Di dalam inskripsi ini tercatat: “…digubal sebagai memperingati Maharaja Samara yang menghalau keluar Chola dari seluruh bumi Sri Lanka…Kampung Mehendibapiti,yang mana dimiliki oleh oleh Maharaja Samara,hendaklah diberikan kepada penyewa, ia hendaklah diingati bahawa pada masa ini, kita telah dibebaskan oleh raja ini,ia harus diingati bahawasanya,kampung-kampung dan tanah kami telah dibebaskan oleh raja ini, ia juga hendaklah diingati bahawa walau bagaimanapun banyak kampung yang dimiliki,berapa banyak rumah-rumah dan taman-taman yang dimilki,rumah-rumah dan taman-taman akan kekal tanpa pegawai dari istana menceroboh hak mereka dan merampasnya dari mereka.” Nama emperor Srivijaya dalam inskripsi ini ialah Samaravijayatunggavarman.Baginda inilah yang mengarahkan raja Jawa membunuh Rajendra Chola menurut rekod Siam dan Khmer yang mengambil dari saksi-saksi di Sri Lanka. Sebenarnya kematian Rajendra Chola juga tidak dijelaskan dengan terperinci dalam rekod-rekod Tamil seperti mana dua raja sebelum Kulotungga I.Ini memang menarik dan membenarkan catatan dari Sri Lanka dan Siam malah Kelantan bahawa Rajendra Chola dibunuh oleh salah seorang pemerintah Srivijaya.

Sri Wijaya Kingdom did a punitive counter attack against Chola and this was recorded in the Chinese History. Sri Wijaya counter attack ..... and chola fall "The Chola kingdom is subject to Srivijaya, this is why during the Xining reign period (1068-1077) we wrote to its ruler on coarse paper with an envelope of plain stuff. Dated 1106 (Songshi p489: 14087)" nd subsequently the appointment of a Buddhist malay from Sriwijaya as the new king of Chola. These events are : 1)Violent death of the Chola king,Virarajendra in 1070 2)The empty throne of chola was filled by a stranger bearing the name Kulotungga, A kind of name which would be nothing unusual in Srivijaya but was totally alien to the hindu tamils up to that point. 3)The Srivijayan emperor, Diwakara explicitly described by a Chinese official document in 1077 as the foreign ruler of Chola while 4) Rajendra I which is King Kulothunga’s other name was identified by that same Chinese document as simply the king of Chola. Implying that he is a subordinate to the king of Srivijaya 5)An inscription was made in a Guangzhou temple testifying how its restoration around 1064-1067 was funded by Diwakara, the king of Srivjaya. Taking into account the affirmation of diwakara as chola’s foreign overlord by the chinese govt in 1077 , we can arrive to a conclusion that the subjugation of chola by srivijaya happened between 1064 and 1077. 6)A letter was written by a Song dynasty official in 1106 clearly stating that Chola is a subject of Srivijaya Throughout Kulottunga's 50 year rule chola remained in Chinese records as the subject of sriwijaya. Upon his death chola ceased to be under srivijayan suzerainty and they immediately embarked on a nationwide cover up campaign to try erase the big time humiliation they have just endured. Hence the death of king viararajendra was registered as “killed in a civil war”. A genealogy that links kulothunga to past chola kings was fabricated . Such falsification explains why Kulothungga’s genealogical links could not be verified to this day. Even a poem touting the destruction of kedah by Kulothunga was also created.under this nationwide denial campaign crazy.gif Kulothunga’s swivijayan background can be ascertained not only by the fact that names containing the word ‘tungga’ are common in sriwijaya and non existent in chola before 1070 but also by his eastern region origin mentioned by a cholan inscription. Speaking of inscriptions, those found in chola territories can only be taken seriously if it does not glorify chola Since the inscription claiming successful chola attacks against sriwijaya could not be independently verified by any other side, it can be summarily dismissed as delusional state sponsored fantasies.

