We're not staying with Him because He is no longer hanging on the cross. He said it was finished. He paid the debt. We honor Him by loving others, particularly the saints, living holy lives that want give the ungodly opportunity to blaspheme his name or hinder the gospel because of our behavior, and taking the Gospel to the lost. It doesn't mean you're called to be on a street corner, but there are people in your inner circle, family, friends co-workers you know aren't saved. And if you don't know have you asked?

Sam, thank you. I have been a minister for a long time and have never once heard it taught this way. I, along with most others that I know where taught that God could not look on sin and that was why Jesus said that. It never sat well with me but I didn't know and accepted it. Not only that, but taught it that way. God forgive me. Thank you Jesus for showing me and my wife the truth. Jesus was not a Muslim because Islam came 600 years after Jesus, nor did Jesus worship Allah because, according to the bible Jesus is the Lord of the prophets and the incarnate uncreated begotten Son of God. Furthermore, according to the Quran Allah never had a son but in the bible Jesus refers to Yahweh as our Father. Since God answered Him, it's obvious it's an answer to mankind. Therefore we can now rejoice for our salvation in Jesus. We get access to such salvation and we profit of it by uniting ourselves to Jesus who got it for us.

This is such a precious gem of revelational teaching on the finished work of Christ on the cross. I have never seen it from this angle before esp when you interpreted Jesus' cry to mean "How much longer do I have to endure this?" and when darkness had passed to mean it is now over. Theologically, I am now seeing this in a different light. In personal application, the Lord is assuring me of total recovery from a physical affliction that I've been enduring and staying in faith and resting in Christ trusting that He has healed. And now it is over. Hallelujah! The Lord bless you all the more Brother Sam!

Jesus was with God for eternity. When he became man he can feel what every person feel especially being sad. Being on earth was the time he got separated from his father. At the cross, he felt all the pain as a human so he felt all the human feelings including sadness and feeling abandonment, but thats because hes a God in perfect human form. Its like a child who is looking for his dad when he is in trouble. Thats how jesus felt and maybe why he said that.

If you say that Jesus was God from eternity and that he became man to acquaint himself with the feelings of human beings like being sad etc, what then is the basis of God's attribute of omniscient, the omnipotence etc etc ? you are here telling us that the Al knowing God is incapable of knowing the true nature of his own creatures unless he turn,s himself into a human being before he fully becomes acquainted with their nature or qualities; is this the true nature of the all knowing God who is said to have a true knowledge of all his creatures? is this what you want us to believe?

When he was in the moment, when he was in the flesh, he felt all that pain as any human would, his holy side didn't give him a pass from feeling this.

@@Durray13 sir, just like how you would most likely never fully understand how the Big Bang actually happened, you will never fully understand how God works. He is eternal and out of space, time, and matter. So actually, yeah it makes sense that you are confused. Because we are limited. So you are begging the question. You think our understanding can answer everything but it can’t. And I just hope you realize you have faith in a lot of other things that aren’t God. And I hope you humble yourself enough to have a little faith into something that is supernatural and literally out of this world. Because those are the things that we don’t know answers to and might not make ‘sense’ to us because we don’t have that sense in our DNA. Why? because the Lord made us limited so that we choose to either ignore Him or have faith in Him.

Yahshua was holding the sins of the world going all the way back to Adam, and so he was Fulfilling what Adam was feeling in the Garden after he partook of the forbidden fruit. So Fulfilling scriptures is what Yahshua was doing 100%

@@jimjuri6490You should understand that when Yahshua was on that cross he was holding the sins of all the world past present and future, and what ever your sins were along with mine and all people, these sins were causing Yahshua to bleed from his pores, he had to go back to the beginning where it all started to redeem Adam and Eve from what they had done, so Yahshua saying Eli Eli Sabach Ta Na, was in direct fulfillment of Adam since Yahshua is referred to as the 2nd Adam in scriptures.

Genesis 3:17 And to Adam 'God' said: “Because you listened to your wife’s voice and ate from the tree concerning which I gave you this command, ‘..... 19 In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.” The simple story of the Bible: One son of God (Adam) brought in death to the human family by his disobedient act. (Romans 5:12). Another son of God (Jesus) died in his place to ransom the human family from dying. (Romans 5:18,19). God's 'life for a life' law was satisfied.

@@jimjuri6490 Adam was not Deceived but gave his life for his bride, this is in type of what Yahshua did he gave his life for his bride, YAHSHUA died and indeed was holding all the sins in that body to redeem mankind if we believe tge report of the true gospel of Yahshua.
