I am an adult who still loves Pop Tarts. I introduced my daughters to Pop Tarts growing up and they were hooked. Unfortunately as they grew older sometimes they will occasionally get heartburn eating Pop Tarts but they still have fond memories of their favorite childhood snack. Their favorite still is strawberry frosted. I still have my daughters Pop Tarts holders. One looks like wildberry and the other looks like strawberry frosted. My favorite flavors are strawberry plain, wildberry and raspberry frosted or raspberry plain. We live in New York and we did go to the Pop Tarts store twice and were sad when it closed.

I just watched a PBS Eons about what the world will look like in 300 million years. They talked briefly about Pop Tarts. These will never go away.
Why did I just watch a whole video on the comprehensive history of Pop-Tarts
Some US military MREs have a single pop tart included with the meal. If memory serves right. It’s a surprise what you get. The packaging just says something like “pastry, shelf stable” or whatever. Surprisingly the few I’ve had have been fully intact and not fallen apart in a million pieces.
@cherie..cherry
Ай бұрын
Yup. It’s good old’ “shelf stable pastry”. From what I remember the only flavors I’ve ever gotten or seen are strawberry. and they’re not half bad, esp compared to some of the candies in certain menus 😅
Living in a country where those toasters are a rarity (we toast bread on a metal plaque put over a stove burner), I wonder why these confections are unknown here, if they don't even need to be toasted to be eaten 😂

1 Pop Tart for every 20 people..WTF, did some soldiers didn't realize that they would need a whole lot more than that. That just pissed me off!!!
Sometimes I eat both Tarts, but sometimes I only want one. I remember when Pop Tarts came in the heavy foil packaging that you could fold down tight if you didn't eat both of them. But now they come in those flimsy silver packets that you can't fold up; they won't stay closed. So if I only want one Tart, I end up having to put the other one in a zipper bag to keep it fresh.

This makes me want a Pop-Tart real bad.
i appreciate how they finally acknowledged the one side of the poptart thats always got more frosting in the new commercials
I worked filling vending machines in the late 1980's and 1990's and Pop-Tarts were firmly entrenched in the vending world. One vending company I worked for even had a agreement with Kellogg's that guaranteed every snack machine the company operated would have at least one slot permanently dedicated to Pop-Tarts. For machines that I filled at schools and colleges, it was common to offer multiple flavors of Pop-Tarts because they sold so well. Vending Machine Pop-Tarts were designed to be eaten WITHOUT being heated. And they were made with a different formula/recipe that did make them taste good right out of the package. They were great. Since then, I have never purchased Pop-Tarts in stores because they are NOT as good as the vending ones used to be.
Hot Fudge Sundae, Cookies N Creme, and Blueberry are my favorite Pop Tart flavors. And the mascots are cute and hilarious! I would love to see Weird History Food do videos on mascots. Especially if they talked about mascots voiced by famous voice actors! Examples: Paul Winchell, OG voice of Tigger from Winnie The Pooh [and inventor of the artifical heart] voiced the 1970s Jack In The Box characters, Burger Chef, Tusk the Elephant for Cocoa Krispies and Crackle for Rice Krispies. Mae Questel, voice of Betty Boop and Olive Oyl from Popeye, also did Buffalo Bee for Nabisco Rice Honeys. Richard Beals, voice of Speedy Alka-Seltzer did the voice of The Frito Kid and well as Little Oscar in animated Oscar Mayer ads [one is on Historic Films]. Mel Blanc did Toucan Sam, and likely a lot more given his already huge voice portfolio.
I love Pop Tarts. 😊

Frosted Blueberry!! My heart
Too sweet
I always microwave my pop-tarts; I find that toasting them makes them all dry and crunchy, whereas microwaving them gets them just a little soft and warmed all throughout.
The 50th anniversary Birthday Cake flavor was amazing
I have never toasted a Pop Tart. I like only the unfrosted ones. Seems like strawberry are the only unfrosted ones I find at my local store. I loved the brown sugar cinnamon ones until they started frosting them. Too sweet for me!
I really liked the French toast flavor. And the chocolate chip flavor was great frozen.
When I was in college I had one Pop Tart for breakfast every morning, only one. I put a paper clip on the packet to keep the second one fresh for the next day.
Easily the best flavor ever created was Chocolate Vanilla Cream. I still am disappointed they no longer exist. Here’s to hoping they bring them back someday.
