Why Do White People Adopt Black Children?

Ойын-сауық

In all honesty, the answer is a lot simpler than you think it is. Either encourage more people of colour to adopt or just shut up about it! Geez… 🙄

Why don’t Black people adopt Black children? My sister adopted 4 biracial children who were in need of a loving home. I find people criticizing actions that are overwhelmingly positive, offensive and narcissistic.

I mean unfortunately there are way too many children in the foster care system and adoption system who right now do not have the love and care they deserve because their parents, for whatever reason, could not give it to them. If there are families, regardless of their skin color being the same or not, if they’re being given love and care and an environment to be the best person they can be, why is that a problem? Yes obviously some tough conversations will have to be had but at the core, if the child is receiving love and stability, then that is what matters.

  • @anniehope8651

    @anniehope8651

    23 күн бұрын

Totally agree. And if these children grow up to be stable, skilled human beings because of the stable loving family they grew up in, and they are not 'underprivileged' (hate that word, but okay), then any racial issue will bother them much less. They know what they're worth anyway. They know they are loved. That's way more important than any racial lessons others might be able to give. People who grew up in the system and never had much to show for, who have low self confidence, will be much more vulnerable if they ever encounter racial injustice.

Unfortunately some children are difficult to love than others, irrespective of skin I think difficult temperament and personality or hot headedness affects kids n youth of all races. I have 3 kids myself and one of them is very hostile and rambunctious towards me and the mother though I try not to go overboard wit the authority and discipline. Must be even harder with an adopted child of another race. Children and youth also pass through idiotic phases. Anyways I'm sure you guys will chart out way forward, but I feel sad for your struggle despite choosing to sacrifice and love the child.

Why do Americans always make it all about race and nationality? I know personally two couples that adopted children from different nationality and colour than they are (one Slavic family that adopted a black kid and other Slavic family that adopted a Chinese baby) and no one had any problem with that in our country. It feels so weird that all things that are considered normal and no one would make about race or nation in your country are suddenly controversy and cultural debate in the US. Maybe just focus on the fact that there are A LOT of babies of all colors who need loving homes?

To answer your question, its because our political system has devolved into identity politics and racebaiting is used all the time to distract people, create division, and pave the way for a sociality/communist society. The dumbing down of the population has been ongoing for decades and decades. I recall, when I was a child some 40 years ago, the USA was among the highest standards of living in the world and was among the top in many metrics. That isn't the case these days. Most Americans don't make their lives about skin color, etc. It's all MSM and the woke agenda trying to shove it down everyone's throat. You'll see this sort of bickering back in forth in the comments, but its not quite like that in the real world, other than the big liberal cities if anywhere. Things certainly weren't like this when I was growing up.

Kids are not "black kids", "white kids" or "asian kids", they're just KIDS. They weren't filled with racism and stupid social expectations yet so it doesn't matter what colour they are as long as their adoptive parents give them a happy life. It's a loaded question. There is no single or correct answer. My hope is that children adopted by families of a different race/culture are allowed and encouraged to learn about and participate in their birth culture. White parents need to be especially aware that their black sons will experience all the same prejudice experienced by any young black man in the US. All children deserve loving, safe homes with families who will protect and educate them. Race shouldn't be a deciding factor in who can adopt or be adopted, but families need to be conscious of how the world beyond their family may act toward their children. All parents should be making sure that home is a safe refuge from the bad things some people say and do. All parents should be working to raise emotionally sound children who know who they are, can be proud of themselves and know that there are always certain people they can count on to help when things go wrong.

Why yes, of course it is far better to leave black kids in the foster care system until they age out at 18, because there are few black parents who want to adopt black kids. Not knowing how to twerk or do black hair should disqualify all white parents, everyone knows that

You mean spay and neuter their pets? You do understand that a dog or cat isn't a human child, don't you? That is zero to do with people of one colour adopting kids of another colour. Skin colour is superficial. It is other humans that make it an issue.

My cousin, who is a single successful African American nurse in her early 50s tried to adopt a child who was in NICU and she was denied adoption, yet a young Caucasian woman was able to adopt a child and she was single as well. So, please do not say that there are not African-Americans who won't adopt because there are, but they are denied adoption rights in some cases.

Sorry to break it to you buddy but the adoption programs are extremely rigorous and do background checks, psych check etc. she probably failed a test. It’s that simple, white people are denied to and like the guy says in video most foster have white kids as majority… meaning parents had to give up for some reason…

He's not saying there aren't African Americans that don't adopt. He's saying that the pool of them isn't that big. Listen to his words carefully. And yes they do thorough background checks and the procedure is usually in this order 1: they will find relatives of the child first to see if they will. If they can find any. 2: they will try to match them with families of the same race or ethnicity. 3: if all that fails then it becomes an open door for anyone who applies

@@onlyfoesthere's no denying reality in USA. Even though 2nd step is part of it, it eventually boils down to getting the children in loving homes that will take care of them in the end because that's better than no home. And those state run foster homes are ruthless. If the try to pair the child with a family of the same race and it's been years and they can't find one or one won't adopt them. Who is that on? It isn't a match them correct or let them suffer. The mercenary mentality isn't necessary in their case, there's no need to harden them, let them be kids

Her comments make more sense if you listen to them in whole. Her point is, white parents of black children will have to address the issue of race at some point. And she suggests that parents get their adopted black children in therapy. Instead, I think white parents should tell their adopted black children, skin color is not important and doesn’t tell us anything about who you are. Race is something people madd up. But in reality, all humans are the same species and there are no subspecies of humans. People build families with people they love and care about. People build communities with people they cooperate with. And skin color is not important when who you choose to love or cooperate with. But there are people in the world who think skin color is important or that people with a certain skin color share a common culture or identity, that people should be divided by skin color, and that people should live only with other who have the same skin color. We don’t have to listen to those people. They are wrong. They are not important and we can ignore them.

There's much more to life than race. If that is the only thing the adoptive parents can not fully help their children with, they still are great parents. At least better than most of the options that were available. There are so many other things that children need. If they have all their other needs met, then their race matters less anyway. Like if you're doing well at school, because your adoptive parents brought you up well, can have enough self confidence to not let any racial matter bother you. So parents can prepare their children for racial issues in different ways. Not just by being of the same race. Also, maybe you should tell this to all these mixed raced children of white mothers with absent black fathers. What about their racial issues? Please go and blame the right people.

Plenty of clips here on KZread from interracial adoptees will confirm this. This host also makes a huge assumption that these children are adopted into loving homes that are totally race free. The ignorance is stunning!

No you're clueless while the truth is interracial adoption does have it's cons but the real question is why do these children need to be adopted in the first place children have to be adopted that's the first problem so should they stay familyless and the majority of people who adopt children are white so unless people raise their own children more or more blacks get into adopting what's other options do we have

A lot of them also use it as a chance to be as racist as they want without repercussions. Imagine the suffering these children endure. Most are returned to the orphanage damaged.

Every parent can be abusive, but I have only seen cases of adoptive parents being abusive to white children. I believe that are people that use children to be racists, but they will not adopt anyone, say that everyone that is adopting is using this to be racist show what type of person that you are. If white couples didn't adopt, you would say that they are racists,if they adopt is because they want to be racists and is bad. Our?means that you are black,so why aren't black people adopting?why aren't you adopting if you care so much? I don't know what you mean by curiosity, because black people aren't rare,if they have curiosity they would try to know someone black, instead of adopting that means a lot of work,it's more easy, fast and simple try to meet someone black, that is what people usually do,also ,no racist person will adopt someone black unless that there is something to gain, believe me.
