping (if not increasing) his power output.

I think, top five. I love. Renco and can’t stand Jonas and his cronies but I think it’ll be a bridge too far for him. Too heavy in the legs.

I wanna say no he won’t, but I don’t underestimate Remco. He can TT, he’s a very good climber, but….. look what happened to Pogacar the last 2 years. To beat Jonas, you’ll need to take big risks, and if a big risk fails…. Remco could lose, and lose big. I think top 10 would be good. Maybe just outside top 10 likely.

Where you missed out is that almost all the top 15 in the Tdf’s of that time we’re also dopped! Slot of them did it and yet people think he was the only one doing it. I’m not excusing his behavior because his behavior was absolute disgusting to people, and I feel for the people that affected by his cruel behavior. But at the end of the day, not just him, but a lot of others or fully doping.

I’ve rather sadistically enjoyed every one of your videos, even when I’ve just been a cycling fan these past 4 years. I ‘REALLY’ want to believe these guys aren’t cheating, but alas, when most winners cross the line and can give an in-depth 10min interview without taking an extra breath, it’s hard to accept without at least a second thought.

@@cyclinghighlights having raced for 25 years I have many I can call friends or acquaintances, it's quite literally one of the hardest most physically demanding and as of the early 2000s all consuming profession's on the planet. The level of commitment so far exceed the level of compensation. Your career or life for that matter can be over in an instant. The dietary demands alone as ridiculous then training and travel, time away from family and for what. The TDF biggest race in the world viewed by an estimated audience of 32 BILLION globally pays the winner 500k€ 🤷🏻

BBC article that says they don't believe that number as they can't find proof eurosport helps a lot in terms of viewership and with their app in countries that cycling isn't a thing romania is paralel with cycling i wasn't a cycling fan at all,eurosport romania in 1997 was showing tdf all day long,4 hours in the morning replay then live every stage before fake and real start people change channels but if you as eurosport romania give 10 hours or more of tdf for 3 weeks,you make few millions of romanians to watch 1 minute of tdf in 3 weeks today eurosport romania give some stages in full,some not(weekend stages) also in the last years,the romanian commentators in the big tours talk a lot about places the stage visiting,they tell stories about these places,what famous people lived or born there,what is famous there like winery or cheese making,give a local recipe,so a small minority of romanian viewers aren't really cycling fans but are more interested about "vlog" part

@@whistlerrealestate1 Well Roglic crashed out partly because of the all-out attack he was doing because he needed to make up time against Evenepoel. I mean, he was on 1m26 still, even after 2 mountain stages where Evenepoel couldn't go 100% because of a previous crash. Gifted is a bit strong imo.

I used to be a fan of the Lone*Star/Leg^Strong powerhouse, ' cause everyone doped at the time. But to pick on the @bullet? he can't be bullied, it's just envy. The kid has done what he would have done if he had not doped

Remco is a very agressiv rider in a positiv sense . There arent so many pro riders attacking in most races and once he gets away hardly to catch . He does a lot for the attraction in cycling sport as well as Van der Poel and Pidcock do . LA was loved by the fans…totally disagree with that assessment! He was the greatest “doper cyclist” ever like it or not. No one will win 7 TDF’s in a row again. There were many in the peloton who doped to try and beat LA, pretty much all of his contenders during that era of pro cycling. I still believe they are doping and masking it very well, if not using e-bikes with hidden motors and batteries. No way they ride up those mountains that’s fast without some sort of “bodily aid”.

I disagree. Maybe he was loved in the US, mostly because of his personal story of battling cancer. That resonated with many. But on the road, in Europe especially, he wasn’t that much loved, at least in his earlier victories. He was perceived as cold and distant, somewhat in the same manner (or even more) as Jonas Vingegaard was (or still is for some).

Because Lance said he thinks he won't win the Tour doesn't mean he hates him. Why take that so out of context? I love Evenpoel but I happen to agree. He has tremendous power but can't sustain it at high altitude over three weeks. He got smoked by all the contenders in the Vuelta. He should have a strong first week, along with Pogacar but he's going to get hammered in his first Tour. I'm happy to be wrong here, as i'm wanting Pogacar or Evenpoel to break the Jumbo dynasty.

Sick of hearing that Evanpoel cracked at the Vuelta last year. He was outnumbered and outgunned by Jumbo. He had to fall out of the GC. rankings so he could ride for stage wins which he did and was impressive in many of those stages. He will contend at this years TDF barring in major injuries
