"Why did you play that move?" | Nakamura vs Kevlishvili | Qatar Masters 2023 | Commentary by Sagar
Спорт
Hikaru Nakamura's opponent Robby Kevlishvili (2521) came very well prepared to the game. He put Nakamura under a lot of pressure. However, at one point he made a move which made everyone sit back in their chairs and wonder - why exact did Robby do this? This was also Nakamura's expression during the game! Check out the 4th round battle from the Qatar Masters Open 2023 along with the commentary by IM Sagar Shah.

Hikaru to Kevlishvili during the anyalysis conversation "You could have gotten a winning position after takes takes takes takes takes ..."
This dude commentates so well, he's got the passion and very sound understanding of the game. It's almost like he lives rent free in the minds of every super GM 👏
Always nice to see competing fiercely and then have a nice friendly chat after the game.

It seems rare though. Sometimes one player would like to and the other behaves like a prick and almost ignores hi, for example Magnus.
Love how they spend time discussing the game, Hikaru always donating his time to help others!

@@nft3 Tbh it feels absolutely disgusting to lose, you'd know it when you play a tournament - especially when we're regarded amonsgt the tops. So its upto the player how they act in that situation.

@@nft3well, to be honest, most top chess players are like this, Magnus included. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. They rarely lose a game, so it always hurts

Most of them discuss the game afterwards, it's not a "donation" lmao, he's not generous for spending time to "help others". They all love the game and its very natural to want to discuss what each other thought about a certain move or variation after playing for hours.
i love how at the end of it they talk...learning and teaching one another. no other game has or display this between opps
Didn’t understand the rook sacrifice in the exchange at 9:10
Never seen him before but I like Robbie
Hikaru and Vish Anand ji मेरे बहुत पसंदीदा प्लेयर हैं
At 7:52 instead of Rb6, i was thinking Rxf3, gxf3, Nxe5 which seems a much better exchance sacrifice compared to what happened in the game
How is Robbie 22 Years old? The man looks like he is in his 30s.

Great
Kevlishvili plays surprising move at 9:10
A chess streamer analyzing the game with a professional player
11:02 i told A4 suddenly he told nah...😂😂
I saw robbie sometimes play with lefthand and sometimes play with right hand, is that allowed?
Kevlishvili was surprised in 0:07 seconds
rooting for hikaru
They fraternized at the end as the beard + mustache club.
Hikaru after the game reminds me a teacher showing to his student his mistakes
An exchange sacrifice gone wrong
Why they play one move and just leave?

The video is edited. They usually thought for several minutes per move and then just took a walk that's common during classic games that last oftentimes 2 to 3 hours.
Kevlishvili inner voice "sacRiFice daa Rook"

You probably know the answer, the situation is hopeless for black. They're both so good they don't need to play further they know the outcome is black looses.
It all goes very garry kasparov after the game doesnt it 😂 just needed some middle finger points
Why do they write moves?? It can be found on the internet.

THE KNIGHT SIMPLY MOVES BACK TO D6 AND FUN FACT THE A PAWN CAN NEVER TAKE THE B PAWN AS THE ROOK IS PINNED . AND EVEN IF HE TAKES A MASS EXCHANGE HAPPENS AND BLACK IS LEFT WITH HIS KNIGHT FOR A ROOK BUT THIS TIME THE KNIGHT IS CLOSER TO THE KING AND HENCE IT IS A DRAW SO YEAH A4 ISNT THAT GOOD
I don't know about you but when you said 'Let's try to listen' I can't hear anything.

The difference is if not live commentary, he would have ton of time to analyze the game on machine, not so much if live commentary, especially on short time and end game. It's a fair criticism, no need to hyperbole or misrepresent.@@TheSeeker-wo6mj
