Y’all all got me sweating 😅 I’m glad I’m not the only one with no bars. Called the IRS and the gentleman said their were no mistakes & they waiting on a refund date. He also said the week of the 27. Keep checking or call our bank cards. Hopefully we’ll all be getting ours.

@Shae Luv I checked my tax transcript and it shows an issue date of next week.. Yay!! Guys check your tax 2018 transcripts on the irs.gov/get transcript online seems it gets the info before the irs refund website.. Hope that helps

Some good news. My bars disappeared for a whole week and that message kept appearing. I was getting so anxious!!' After a week it said my refund was approved!!! Just be patient. It was two weeks for me.

Your comment was from 5 years ago! Tax years 2017- present has had the tax laws changed to now you have to wait until the end of February to the first week of March to receive your refund due the path act being passed in 2016 if you claim the ETIC and ACTC

Thank You for taking the time to make this video. I got more information from you then the person I paid to do my taxes. We have had the bar mysteriously disappear for the past 8 days. Our return is so damn simple it makes no sense why it was "flagged" to begin with, so now I am goggling the internet like a nut trying to see if it has happened to others. For me I have all the right codes on my transcript. 508,768,766, mine is just waiting for path to lift an the 846 code .....hopefully

This is not always the case, I've spoken with 4 different IRS agents and they simply stated that the bars disappear either because they are generating a DDD for you, are their could be a overflow of their system which is causing it to glitch

The path act is really inconveniencing alot of people, because I qualified for earned income credit, when I filed on turbo tax the 29th of last month, and just today, it's telling me that they finally received my refund, and that it's being processed, and I even chose direct deposit. So to my understanding, I will not get my money until the first week of march, when I'm broke, on medical leave for almost 6 weeks , and behind on 2 bills now, thank you government for making me wait for the fucking money I worked my ass off for. I can't stand the government constantly fucking with vulnerable people like this anymore, it angers me to no end. I understand the new law, its too protect people, but you shouldn't have to wait this goddamn long for direct deposit, refund period, it's frustrating, especially when you are poor. They have no.problem going after humans for owing the irs, but when you file your taxes, be expected to wait months, Thank you for the video.

A lot of us poor Americans share the same sentiment. It’s so ridiculous! They take out of our paychecks all year but we have to wait until March to see anything in our pockets. I filed on the first day of opening and have yet to see any encouraging message. It’s all fucked up! I would think that they know everything about us since they take from us all damn year. I’m waiting but my patience has run out and there’s not anything that we can do about this. Smh

I understand I’m waiting on mine and just lost my job. So I completely understand. I was a victim of fraud one year where someone had my kids ssn and filed a tax return and I was the one they looked at as fraud. I had to send in so much paper work to prove that these where May kids. If this law was in place then it would have saved soo much time and the other person would automatically be k own as fraud. The pass 2 yers the longest they held my taxes was 6 weeks so I got 2 more weeks to go. But yes I want my money now!!! Lol

Sorry you're going through this. In a way I like it b/c my daughter's info was stolen and filed by someone else many years ago & this has cut back on that. But that being said, it's ridiculous that this is the "only way" the government can crack down on it. We shouldn't have to wait so dang long just b/c we use EIC and/or child take cred. We files 1/30 and still "processing" when it should be getting issued by now! I was on med leave last summer, which we're still catching up from and this return would REALLY help us! Plus 2 of my kids have special needs and all of us tale meds so expenses add up. Really hoping and praying for you to get through this!

Crazy thing is state sent my refund quickly. The feds are just holding it as long as possible is all i can think of.

@@brittanyepperson4484 mine state refund arrived in a week and half. but feds are still holding my refund for a little more than a month now. i don't know what to do honestly. edit: i actually received my fed refund in about 1 month and a half. ya not less than 27 days as advertised. but i did receive it in the end. so don't worry guys. no need to call them or anything just be patient.

