    @@ShadowWizard123 the smoothness of his swing made the monster shots he hit look effortless. Griffey was deceptively strong. He always wore long sleeves, so you never saw just how big his arms were.

    the best thing about the warehouse is that all the men's rooms face the field and all the ladies rooms face howard street. Also knowing what the field looks like from the 4th floor of the warehouse it is so much further away than it looks.

    Having lived in Maryland at the time Camden Yards was being built, I recall someone saying that they initially thought that the field was going to be closer than what the final field wound up being, hence the spending spree on making the windows shatterproof.

    As someone from Baltimore I love these. Been to Camden many many times. I was at Cal Ripken's streak week. I remember seeing the Ken Griffy hit as a kid and he'll always been a monster in my eyes as a player. One of the best.

    I'd like to point out that glass with the shatterproof coating will still break, it's just that pieces won't go flying. You'd get a nice spiderweb crack, looks good on TV.

    In all fairness, Glenallen Hill put one on top of the Wrigley rooftops. Had he been a left handed batter, where would that have hit? -launch angle 33.2 degrees, exit velocity 111.5 miles per hour, max height 118 feet, total distance 495 feet.

    Another aspect of this equation I haven't yet seen factored in is one that the Orioles tour guides themselves mention: that supposedly, the Eutaw Street space between the warehouse and the stadium itself is narrow enough to create a wind tunnel effect, meaning that balls which clear the flag court have their momentum killed by the wind and die on Eutaw Street before they would ever reach the warehouse.

    Those first three rows of windows may be out of reach of a batter, but they are within reach of fans throwing things from the street below, so the coating is probably a good idea for that factor alone.

    now its time for a science angled channel with the resources to test this, I have a gut feeling that even if someone was roided up enough to smack hard enough to send a ball 690ft that either the bat or ball would come apart before enough energy had been transferred. Sluggers have already busted bats and balls when homering normal distances.
