Hey all, thanks for the engagement on this video! With it being my first I'm super happy to see 1k views in the first 20 days! Correction: Something that I didn't catch until I uploaded was me incorrectly referring to *Nigerian Jollof* as Jamaican. A regretable script mistake I meant to correct, then completely overlooked. I am new to this so I'll be making quite a few more mistakes down the road I'm sure. Thanks for being here!

It’s Sad How This Series Had No Growth, Just Take Little Things From The Past & Make It A Series Like “Crank Dat Dance & Tyler Perry” I Expected More From This Show 🤷🏽♂️
I like that Glover isn't spoon feeding the audience how they should feel about things or what they should think, he's presenting a complex world that can't be easily judged.

Season three feels disturbing and from time to time almost like a horror movie without any actual horror but still has the wierd athmosphere and humor it always had. As a younger viewer and also for the more unknowing or unaware watchers it always feels like anything could happen, and you never know what’s gonna happen in 20 seconds, 2 minutes or in the next episode. A perfect season for a perfect show.

@@burdrchitect1680 I like Season 3, but the final Episode of Season 1 when Earn is walking to his storage Locker and he starts listening to 'Elevators' man it his me big time, he captured that moment so well to the perfect soundtrack. I was hoping to have more moments like that, when Earn has a break through and makes the right choice where there is a moments reprieve for his character and he is more grounded. Ironically in that moment he played the lyrics 'I've got more fans than the average man but not enough loot to last me, to the end of the week I live by the beat like you live to cheque to cheque' like Earns living on the bones of his arse trying to make it in the music industry.

I didn't like it when it first came out and when I was waiting for a new episode every week, and it is still my least favorite season of the show but after rewatching every episode back to back without having to wait, I enjoyed season 3 a lot more, and I enjoy it even more now after learning about some stuff in this video. I still think s1,2 and 4 are superior though.
Honestly I really enjoyed the anthology episodes and wasn't that into the main cast ones since they felt kind of lacking, except for Van's because I liked how they dealt with the mental health element. S3 really made me feel like Glover should have done that Twilight Zone reboot because I feel he nailed the atmosphere and storytelling, and I'm hoping he does something similar in the future.

@@winstonrathey1461 The new twilight zone is pretty bad tbh. It lacked subtlety, and the twilight zone-y aspects weren’t inventive or memorable. It really wasn’t thought-provoking either, mainly because it picked topics that are discussed in a million other forms of media already (e.g. doing an episode on racist cops isn’t too impactful considering I can see actual, REAL LIFE racist cops on the news every day doing messed up things). On the other hand, a topic like reparations hasn’t really been depicted before. Sure, it’s talked about and debated on TV once in awhile, but I don’t know of any visual depictions of it or narratives/stories that center around it. That’s why the episode about it in Atlanta works so well. It’s more cutting edge and memorable than whatever the new twilight zone attempted to do.

I miss the old Atlanta honestly. This season was fantastic but he really could have just created a new show and 100% gotten greenlit if he wanted to do an anthology series about the black experience. I just don't see why they put it under the atlanta title and didnt have a single episode feature the title card at all. It wasn't Atlanta. Was an amazing show and a work of art though.

As a black man... I have had dreams like that! When u see messed up stories sometimes they work their way into your dreams. Just a way of coping with crazies in the world. Happy the actors could express that on screen. Never heard of this show thanks 😁👍🏿
This season’s my favorite tbh. Donald Glover said he wanted the show to be like Twin Peaks in terms of pacing and magic realism and this season perfectly captures that compared to the past two. Feels true-to-form rather than disconnected imo. I feel like ppl are disappointed by it bc they got used to the pacing and more in your face surrealism in season’s 1 and 2 but that’s jus because the writer’s hadn’t yet nailed down exactly what they were trying to do until now.

Loved it! The sinterclaus episode definitely taught me something, and that New Jazz episode was great.
For me the differences between Season 1 and 2 are noticeable but the difference between Season 2 and 3 are drastic. I really enjoyed Season 3 cuz it was the 1st time I watched Atlanta with my mom. As I tried to explain the show's dynamic and normal flow the show kept throwing us curveballs and that was really cool. It kept me from being able to predict or see the ending coming and it was refreshing to just be like dafuq just happened?! Are they eating that?! Did she really just do that?! All in all it was just a different vibe this go round and for my taste thats a wonderful thing.

Aww thanks! Appreciate the comment.
Here's a new hot take on Sesson 3. It hits different because it's an Addendum to Season 2. It takes the bizarre of season 1 and expands on it as well. It goes into Afro Surrealism. One KZreadr stated that the characters know something is wrong. Its further emphasized by the first scene of the season with the black man something doesn't seem right. Think of the beginning of each season is the start of a thesis and the end is a "Well, what have we learned?" Season 3 ends in a bizarre sour note taking its own formula and turning it on its head. But you can say "Rich Wigga Poor Wigga" can be the "What have we learned." Moment with Aaron literally giving us the audience a glance. To wrap up the season. But at the same time it erupts Van's character as an addendum to "Helen" and "Champaign Papi." We also have to realize that some of these anthologies weren't all dreams. They happened. It leaves the question "What state will Georgia be in when they return?" Remember that this world is different where Donald Glover exists as a seperate entity than Earn, Justin Bieber is black, Michael Vick, races people outside of clubs as a hustle, and invisible cars exist. Most importantly season 3 is Wish fulfillment.
Love it glad u did this I tried explaining to my gf about the topics of episodes as we watched them and it basically fell on death ears but this will help educate much appreciated

Thank You for this bro. I'll watch this show now. I've seen about 5 episodes all together. This is genius 💎
I think we saw a lot of progression in the characters of the show. We see their friendships evolve without losing loyalty. It exposes the come up and bribing of selling out to the culture in the journey of a rapper and his/her friends. This has happened to so many rappers. This ser toies exposes everything people turn a blind eye to