Sorry to disappoint, but my state taxes were delivered within 2 weeks, and I'm STILL waiting on my Federal refund. I filed April 15th, and it's now June 15th. NO way to call the IRS, and I KNOW that I filed correctly. I put in my child income tax review. There's no way that a HUMAN BEING can checky taxes and process it correctly within the timeframe. IRS is just REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY behind and now the hardworking parents are behind and can't do this correctly. I hate the IRS and I think the is the shit end of the deal for hardworking parents. If you were a non-working parent through the pandemic, and you just decided through-out this whole thing to just "stay home" during covid, making unemployment, doing nothing....of COURSE you get taxes on time. You got all stimulus checks, you did absolutely fucking nothing during this crisis, and bitched through the whole thing, make ppl feel bad cuz you "lost a great job" I Don't. Feel. Sorry. For. You... I'm going through the same thing every video I watch there's some mom saying "I really need this money, I have kids" you already know they won't use none of that money for their kids anyway they are just really impatient, don't get me wrong I'm impatient as well.. but I really worked my a$$ off and I never received a stimulus or unemployment so my final payout has been increased to 2,300. Today's my deposit date and I still haven't received my refund. The bank didn't have any record of it.

The IRS said that is not true they said when your bars disappear that means your return was approved and you're just waiting on a refund date the IRS said that they also said that if it was something wrong with your return they would let you know by giving you the message saying you need to contact the IRS

@@kingcreations8478 they can't send out no refunds til after the 15th if you filed kids or the earned income tax credits mine been the same way but they said they will do a big update on Saturday so maybe we a get a update then if not give it the full 21 days then call but they said if it was anything wrong they would let you know to contact the IRS or it a say it can't give no information and you a get a letter in the mail

My federal was accepted 1/19 and today makes it 22 days since guaranteed refund within 21 days and now I have received error code 1541. Please don’t worry Also if you claimed the EIC or the child tax credit then those returns will not start to be processed until after the 15th of February due to the PATH Act. So he’s definitely right. After 21 days WMR will send error code because it’s been 21 days.

Let me edit, this. A couple years ago I was audited for EITC. It was after 21 days and my bars had disappeared and then I started receiving letters. This year I let someone else do my taxes and I will say this is the first year I have seen the bars disappear. Mines currently say still being processed, the tax 152 information is not there as well. I do know my 21 days by law is this upcoming saturday, I was also concerned for those who filled early with EITC and the other credit, what would happen to there return. This is something the IRS should have said. informing people with EITC when to see progress or changes.

This is not true I have 5 family member working for IRS one being a sister an it's way over 100,000 people who refund got delayed due to system changing missing bars don't have to mean you are under review the system kicked out refunds because it was ready for the amount of refunds that came in early due to the fact their system was still undated all the new tax topic an requirements when taxes came through so if they are reviewing you it don't mean they are looking for nothing more than changes that were made the time yours got sent through an they could tell you was going on but you have allow the 21 days you do get some agents that is willing to do their jobs an is concern about helping you

I am well aware it was way over 100,000 people who got delayed, I was using the number as an example to people to show the large sum of returns that are delayed because apparently people think like a few hundred being delayed is a huge deal, it's not when you consider the big picture- I was saying about 100,000 out of every 1,000,000 get delayed. Also, as I stated to another commenter- I made this video to help people and give them information that the IRS won't give them. For the first time...I filed and was accepted on the 1st day of the test batch..1/13....I had one bar and being processed for 3 weeks...then it switched to still processing, tax topic 152..my refund amount, etc..was on the side....I called the IRS. They said..that even though they accepted my return during the test batch, I wasn't selected for processing, so they "resequenced" me to 1/27...in other words...they moved me to the back of the line and could no longer guarantee the 21 day thing.....and I guess I'm weekly, because this new screen on the WMR has been up for almost a week now. So...I will never do the test batch again...