Ar Win Srivijaya rule java, sumatra, malaysia, and philipine. hence Malay language is the lingua franca of the region , Sri Vijayan is a Malay buddhist empire. even now Indonesia adopt Malay language as their official language not javanese. Chola reign in srivijaya doesnt last, they have issue administering Kedah Tua, and others Sri Vijaya state because of language difference. nobody speak tamil here. we Malay only adopt Pali Sanskrit nomanclature from a mahayana buddhism teaching. but our language is Malay language

Sebelum menyatukan Mongol dan menaklukkan dunia, Genghis Khan pun berwacana,hanya ada satu matahari untuk dunia dan hanya boleh ada satu penguasa untuk dunia ,tak ada matahari kembar.! Hampir sama dengan kisah penyatuan negara China kuno oleh para kaisarnya.. semua dilatar belakangi oleh keinginan untuk menghentikan peperangan yang ironisnya harus melakukan perang.! Persaingan untuk survive antar kerajaan kecil maupun besar lah yang melahirkan konsepsi Nusantara.. Sejarawan hampir sepakat bahwa konsep penyatuan Nusantara di inisiasi oleh Kertanegara raja Singhasari dan hanya mampu di eksekusi oleh Gajah Mada dari Majapahit.. Cholas conquered Sri lanka in 11th century AD and by Pandiyas in 13th century AD. And Sri lanka have never been a part of India unlike pakistan and Bangladesh. So technically the statement from our textbook is a false one.

Philippine language has many Malay or Javanese languages. Tagalog is not the only language. One of example is Visaya usually spoke from central and southern Philippines which they have strong Austronesian race (java or malay)

The wars the cholas undertook were entirely for furthering the economic cause of Tamil traders and merchants - whose prosperity brings prosperity to the empire. The naval expedition into South East Asia, followed by installation of puppet governments(regimes, rulers etc.), ensured that tamils could have economic prosperity. This is literally the same as neo colonial actions taken by the US in recent decades. And this literally why you and I pay taxes - to give the government or king the resources to further our collective cause.

Rajasingam Muthusamy kalingga has been erased in ashoka era. In central java rose up kalingga kingdom in 8th century ruled by a queen. Perhaps some of the kalingga dynasti in india flee to java. but Kalingga kingdom in java immiadiately erased by srivijayan expansion to other island.

Srivijaya were an empire at that time, as just any other empire they were composed f multiethnic grup, but under one government political body, that is politically unite, not culturally unite.The central government was composed of malay race, but back then they didn't speak as we consider 'nowadays malay'. They also heavily influenced Java, which had different language. And after the mighty Majapahit eradicate what's left of srivijaya after Chola invasion. The Srivijaya descendant were scattered across archipelago.

The Srivijayan descendants created the mighty Malacca Empire , later the descendants kingdoms of Malacca created Malaysia. That's why most Malay kings ( Malaysia and Brunei) came from an unbroken lines of before Srivijaya, Langkasuka, Srivijaya, Malacca up until today of about 4000 years. Srivijaya was an exonym, its autonym must be Malayu, then they formed Malaka ( Malacca) and later Malaysia. LIke Srivijaya and Malacca before - they were federation built on negotiations and peaceful unions.

Before Parameswara run for malacca, he had been beaten up badly by Majapahit on Tumasik, and for decades Malacca was paying tribute to Majapahit. Until Majapahit consumed itself in civil war and states under it was broken away by arab missionary urging for insurgency (pasai, malacca, demak, japara, makassar, brunei, etc).

Probably the only invasion made by an Indian king beyond the sub-continent.

Srivijaya did attack but it not against the Cholas but Sri Lankan Buddhist kingdom. Chola golden age ended with the Vijayalaya kings departure. Srivijaya does not have any role in that as they were friends until 1070

A very funny comment. The Chola Empire flourished until the early 13th century. On the other hand the Sailenda Dynasty of Srivijaya vanished after the invasion of Rajendra Chola the Great. His grandson Kulothunga Chola was even described by the Chinese as the King of both Chola and Srivijaya.

