I think loads of people would be interested in some of the more nuts and bolts regarding how to make a lifestyle like yours work. I am assuming that there are lots of factors involved between family finances, sponsorships, side-work, etc. Girona certainly looks lovely.

@@fallyhag Me rude? Haha. Keira is making a great effort to learn castellano and Jaufro wants to tell her that it is an 'imposed' language? I'm quite sure that over the years she will pick up some catalan and may even go on to study the language but for now leave her alone to learn her castellano. Only 46% of catalans speak catalan fluently, while 100% speak castellano. She will also be able to use it in Madrid, Galicia, Murcia etc etc and Cancún, Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile. As an Irish linguist who has taught English all over Spain (including Cataluña) since 2006 one thing I have grown to hate is language naziism. We need language primarily to communicate, the politics can come later. So for now Keira learn your castellano and leave the catalan nationalism for another day.

You could learn Spanish like I learned Tagalog (Filipino)by watching soap operas with English subtitles however I hit a snag when the tv shows were discontinued as the TV network did not pay their taxes in 4 yrs and the president said pay up you "as@-h%les " mga a@noa (Filipino) or pen%ejos (Spanish) they didn't so he shut down the network....your place looks muy bonita btw

Glad to see at least you’re not falling into the annoyingly stereotype of a British couple that have been living for +30 years in Spain or Catalonia and can’t talk any further of una cerveza por favor. However, even though, I fully encourage you to get the most from your Spanish lessons, but expecting to achieve a conversational level in 3 months is extremely laughable, I’m afraid. And I can tell you, I came to UK confidently dreaming I could achieve a fluent conversational level in 6 months. It’s 12 years ago and still don’t feel I’ve achieved the level I wanted! Luckily enough I love ride in your miserable weather lol Good luck tou