I did it with turbo tax and they said that. It’s been received by the IRS according to the Turbo tax ...

irs says it's due to high traffic. Google search. posting this on 2 16 19 which is a day after there supposed to release eic and actc returns

as long as you see your tax amount and it say your refund (is being) proccessed and not saying (still being) proccessed means you should be getting your direct deposit soon

I received my state refund on the 11th and the bars on wmr didn't disappear until yesterday the 13th, so if there was something wrong, wouldn't state be delayed too? The H&R block lady didn't know why my bars disappeared and the IRS said they can't access my account until the 17th (when my 21 days is up) I'm confused, I'm frustrated, I'm getting worried. It's like the people who need it are getting messed with while the people who don't are getting theirs (my own situation no one elses)

This video completely freaked me out because I have no bars right now. SOOOO I called the irs and asked she said the no bars is just part of the system that they have right now it means your in the final stages of your refund. And that the only time you should be worried is if it's after the 21 days. Then your getting fucking audited and your life is over. K :) ok.

mine was going that too. my mistake was I was putting in my federal + my state. only the federal is required. the whole amount before your tax prep take out their fees.

Make sure you have the correct filing status ie: head of household, single, etc. Also make sure the amount of the refund is correct. Hope this helps.

And I've heard it's a review by human on your taxes and I'm hoping that not the case

Eyra Ramos i filed mine a week before feb 27th and everything was going good i eve. have 2 bars where it said its being process and should be mailed out by march the 3rd. then march 3rd came and i checked the status of my tax return, now the screen that pops out doesnt show the bars anymore and also now it doesnt asure me ill recieve my money wothin 21 days. it just says ur tax return is being reviewd. n theres no way i can check to see what in the world is going on with it. sucks guess ima have to wait. n have a to. of late payments. i was relying on my tax return money ughhh

Mine just had these bars disappear last Friday. Its only 4 days later so I should be seeing a better update soon. Only difference is not only did my bars disappear but the code 152 also disappeared as well

We filed on 2/16. The bars disappeared and we waited the 21 days before calling. When we called we had to verify our identity. The rep said give it 6-8 weeks from the day you filed, the bars would come back and we would get.our refund. Well its been 12 weeks and still NOTHING. Wmr still says processing. No bars, no codes, NOTHING. I'm getting really frustrated bc we're missing out on things. And my husband was laid off from the oilfield. But whenever we call we are cut off by the high call volume. My nerves are shot this year!

@@nene8369 I had the same thing at first the refrence code 9001 I was tempted to call but I didn't..so then I found out it was a computer glitch no problem with the return that stayed on for week or so then it changed to the path act and 152 so just sit tight like me and fingers crossed on the 15th😉

+Charlotte McCaskill no. Getting flagged just means someone has to look it over before they do the final processing. The system has different checks it goes through to flag returns for different reasons. If that person looking it over decides that there is a big issue, then you'd get a letter. Otherwise, they'll just push it through if everything looks ok. i.e- as the video explains.

I haven't gotten flag gotten flag tax return process and a update or date will be given for my refund that's what I've been getting and I file March 12th 2021, it's been way over 21 days but then I found out that the IRS shut down for 6 weeks so I don't know what to do

i dont have my bars anymore but everything else is still there, it say i should receive it within 21 day but it doesn't say a refund date will be provided what does this mean?

What if you got approved for loan. However irs website has no record of refund 🤷🏽‍♀️

My daughter got this two yrs ago and never got her money for 2018. Yet she got her refund last for 2019. Once again she is under this review again this yr for 2020. She doesnt make a ton of money, she claims her kids and completes everything as needed.

I applied last January 31, 2020 and when I checked today it says “your refund is still being processed” what should I do to let the IRS know that I am worried about the situation it’s my first time to encounter this. Can I still receive my refund?

THE "OBAMA CARE" letter was sent to my mail box on FEB 02, 2015. i filed my tax 1/26/2015 and i did not know the OBAMA CARE LETTER has to be filed with my TAX RETURN TOGETHER!. so now from 1/26/15 up until now 02/21/2015 is still same message. Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available. NO 152 Number. you know guys my brother filed his tax return he gave his "OBAMA CARE LETTER" to the person who make tax. and he add the Obama care letter HE GOT HIS TAX NO PROBLEM IN JUST 1 WEEK FROM 02/14/2015

You guys, there is no need to worry. It's just their systems are having a large amount of traffic and if there are no bars then it is probably just updating itself and you only need to worry if its past the 21 days since it was accepted.