The idea for the video series is appreciated.The information provided is good as well. But the narration could have been better. It seemed a little rushed through. After a sentence there needs to be a pause, for a second or two ,for the viewer to absorb the facts.The same goes for the visuals too. When you show a map, hold it for few seconds ,so that the viewer can take in and comprehend all the information that is being showed. A little dramatization in the voice would enhance the narration as well. Having said that I look forward to more improved videos.

@@higuitasantos7546 In the end, both Sirvijaya and Tambralinga lost to the Khmer Empire. The Tambralinga kingdom became part of the Khmer Empire and Srivijaya had to pay tributes to the Khmer Empire. After the Khmer Empire defeated those two, they sent their army to invade Burmese in Southern Burma. The result was probably unsuccessful but this came from a burmese chronicle so it can bias.

The fact is, even Srivijaya quickly recover themself after cholas invasion, they hardly repeat their glory in southeast Asia. As a matter of fact, Srivijaya empire replaced by Dharmasraya few period later. Dharmasraya then becomes part of Majapahit empire which becomes the most influential empire in southeast asia and broke hegemony of Yuan dinasty. None of chola, tambralingga, nor khmer can took advantage of the weakening of Sriwijaya

Hindu's name just 50 years only given by British. Actually it's Tamizh Saivam. It's mostly Siva temple until 7th King 👑 of Jayawarman except Angkorwat is Tamizh Vainavam for Perumal build by 2nd Suriyawarman. Now Buddhist slowly changed and conquered Perumal temple as a Buddha. Srivijaya is actually has entered stage of decline even before the chola invasion. The srivijaya has lost many territory before the invasion even began. The srivijaya is also not in a good state. Just years before the chola invasion, the javanese has launch a surprise invasion into the srivijaya many times. srivijaya finally has to seek protection from china to finally be able to repel the invasion. The srivijaya also did not defeat the javanese. It only support a revolt, and did not sack the javanese capital.

