These are my thoughts - failures can be attributed to: The organisational structure and processes are not ready for the functionality it provides, from a training and continuity point of view; The regions socio-demograhics does not support the functionality it can provide; The nature of the business enterprise's transactions; The reluctance of the process owners, to relinquish business process, pre-implementation - due to the functionality it can provide; The quality and integrity of the data, certainly surpasses most solutions, if done right; An exercise to determine the value the functionality can provide - will certainly help in the decision making process.