This guy is not being truthful I talked to a irs rep today and they said my tax return is good and there system isjust taking longer to process my return.They also told me alot of people called in about this issue and she also said alot of returns are being processed at the same time.But asured me once your tax return is accepted then the pc takes over processing your return irs pcs.

A) I’m always 100% truthful in my videos and have covered the processing system for almost 10 years, I’ve sat down for interviews with the developers of the return processing system, have gotten handbooks and manuals on the operating procedures I know more about the system than any IRS customer service rep you’d talk to on the phone. B) This video was made over 6 years ago, and at the time the IRS was stating themselves if your bars disappeared was because your return was under review C) while tax law changes (PATH ACT) have caused people to lose their bars for other reasons in recent years, people STILL lose their bars mainly for manual review. D) the main message of the video is still applicable today- the system automatically takes the bars away after a period of time where the return isn’t done processing- it’s programmed like this because the system assumes they CAN NO LONGER GUARANTEE you’ll get your refund in 21 days. E) IRS customer service is not allowed to give you any specifics about what is goin on with your return other than a deposit date if it finished processing. Other than that, they are trained to say whatever will get you off the phone quickly to move on to the next call F) Just because you aren’t being told what you want to hear, like obviously you want to be told you’re getting a refund in 10 seconds, doesn’t make the information untrue. These videos are designed to give people insight into how the system works and what may be going on with their returns.

My buddy didn't lose his bars and got a refund date like 3 days after he got accepted and he filed a couple days after me. Your video you made last year was pretty much dead on as well. +Rhea Banks I Filed 1/26/15 lost bars 1/31. was told after a month that my return went unpostable, this is after everyone told me everything looked fine. I was then told that it went on possible due to an identity theft indicator from the previous year's return. I ended up getting a tax advocate and had my money by March 4th. I filed this year on the 27th, and am aWeekly updater. I was so scared to check this am because of what happened last year. I still have my bar, so thats hopeful.

Grisel Lopez I’m not sure you will have to check with irs if it doesn’t go away. Mine said topic 152 also, but my status bars came back now. My friend said she never had bars to begin with. So maybe it’s just something to do with the system. I wouldn’t worry right now too much..If you filed child tax credit or earned income credit it may be why it is doing that. Seems like everyone I talk to about it is having similar problems. So try not to worry. If it’s still doing that the 27th of February I would call the IRS.

Still shows refund amount. I have 1 dependent and got the EIC. I really hope this is just a glitch and I get mine on the 27th

You have to pay attention if your "Refund Staus" Says your tax return *Is Being Proccessed* and not Saying *still Being Proccessed* You should be recieving your direct deposit Very soon!.. thank me later

My bars disappeared for a few days but then got them back with the Refund Approved message. I had the exact same screen when they went away. Keep the faith...sometimes it doesn't mean anything...they might be simply working on issuing your refund.

Agnes Coffey I don't know if my situation will help you out or not. I filed January 26th and was accepted the 26th. On the 29th which was a Monday, my bars disappeared and I got the screen "your return is still being processed, a refund date will be provided when available" that was Jan 29th. This past Friday Feb 23rd I received a letter from the IRS sating that a return has been filed with my information. The letter I received was form 4883c. I actually had to call a number on the letter with a control number on the letter and give it to them. They also asked questions from past tax returns and personal information to verify my identity. I called on the 26th of February to verify my identity. As of early this morning, wmr status changed from "your return is still being processed, a refund date will be provided when available" to the message "we have received your return and it is now being processed". This is the first time my status has changed since January 29th and here it is March first. On turbo tax... Google the form number 4883c and look on the forum on turbo tax. Other people have been dealing with this year. Some on there were expecting an update this wed after verifying. Some on there, their status still processing and nothing changed. Others on there status changed with mine this morning. So it seems me and those folks on there are in the same boat. We are expecting another changed in status by Saturday. Good luck. You could be receiving this letter.

