Without a doubt, this is one of the best channels on KZread about Jamaica. I personally learned a lot from this channel and still learning. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Do not be discouraged, just filter out the noise and keep pressing forward. I am a fan of this channel and always watch your videos. Be so good that the haters can't ignore you, use the criticism as fuel and you will never run out of energy.

So the criteria for being a "real Jamaican" is whether or not I like this channel? I always urge caution when people try and proclaim what makes a "real" anything or not. EDIT: I love her channel and have been subscribed for some time now. But I don't think my "Jamaicaness" should be determined by whether I do or not.

I'm a Jamaican Irina and I've realized a mentality in some of us. For want of a better words, I call it "an aspect of the slavery mentality". We get upset when other people are doing things that we think we should be doing. But at the end of the day, we are either not doing it, or when we try to do it we don't get support from the same people who get upset that other people are doing it. We hold ourselves down. Gwan do u ting Irie! No watch no face. (That means: keep doing what you're doing! Don't let anyone stop you.)

I'm glad for the clarity you bring to many different aspects of life in Jamaica.

Why aren’t they forming investment groups and approach lending institutions to buy up Jamaica. JPS should be owned by Jamaicans. Why aren’t the entertainers who always profess how much they love poor people. They should come together invest and create jobs .

Why do you think this is the case? 🤔Is it because it's a habit? I’m a born Jamaican living in the UK for over 56 years visiting Jamaica quite often. I just love your videos. They are informative and interesting. Keep doing what you’re doing.

In general you’ll get negative comments because you have quite a few Jamaicans who only want the negatives about jamaica they only wanna hear about crime violence and poverty, when your highlighting a positive side of Jamaica they don’t like that. It’s sad that so many Jamaicans don’t really care about or love the island . Yes it has its problems but so does the U.S. Europe Canada you name it , and the comparisons are insane to do.You cannot compare jamaica to a first world nation that in itself is stupid . Continue to highlight the positives and enjoying the island

@ S D...I thought the expression was PRICELESS as well. Personally, I didn't even think it was worth a response, given how many times she has talked about her Family and SHOWN her husband. But I love how "Classy" Irina is, and that she took the time to reiterate that in this video. But my question is: IF she was SINGLE, does that mean she CAN'T move to a DIFFERENT Country, for some many other reasons. I mean, how many Single Jamaicans move to other Countries for various reasons having NOTHING to do with what those "ignaromous people" were implying?
