This is part one of a two-part discourse. The question asked was - why do the Himalayan masters stay in the Himalayas by themselves and not live in the cities?
Om Swami says that his personal experience and the experience of countless seekers have not been what has been mentioned in some very popular books, where an impression has been created that there are yogis hiding in the Himalayan caves. He says, there are yogis who live in the Himalayas, but not like it has been portrayed in some of the books. He says, he has been to the French Alps, the Swiss Alps, the mountains of New Zealand, California, and other places too, but the transcendental energy and the enormous amount of spiritual wisdom which flows from the Himalayas is not found elsewhere and it is incomparable. And once, one has tasted this bliss, everything appears insignificant in front of it. Further, a person who has found bliss in solitude has no meaning in the world thereafter. Om Swami says, only two kinds of yogis will come back from the Himalayas. The first kind are those who still harbor some unfulfilled desires, and the second kind who want to communicate or transmit the bliss they felt to seekers, who cannot themselves go to the Himalayas due to various reasons and commitments.

Is he a jus simple monk. After reading, listening and contemplating on him I learnt that he is God himself. He is that infinite powerhouse that if he is gonna show that directly to all of us then we might get burnt all together but he is that Sun which is giving all of us that correct, that perfect amount of Sunrays in which we all can warm up our heart, can purify our souls. According to Veda Saaram, “Mruth shila dhathu darwadi moortha vishwamavidyaya klishyanthi thapasa moodha paraam shaanthim nayaanthithe”, means, “A fool who is worshipping an idol gathers nothing but pain and he never attains salvation”. Why did Vishnu touch Vrinda. could he have solved the problem in any other way apart from touching her? She then cursed him that he will become a stone and then she committed suicide. And Vishnu gave her rebirth as Tulsi. And married her as a stone. And now every Hindu keeps a Tulsi Plant in their house? let's pass these as myths or stories. It started with Lord Indira touching wife of Gautam Rishi, Ahilya. Greek Roman mythologies had these lust rape stories too. The chief Greek God Zeus himself is part of many rape stories - he is believed to have ‘sexually violated’ several women, namely, Antiope, Europa, Hera, Leda and several others. Medusa was raped by Poseidon and was subsequently also punished for being raped in Athena’s temple. In the Roman context, The Rape of the Sabine Women, which was nothing other than forceful sexual violence perpetrated by Roman men, is often normalised as an important step in Roman history that helped them achieve a fairly “blended” population where some kind of consent and treaty was achieved after the said incident. ALMOST ALL MYTHOLOGIES HAVE STORIES OF WOMEN/YOUTH BEING “TAKEN” BY GODS AS PUNISHMENT, PLEASURE OR AS A CONQUEST

I doubt if it exists there. If you meditate in The Himalayas or even in the foot hills of The Himalayas you feel the spiritual vibration running across you spine. Of course,you need to meditate on consistent basis in Brahmamahrut.