Filed my taxes on February 13th and got accepted on the 16th of February. My amount is still showing, but no bars now. Its saying that it is still beimg processed and a refund date will be giving when available. Ifs been over a month since i filed and almost a month since i got accepted. Go back to the previous years account transcripts and look at the cycle codes next to the "tax return filed"- if the cycle codes all end in 05 every year, then they will update only on fridays because you are in weekly batches of processing every year- which means they only process the 05's on Thursdays, and update the transcripts on fridays. If the cycle code ends in a different number every year, then you could see updates any day because you fall into the daily processing batches.

This happened to me. I filed early this year, Jan 26th. At that point I hadn't gotten a 600 stimulus check so that's what I marked on my returns. On the 30th I got the stimulus check and still haven't cashed it thinking that it might mess with my tax returns. I'm assuming despite my efforts to prevent that, they must have flagged the returns any way. Is there someway I could get a hold of "Bob" via phone call or email to help clarify and speed this up?

I went thru this last year and again this year. We received last years refund after getting a tax advocate. I think it is the Obama care Insurance. We have Obama care (because we are made to get it or will be fined) This is complete BS!! We took our 1095 A and everything. Thanks Obama for all the messes you have made!! I BLAME YOU OBAMA!

Obama’s not in office so who’s delaying the taxes this damn year?

I have this same generic message but my refund amount and Tax Topic 152 is still visible. What if anything does this mean?

Accepted on 1/27, bars disappeared about a week ago (around February 7) and transcripts still say N/A. 21 days is tomorrow. I wonder if it is obamacare? I had insurance the last half through the marketplace but not the first half but covered CA was a headache. I wonder if it is that messing it up? But I am curious as to why still no transcripts being three weeks after being accepted. I am at a lost at this point.

Health insurance has delayed hundreds of thousands this year, but there is no actual way to know for sure that's what's causing it until you can actually view your transcripts- the health insurance hold could would be on there if that's what it is. If transcripts aren't available at all, it's simply been sitting in a reviewers que and hasn't even begun to hit that stage of processing yet. My bet is that you're probably going to see your transcripts available to you on Friday. If that's the case you could then check out the codes and see what's up. Look at your previous years account transcripts (Check 2013 and 2012 and 2011 if available)- what are the cycle code dates next to the "150" code?

2 Wheel Life For 2011: 20120404; for 2012: 20130803; for 2013: 20140601. I have never waited more than a week and this tax return has far fewer itemized deductions that past years. I am not desperate for the money as I NEVER depend on the government to make ends meet. I would just like to know what the heck is going on! There is panic running around saying this means it ID Theft, Pre-Audit and/or Audit, lost in a glitch, etc. The refund amount still shows for me but not my wife (never checked it on her SSN until today). I have always been an early filer. Only other thing I can think of is I did a job for 1 week that I totally forgot about. It was $440 that I did not claim as income since I forgot about it and the W-2 came a few days ago. Not sure if that is the hiccup.... Thanks for any insight!

Hmm. Well, you've been in the daily batch of returns the past few years, meaning you could see transcript updates pretty much anyday of the week. However, the healthcare may have bumped you into the weekly batch processing system- if that's so, you would only see updates on Fridays. Either the healthcare or the non reported income could have flagged you for review. All you can really do is wait. They can either decide to process as it is and change it on their own or ask you to send it more info. However, you by law don't have to report anything under $500, so the income may not be it. But the healthcare has been the delay for many. Like I said in the video, reviews can take anywhere from a couple days to months to finish. People from the first batch of acceptances before opening date (1/08-1/19) that were also under review for healthcare have JUST started getting updates this week.So it seems to be about a month to get that taken care of if that's what is holding it up. Other's haven't had to wait as long, other's have had to wait longer. Unfortunately, without those transcripts available to you. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.
