It's even lonelier when the both of you divorce although you still love and care for each other.

That hurts a lot, indeed. On the other hand, I'm happy that you chose a person that even if you got divorced to, they still care for you, instead of hurting you even more. That shows that you made a good decision of partner, even though the relationship didn't work out. Right? 😉

You do understand that when someone reads your comments he or she will question the reason of your divorce if you still love and care for eachother?

I’m not putting what happened that’s between my ex and me. I don’t care what people think.

I am sorry, my comment was meant for the original commentor, the first one. If I would like to text you you would see your name like this:@@JJ20024 . And yes, it is none of anyone’s business. I am not entitled or in need to have an answer either but in general it doesn’t make any sense that when a couple still loves and care for eachother they break apart. I am not judging this commentor but nowadays in general there is lack of commitment to keep the marriage. And also many therapists and counselors are guilty of breaking couples apart which they have no right to. Same goes for family members, friends and many YT influencers who interfere in marriage and think they are entitled to tell the couple to live their own lives. The Western society and its people has become narcissistic and psychopatic. The people in these countries are extremely sick and they don’t even know it.

Thankyou and bless you, I really needed to hear this, it's been a long 10 months, I haven't felt so emotionally broken since my Dad suddenly died when I was 11 years old, its even worse now that I'm older, I pray everyday for God's healing but the tears haven't stopped, I miss my family so very much!

It hurts to the core, it feels excruciatingly painful. I know, Pete. Hold yourself with kindness and care during this nasty storm. 😢

The cold hard reality is you cannot make someone love you. If they want to leave there's nothing you can do.

True. Relationships are hard, and it taks two people to participate intentionally in order to make it work. If one is tired, uninterested, or scared to try, we cannot do anything to change their mind. Unless they want to have their mind changed... 😉

I know that all these ideas that you are a burden to others or pitied by them seem true to you, but what I've seen in the people I treated after the end of their relationship is that they their self-esteem is really low. So, it's not necessarily true that others pity you or that you ruin people's happy lives, but more of a negative internal self-interpretation that stems from the end of a relationship, the possible rejection or the loss and grief experienced by it. Give it time, and most importantly, don't listen to this voice that says that you are not good enough for your friends or gf. You got it 😉
