Due to male factor infertility D&A fragmentation. We did ivf produced 3 good quality embryos but unfortunately 1st one failed. Since I have been never pregnant I'm thinking about doing Era,Emma, Alice before next transfer because my doctor doesn't recommend doing PGT-A testing since the embryos are frozen now.

I have a question that I never see anyone ask. How does the body know that a bad embryo has entered the uterus? I’ve transferred two good tested embryos and both of them failed to implant. We did a pre implantation uteral lining test and everything came back normal. We can’t figure out what the problem is. We can only assume it’s a mutation in the genes that wasn’t detected in the dna test. But if that’s the case, shouldn’t the embryo still implant briefly and then become a miscarriage? At what point does the body figure out this is not a good embryo? Do you think this is more of a lab problem?

My cycle is 25 days, with ovulation typically occurring at day 11/12. I have had uterine surgery. I had 7 eggs collected, 5 fertilised and 4 blastocysts of "good quality" (so the embryologists said). My Fertility specialist did not recommend Embryo testing, even though I was 35+ at the time. Result: 3 failed IVFs: 1 chemical pregnancy and 2 failed FET, for a failure rate of 75% overall. Is this a common occurrence?

The chart is showing red at age 32 women can start producing more embryos with abnormalities. My understanding was at age 35 is when you should start being concerned.

There is nothing particular special about either age. The older a woman gets, the higher the percentage of abnormal embryos she will make

11 out of 14 eggs were fertilized after icsi. 9 of them were arrested at the zygote stage !! Only three of them were divided. Two of them were divided into two cells and stopped . One of them divided into 3 cells and then slowly divided into 5 cells slowly until the fifth day . AMH and ovaries very good. Eggs without fragments with a good image. Is this a case of gene mutations?

So they took about 15 embryos. Dr. Told me only 5 of them are good. We chose 1 boy and 1 girl. They did the whole transfer process. But 2 months later dr. Said that one is not growing, it failed. I was wondering why did it fail if it was tested? Can you explain to me why? I believe you did answer this question in the video, but I want to make sure if my understanding is correct.

If we keep having problems with embryos and always get abnormal embryos, is there any way to improve chances of getting normal embryos? Or is it always random?

@@InfertilityTV so basically the more retrievals we do, the better the chance would be because would have more embryos to test? If we always get abnormal embryos each retrieval, is there basically no chance we can create a normal embryo with my own eggs because I’m too old now?

Dr Morris. Again Thank you for the work you do. My question is : how long after egg retrieval, and Preimplantation Genetic Screening should the embryos be planted back into the uterus? And also on another note. Which is better when ttc and IVF pads or tampons?

  • @InfertilityTV

It doesn't seem to matter when the embryos are transferred. Can be right away or after a delay. I am not aware of any evidence that there is a difference between pads and tampons when trying to conceive

Elva Ortega-Hilario I’m about ready to go in for my third transfer. The first transfer that I had did not implant. The second one did and resulted into a Pregnancy a 5 1/2 six weeks. I miscarried that one. So I am up for another transfer in a week and four days. I have been tested for everything under the sun, having to do or related with IVF. My immune system has been checked, all blood test came back normal, uterus biopsy, ultrasound, x-ray of my uterus, came back normal. I’m still very confused as to why the second one that I became pregnant with did not Result in a viable pregnancy? Because if they test for chromosome issues, what other issues could my embryos have if there’s nothing wrong with me at all? (my Embryos are five day blastocyst frozen)

According to my understanding the doctor told us that even when the embryons have the correct number of chromosomes under the tests PGD or/ and PGS , the chromosomes themselves may have some issues with the gens which are called gen mutations ( In different 23 normal chromosomes there are around 10,000 gens ) currently the experts do have the technology to test for generic mutations but they don't yet know which gens to test because there are around 10,000 ,this mean that our embryons with normal chromosomes may have some gen mutations that is going to avoid the implantation.we only have to keep trying until we get pregnant. However in the future the technology can advance more and figure out the which gens are right and which are not .