Kalvindran Balamuraly First sekali, jika kita mahu tahu sejarah, haruslah tahu akan perjalanan sejarah itu sendiri dari berbagai sumber. Kamu tidak boleh tahu sejarah cerita secara sekerat jalan sahaja. Kamu perlu tahu selepas Chola menyerang Sriwijaya, apakah yang terjadi pada Kerajaan Chola selepas itu. ? Sebuah Kerajaan yang kukuh Maritimnya pasti tidak akan duduk diam jika Kerajaannya diserang musuh dari luar. Mustahil Kerajaan Sriwijaya hanya mendiamkan diri apabila Chola menyerang tanpa ada serangan balas kerana Kerajaan Sriwijaya sendiri mempunyai banyak Kerabat diRaja yang memerintah di dalamnya. Oleh sebab itulah amat penting kamu cari bagaimana kehidupan Kerajaan Chola selepas membuat serangan ke atas Sriwijaya. Saya amat pelik dengan sikap kaum Tamil yang amat gemar ambil sejarah sekerat jalan selepas itu beranggapan Sriwijaya itu runtuh kerana diserang Chola. Sebetulnya Sriwijaya runtuh akibat diserang Majapahit, bukan Sriwijaya. Chola tidak mempu menguasai seluruh Sriwijaya kerana Kerajaan Sriwijaya terlalu besar. Saya akan ceritakan kepada kamu sesuai mengikut rujukan sejarah yang tepat ringkas dan padat. Pertama sekali kita lihat pola penyerangan Chola ini. Kerajaan Chola menyerang Sriwijaya tepatnya di pelabuhan Kedah pada tahun (1025 Masihi). Diwaktu itu Sriwijaya beribu kota di Kedah yang dipimpin Maharaja Sangrama Vijayotungga. Serangan Chola mengejut ke atas Maharaja Sangrama ini telah membuatkan Maharaja Sangrama kalah dalam pertempuran sekali gus Chola berjaya mengacau ekonomi Sriwijaya di Kedah waktu itu. Kekalahan Maharaja Sangrama ke atas Chola ini telah diketahui oleh abangnya iaitu (Samara Vijayothungga). Akibat dari kekalahan Maharaja Sangrama ini, tahta Maharaja telah digantikan kepada abangnya iaitu (Samara). Samara dan Sangrama ini adalah anak kepada (Mara Vijayothungga). Saya boleh buktikan dari rujukan : Paranavitana went off the track in his interpretation of Stanza 4. This is.what he writes on page 45 of his book S. Paranavitana, Ceylon and Malaysia (Lake House, Colombo, 1966) : "The daughter of Mahendra (Mahinda IV) was espoused by Maharaja Maravijayottunggavarman, Maravijayottungavarman and was the mother of Maharaja Sangrama (Sangrama Vijayottunga) and Maharaja Samara (Samara Vijayottunga) . . . Mahinda IV's daughter had, by a Javaka prince, a son named Purandara and a daughter named Sundari. The latter was espoused by Mahendra, a son of a brother of Mahinda IV, and had a daughter named Sundari." Jelas ? Kesemua nama dinyatakan dalam rujukan di atas adalah nama-nama Maharaja Sriwijaya dan Javaka. Kamu boleh research sendiri di dalam mana-mana maklumat di dalam Google wikipedia tentang Kerajaan Sriwijaya dan Javaka ini. Selanjutnya, Dicatatkan bahawa pada tahun 1044 Masihi, Rajendra Chola telah melawat sendiri beberapa kota di Srivijaya yang masih berada di bawah penguasaannya. Ketika itu, Maharaja Samara Vijayatungga telah menghantarkan seorang puteranya yang bernama Purandara untuk membunuh Rajendra Chola, sebagai simbol pemberontakan orang Melayu dan kemerdekaan Srivijaya. Kematian Rajendra Chola sememangnya telah dinyatakan sesetengah pengkaji "mati dibunuh oleh pemberontak" dan kematiannya menjadi MISTERI. Kamu boleh rujuk sendiri. Sebenarnya pemberontak itu adalah Sriwijaya. Mereka ingin membalas dendam kepada Chola. Ketika kematian Rajendra Chola, Empayar Chola ketika itu menerima raja baru bernama Virarajendra. Sebaik sahaja kematian Rajendra Chola, Samara Vijayatungga sendiri naik takhta dan mengisytiharkan dirinya sebagai "Maharaja Srivijaya". Purandara sendiri telah diamanahkan oleh Samara Vijayatungga untuk menghalau saki-baki tentera Chola dari setiap kota yang masih dibawah penguasaan Empayar Chola. Selepas berjaya membebaskan seluruh kota-kota Srivijaya dari pengaruh Chola, maka Maharaja Samara Vijayatungga sendiri telah pergi ke Sri Lanka dan membantu pulau tersebut bebas dari kekuasaan Chola. Buktinya dicatat jelas di dalam "Prasasti Madirigiri Slab" yang dibangunkan Maharaja Mahendra untuk memperingati jasa Maharaja Samara yang telah menghalau Chola keluar dari Sri Lanka : In the seventh year of his reign (circa 1060), King Mahendra VI of Ceylon set up the Madirigiri Slab Inscription of Mahinda VI (No. 8 in Epigraphia Zeylanica, Vol. VI, Pt. 1, PP· 39-58, edited by S. Paranavitana, Ceylon, 1973). I will guote two short passages from the translation (see section 14 above) ; “…digubal sebagai memperingati Maharaja Samara yang menghalau keluar Chola dari seluruh bumi Sri Lanka. Kampung Mehendibapiti,yang mana dimiliki oleh oleh Maharaja Samara,hendaklah diberikan kepada penyewa, ia hendaklah diingati bahawa pada masa ini, kita telah dibebaskan oleh raja ini, ia harus diingati bahawasanya,kampung-kampung dan tanah kami telah dibebaskan oleh raja ini, ia juga hendaklah diingati bahawa walau bagaimanapun banyak kampung yang dimiliki,berapa banyak rumah-rumah dan taman-taman yang dimilki,rumah-rumah dan taman-taman akan kekal tanpa pegawai dari istana menceroboh hak mereka dan merampasnya dari mereka.”- (Inscription Madirigiri Slab ; King Mahendra VI) Adakah Tamil tahu cerita serangan balas Sriwijaya ke atas Chola ini berlaku lebih hebat ?? Tahukah kamu bahawa Raja yang memerintah Sri Lanka dahulu ada dari keturunan Sriwijaya ?

