Why Do Some Feel TRACY MCGRADY Shouldn't Have Been a 1st Ballot Hall Of Fame Player? Stunted Growth

Спорт

Tracy McGrady if you didn't know, was inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame in his first ballot. Many feel as though his career didn't amount to that. Why is that? In his generation he was easily one of the best players WHEN HEALTHY, and gets respect from all his peers. His numbers suggest he should and his impact on the game is well documented. But yet, there's still confusion. Could it be because he never won a chip? Never made it to a conference finals as the leader? Or because his career was over prematurely? What we do know is that he had so much game that the expectations for him were to be one of the better players of his era. Was he?

T-Mac and Yao could never stay healthy together. As far as HOF, I don't think T-Mac is first ballot but based off the players that are in, he belongs. For instance, Bernard King was among the best players in the early to mid 80s but injuries held him back. King only made it to the 2nd round once. T-Mac and King are definitely HOF talents, but did not have the clear-cut HOF career they should've had. I would blame that on injuries and lack of team leadership.
