Why does God allow wars and suffering? | Voice of Saint Sophrony the Athonite (✝ July 11th)

Learn from St. Sophrony the Athonite about why God allows suffering (+July 11, 1993). This talk covers the role of faith, the importance of prayer, and the meaning behind enduring difficult times. "And the Lord rejoices when we pray for the suffering, but He delays in coming to heal. Why? Because He can do everything. He says: 'Do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more; but fear Him who, after killing the body, has the power to punish' (see Matthew 10:28). This means that He can raise us up in greater glory even after our killing and death."

sure bennitok i prayed for you, want to tell you about a prayer i found working, i did have similar problems. "Heavenly father, please free me from any connection with demons and the enemy, and also from their works. Please lead me to the forgiveness of my sins and debts. Please teach me all i need to understand to be free from demonic influences again." You will get holyer in time, try to make praying your dayly habbit. Holy father is your strongest allie when it comes to overcoming the demonic and developing holyness. May you be blessed.

Hi Klaus, Wonderful to see you here. We met in 2014 in Leuven at an Orthodox Conference. I bought your book “Born to Hate, Reborn to Love” that time and recommend everyone here to read it. I think it was even recommended by Father Spyridon in one of his latest videos, whose videos I watch frequently and are beneficial to us. Nice to meet you once more in this comment section. Glory to God for all things! Amin.

Good speech but something has to be said about the present heretical Patriarch of Constantinople and the failure of the Essex monastery to condemn this evil.