Kalvindran Balamuraly Kalau nk sembang sekadar menaip kosong, . Kerajaan Chola hanya diketahui Raja pertamanya selepas abad ke 8-Masihi sahaja. Raja yang memerintah Kerajaan Chola sebelum abad ke 8-Masihi tidak mempunyai sumber menyatakan siapakah Raja memerintah Kerajaan Chola. Jadi jika Kerajaan Chola benar-benar kuat dan aktif, mengapa tiada sumber mencatatkan nama Raja Kerajaan Chola sebelum abad ke 8-Masihi ?? Raja pertama yang diketahui memeritah Kerajaan Chola adalah (Vijayalaya Chola) yang memerintah pada tahun (848-891M). Sebelum Raja ini, Kerajaan Chola berada di zaman gelap dimana tiada sumber dan aktiviti yang menceritakan tentang Kerajaan Chola ini. Ia hanya diceritakan di dalam Sastera dan Hikayat Tamil sahaja. Kerajaan Sriwijaya pula diketahui kukuh Rajanya melalui Prasasti-Prasasti dan catatan perdagang luar bermula dari abad ke 4-Masihi. Sudah menjadi pusat Perdagangan dunia bermula dari abad ke 5-Masihi. Bermakna Kerajaan Sriwijaya sudah menguasai lautan dan perdagangan lebih awal 500-200 Tahun dari Kerajaan Tamil Chola. Dalam catatan Arab juga mencatatkan tentang keluasan Kerajaan Sriwijaya ini. Saya akan nyatakan bukti rujukan kepada kamu : ^^^Abil-Hasan ‘Ali bin al-Husin bin ‘Ali al-Mas’udi (al-Mas’udi) dalam bukunya "Murujuz - Zahab" menceritakan luas Kerajaan Sriwijaya(Zabaj) : “Wilayah Zabag ini tidak tergambar luasnya, Pulau-pulau di bawah tongkatnya begitu banyak hingga mengambil masa dua tahun untuk mengelilingi seluruh jajahan takluk walaupun dengan kapal pelayaran yang terpantas ketika itu." Bukti kekuasaan Meritim Alam Melayu yang dicatatkan oleh perdagang-perdagang dan pengkaji-pengkaji barat tanpa ditokok tambah : ^^^Kepulauan Melayu juga dicatatkan sebagai Pulau-pulau 'Kun Lun' sebagaimana kajian sarjana Eropah tentang Viking Timur Jauh ini: “By the third century B.C.E. the Chinese had taken notice of Malay sailors approaching their shores from the “Kunlun” Islands in the southern seas, which the Chinese learned were “volcanic and invariably endowed with marvellous and potent powers”. . . . The Chinese also knew these islanders as builders and as the crews of ocean-going vessels engaged in long-distance overseas trade. The Chinese, in fact, appear to have learnt much from these sailors. The Malays independently invented a sail, made from woven mats reinforced with bamboo, at least several hundred years B.C.E., and by the time of the Han dynasty (206 B.C.E. to 221 B.C.) the Chinese were using such sails (Johnstone, 1980: Page 191-192) ^^^^ Orang barat mengakui kapal alam Melayu lebih hebat dari kapal orang Rom dan Alexandria. Ini dapat dibuktikan dengan penemuan tinggalan zaman gangsa Peradaban Sa-Hyunh (700-250 Masihi) yang boleh dijumpai seluruh Asia Tenggara.” (Sumber: Maritime Souhteast Asia To 1500: Lynda Shaffler) ^^^^Paul D. Buell, 2009 menyatakan : - "Kemajuan maritim yang dialami oleh bangsa Cina adalah berlaku sesudah Maharaja Song melantik bangsa Melayu Champa menjadi Pegawai Maritim yang sekaligus menjadi Shahbandar di Fujian. Kemudian setelah China dikuasai oleh Monggul, jawatan tersebut kekal disandang oleh warga China berbangsa Melayu Champa malah Maharaja Yuan melantik Pu Shou Keng sebagai perekacipta kapal perang dinasti Yuan." Buell, 2009). ^^^^Portuguese Documents On Malacca mukasurat 213 mencatatkan : - “Flor De La Mar mempunyai geladak haluan dan geladak buritan yang tertinggi antara galleon milik Portugis, dan ini cuma sekadar hampir menyamai geladak Jong Melayu sahaja…”(Portuguese Documents On Malacca ;m/s 213) ^^^^Portuguese Documents On Malacca mukasurat 213 : - “Dinding Jong Melayu begitu tinggi sekali sehinggakan orang Portugis tidak mampu memanjatnya (apabila menyerang jong), dan dinding jong setebal empat lapis tidak rosak sedikitpun oleh peluru meriam....Flor De La Mar mempunyai geladak haluan dan geladak buritan yang tertinggi antara galleon milik Portugis, dan ini cuma sekadar hampir menyamai geladak Jong Melayu sahaja…” (Portuguese Documents On Malacca mukasurat 213) ^^^ Dipetik dalam buku Maritime Souhteast Asia To 1500: Lynda Shaffler : “Bangsa Melayu berlayar dengan bantuan bacaan angin dan bintang, melalui pembacaan akan bentuk dan warna awan, atau melalui pembacaan warna air laut, melalui gelombang dan juga alunan ombak lautan. Orang Melayu dapat mengenal pasti lokasi sebuah pulau sejauh 30 batu jauhnya melalui pembacaan pada spesis burung, ikan dan batu karang yang ada di dalam lautan, sambil dibantu oleh alunan ombak." (Sumber: Maritime Souhteast Asia To 1500: Lynda Shaffler) Kesimpulannya, bagaimana kau boleh pertikai Kerajaan Melayu Nusantara kononnya tidak hebat ? Ini hanyalah sedikit sahaja catatan, saya mempunyai 1001 bukti Melayu adalah bangsa yang hebat.

