Not a fan of gurning incense, nor of flowers in general. Both give me a headache. The only exception is jasmine, so really loved services in the Philippines because they use that flower so much.

Father, I know (also) that the priest uses the incenser, because the wicked runs fast away from its burning smell.

I note that laypeople typically use a hand censer that can be held in one hand. It resembles an oil lamp and sometimes has small bells attached to it. More convenient especially for a smaller house.

Revelation 5:8 King James Version 8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. Prayers are parfums, whats the deal with incense. Which bible do Catholics read?

Unfortunately, they love manmade rituals, and praying to idols more than God or His Word. Hopefully they all get saved someday!

A kiss on the hand of a priest is a sign of respect for his priestly quality and not for his personality.

Remember, we are dealing with many different cultures that are far more expressive than the american, English, or even Northern European ones. The liturgical service we use come from the Near East where kissing is common, even among men. These are expressions of deference, affection, respect and love. The priest's hands are always touching and handling the Sacred Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist and other holy things. The priests hands bless the faithful. What is so wrong with showing a kiss of affection for that?

Whats the point of this? I thought god had enough of this in Isaiah 1:13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Which bible do Catholics read?

Isaiah from the very first words of chapter 1 gives the reason : 1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. 2 "Hear, O heavens, and give ear, o earth! For the Lord has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against Me; 3 the ox knows its owner and the donkey its master’s crib; but Israel does not know, My people do not consider.” 4 **Alas, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a brood of evildoers, children who are corrupters! They have forsaken the Lord, They have provoked to anger The Holy One of Israel, they have turned away backward** [...] 13 Bring no more futile sacrifices; incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies... It is more than obvious God rightly "had enough of" and no longer wanted the incense and the offerings - OF THAT SINFUL AND DISOBEDIENT NATION - ISRAEL - NOT EVERYONE IN GENERAL.. This is what happens when we read one sentence or a few words at random, without checking their CONTEXT, and then create our own "explanations"...