The lore also says Rajendra cholan sent kulothonga cholan with advanced naval weaponary from Turkmenistan and defeated srivajaya with ease for second time when there was disruption in srivajay. Chola also imposed taxes for all Ships and porting passing through the channel and conquering srivajaya empire was even more important.

Rois Ibn Muklas lol , the Srivijayan actually split into two kingdom , the Singaphura who ruled all Riau Islands and Malay Peninsula later become Sultanate of Malacca and Dharmasraya Kingdom who later become Pagaruyung kingdom who ruled over Central Sumatra up to Eastern part of North Sumatra . This is proven by the name of their dynasty , the Maulis. In the Pagaruyung first king Adityawarman their title was Sri Tribhuwana Raja Mauliwarmadewa and also the First king of Singaphura also have "Mauli" on their title . Thats why Minangkabau people was given a space of land on the malaccan territory long before Islam came about 14the Century. Thats why also when you read the Malay annals its written that Sang Sapurba become a kimg in the Minangkabau while his oldest son become King in Temasek.

The Khmer ruler was several times attacked by the Malaysian ruler of Tambralinga who were part of Srivijaya. So the Khmer ruler sent a mission to the Chola Empire to ask for help. After the successful Chola invasion the Chola Emperor Rajendra Chola put Suryavarman on the throne of Angkor Wat.

Sri Wijaya Kingdom did a punitive counter attack against Chola and this was recorded in the Chinese History. Sri Wijaya counter attack ..... and chola fall "The Chola kingdom is subject to Srivijaya, this is why during the Xining reign period (1068-1077) we wrote to its ruler on coarse paper with an envelope of plain stuff. Dated 1106 (Songshi p489: 14087)" nd subsequently the appointment of a Buddhist malay from Sriwijaya as the new king of Chola. These events are : 1)Violent death of the Chola king,Virarajendra in 1070 2)The empty throne of chola was filled by a stranger bearing the name Kulotungga, A kind of name which would be nothing unusual in Srivijaya but was totally alien to the hindu tamils up to that point. 3)The Srivijayan emperor, Diwakara explicitly described by a Chinese official document in 1077 as the foreign ruler of Chola while 4) Rajendra I which is King Kulothunga’s other name was identified by that same Chinese document as simply the king of Chola. Implying that he is a subordinate to the king of Srivijaya 5)An inscription was made in a Guangzhou temple testifying how its restoration around 1064-1067 was funded by Diwakara, the king of Srivjaya. Taking into account the affirmation of diwakara as chola’s foreign overlord by the chinese govt in 1077 , we can arrive to a conclusion that the subjugation of chola by srivijaya happened between 1064 and 1077. 6)A letter was written by a Song dynasty official in 1106 clearly stating that Chola is a subject of Srivijaya Throughout Kulottunga's 50 year rule chola remained in Chinese records as the subject of sriwijaya. Upon his death chola ceased to be under srivijayan suzerainty and they immediately embarked on a nationwide cover up campaign to try erase the big time humiliation they have just endured. Hence the death of king viararajendra was registered as “killed in a civil war”. A genealogy that links kulothunga to past chola kings was fabricated . Such falsification explains why Kulothungga’s genealogical links could not be verified to this day. Even a poem touting the destruction of kedah by Kulothunga was also created.under this nationwide denial campaign crazy.gif Kulothunga’s swivijayan background can be ascertained not only by the fact that names containing the word ‘tungga’ are common in sriwijaya and non existent in chola before 1070 but also by his eastern region origin mentioned by a cholan inscription. Speaking of inscriptions, those found in chola territories can only be taken seriously if it does not glorify chola Since the inscription claiming successful chola attacks against sriwijaya could not be independently verified by any other side, it can be summarily dismissed as delusional state sponsored fantasies.

Hafez M there are muara takus and muaro jambi temple dates back from srivijaya era. Great buddhist temple of borobudur in java is also built during shailendras dynasty of srivijaya. Although javanese was predominantly hindus at that time. Malay language was sanskrit in its core, it gain wide usage in indonesian archipelago mainly during malaccan sultanate in 15th century, they boost trade and islam throughout the islands.

No this is not true. The King who ruled Srivijaya from 1068 to 1077 was a Chola prince called Kulothunga Chola who conquered Srivijaya during the second Chola invasion of Srivijaya ordered by Virarajendra Chola. He was the grandson of Rajendra Chola who conquered Srivijaya in the first Chola invasion.

Some of the info you have is correct, but Kullotungga was not a Srivijaya. His mother is the daughter of Rajendra chola, and his father is from Chalukya empire (north india). Pls refer to the leyden grant. srivijaya and kedah was a vassal state to the cholas. Thats the agreed historical fact from QUALIFIED historian. and oh, not to forget. Kulottunga means in Tamil - The most powerfull race. also, the Chinese official did not even utterted the word "Buddist malay".

Raja raja chola real name was "arulmozhi varma " his mother and grandmother mother were eastern chalukyan princess (telegu origin) prakrit speaking people.. Now mother tongue of raja raja chola was telegu not tamil.

Take it from the south Asians to give you correct history.
